Second experience with Royal Garage Door was way worst than the first one. They left the job side a mess. Packing material, Screws everywhere. I was told I have to take care on disposable of the old garage door and it wouldn't be a problem but it was ... they also left all packing materials behind which we never agreed on .. I basically did part of their job with paying full amount on their work not right and disappointed.. Had a garage door that never opened once since I was born. I wanted to turn the garage back into an actual garage so I could park and charge my EV car indoors. I don't normally leave reviews, but had to make this exception because I'm so please with Laura and Rafael. I sent out a few quotes via Yelp when my garage door broke down. Laura was the first to reply and was quite responsive with her follow ups. She knows her fair share about the garage doors and all the components that she was able to provide great recommendations based on my need and budget. Her quote was more than reasonable for the amount of work. She was also very patient and worked around my schedule so that I wouldn't have to take multiple days off from work. On the day of the installation, Rafael called me early to confirm the address and my preferences for the door and opener. He showed up on time and was very professional. We ran into many issues because my garage was one of those old tiny Brooklyn garages that's not a standard size. Rafael was quick on his feet and able to come up with all the fixes needed to make it work. Rafael is super efficient, reliable and has a great sense of humor. He described himself as a perfectionist and his work definitely showed. Quick response, good solid work, fair price. One of my pulleys split and prevented the door from closing all the way. I knew the job would be over my head, sho I called Royal because they are local and had decent reviews. They showed up the same day. The pulley, spring and cables on my old wooden garage door were completely rusted and snapped apart. One guy from a different company came by and gave me an estimate to repair the door, which seemed kind of high, and another estimate to replace it entirely for less than double the cost of just repairing it. He seemed determined to sell me on a new door and either way would not be able to do the job until the following week. The next day Royal Garage Door sent two guys over, and not only did they offer to repair the door at half the cost of my previous estimate, they were ready to fix it right then and there. This is a very dishonest company. I called them on Friday to change a cable on my garage door. They said they will send a technician Monday. Operator said I have to pay $75 to change this cable. I agreed. Monday morning Technician called me and asked for $125. Be careful about this people. Very rude, dishonest and crook people. read more

Had a bit of modification work to complete first on our existing door before he could get started but everything turned out beautiful. Let me start off by saying a few great things about this company. Called them up for a quote on a new garage door and liftmaster opener installation. Spoke to a kool and calm guy named Rafael and got an estimate right there during our conversation which lasted about 10 minutes. I told him what i wanted and he gave me all the info i needed on the door and opener. Rafael didnt try to sell me something i did not need and went off what i told him because obviously i did a bit of research and i got 2 other quotes which were both over his estimate, one being ridiculously high ( for the same products ) and another not too much more then his. So he called me literally yesterday and said hey they have the door and glass design option you want in stock can i install tomorrow? I was shocked how quick the turnaround was i almost said no because my garage was full of stuff i had to re-organize but it actually made me clean it up asap lol. He came in and banged the job out like a pro, he said 4 hours and he was right on the money. Broom swept my garage and left it spotless. He installed everything brand new, the tracks, springs, brackets i mean everything and it was not even that bad of shape but said to me listen i do it this way to ensure you wont have any problems and i appreciate all that he did for me. I would definetly use this company again without hesitation and i highly recommend them to you. Good contractors are hard to come by and if i know someone good i keep them on speed dial.
