My sister came home for Thanksgiving and brought some Royal Crest Dairy products with her. She brought cheesecake, coffee cake, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. The pies and pastries are part of the seasonal offerings at Royal Crest Dairy. The offerings were sweet without being too sweet. The flavors were very memorable and tasted like how the holidays should. The food traveled well and tasted fresh after traveling a thousand miles. If their food tastes this good after traveling half the country, I can't wait to try the rest of their menu the next time I am in Colorado. I highly recommend Royal Crest Dairy! read more

I have been getting Royal Crest Dairy delivery for almost 10 years. They have been incredibly reliable with delivery even in bad weather...consistent delivery times no matter what! They put crushed ice in with the summer deliveries, to keep products chilled. Their dairy products are so fresh! It is very rare to have spoilage or early outdates on the dairy products. Don't bother with this delivery service. OVERRPICED and Countless times our milk soured within a few days of opening the half gallon. Also, I had fraud on my CC so contacted their customer service department to let them know since my electronic debit didn't go through. I told them I would not put another card on file (don't leave my card on file on any site) because of previous issues with fraud. I asked for them to email me an invoice and paid the $33 dollars I owed by check. They added extra charges to my account after I submitted payment. Then proceeded to call me and email me every single day because they said I still owed them $11. What ensued was nothing short of harassment.. for ELEVEN DOLLARS. I complained to their customer service department multiple times. They apologized and said the emails and calls would stop, but they didn't. Seriously, not like I owed thousands of dollars to them so unsure why they feel the need to harass their customers like that. Royal Crest keeps adding such great products! They work with small businesses in Colorado, which I like. This summer they had River Bear all-beef hotdogs and bratwursts along with buns from a Colorado bakery. Each product was sold separately, or there was a deal for buying all three. We really enjoyed that. This winter they've had holiday spiral-sliced hams and foolproof boneless prime rib from River Bear. We got the prime rib for Christmas dinner and were delighted. Really fantastic - juicy, tender, and flavorful. Royal Crest eggnog is thick and delicious. The cottage cheese cannot be beat! Tungsten Toffee's NederCheddar popcorn is a great snack. The dairy has offered several different meal kits and cookie doughs throughout the year. City Bakery and Sara Lee breads when you don't want to run to the store. Polidori breakfast sausage links are wonderful. Really, we have enjoyed everything we've tried. And of course the milk is great! The delivery service is excellent, the customer service people are excellent, and ordering on the computer is so easy and efficient. I highly recommend Royal Crest Dairy! read more

Milk often expires before the expiration date on the container . When it is hot outside their delivery times are very early so milk is sitting out in none insulated plywood boxes for hours. read more

I recently moved back to Colorado, started deliveries with this company as soon as I could. Their prices are reasonable considering how much time you would stand in line at any store to purchase dairy etc items. My only wish is they had glass bottles for the milk. read more

Royal Crest is pretty great - we've had them since 2015. I initially signed up just for the milk because we drink a lot of it and I'd end up going to the store for that a couple times a week and be like "Well, since I'm here..." and $50 later, walk out with our milk plus a bag or two of groceries. The delivery service is very reliable and I don't think they've ever missed a delivery. You can change your delivery items online, which we do just about every week. You just have to get it in by the cutoff time or you will not get it! The cutoff is the cutoff. But if you forget as I have done several times you still get your regular order. Their website has recently been upgraded and is a lot easier (and fun) to shop and modify your order. They also have an online chat feature which is great - we have maybe one or two issues with our order per year that they are always all too happy to fix, and I always do it via chat. As for the products, the milk and eggs, which are our regular order, are good if not a little pricey, but we do get almost all of our milk from them. I still buy eggs from the grocery about half the time though because they are always cheaper, even cage-free organic are sometimes cheaper at the store than the non-organic cage-free from RC (same brand though). Some of our favorites have been the Tico's green chili, Raquelitas tortillas, the Boulder dips (green chili cheddar in particular), Chippewa cheese, and occasionally I'll grab some bacon or sausage from them, both local brands. A lot of it has just become available lately. Between the products and the convenience, I really recommend the service. I feel like it's only gotten better since we signed up, and it was already pretty good. They've really done a nice job with the website upgrade, and the product lineup has been significantly enhanced in the past couple years. read more

I had delivery from Royal Dairy Crest for 12 years. For the first 11.5 years everything was great and even though its a little more expensive than grocery store milk it tasted better and the convenience of weekly delivery outweighed the costs. Unfortunately , the last 6 months have been terrible. Late deliveries, missed deliveries, and completely unreliable. One warm day the milk was left outside my garage at noon , another time my milk was delivered to a neighbors Longmont box . One morning I saw the milk being delivered at 7am and when I went to bring it in it was warm . After trying to work with them and many chances I cancelled this week. Needless to say I am disappointed with Royal Dairy Crest but I am giving them three stars because they were good for a long time. I think possible the regular delivery driver left and they are having a problem getting drivers, I also noticed that I have less neighbors that have a RDC box on their porch so possible the route is not prioritized anymore but I have decided it is no longer my problem. read more

Overall great. Super reliable delivery service and for the most part I love the products. It's great being able to modify my order up until 7pm the night before delivery. They have this amazing bread from City Bakery out of Denver. It's not organic, but it's always so fresh and I wish I could find it somewhere else! Also, River Bear Ham for Christmas was simply delicious. My nitpicks - no Organic Milk. They claim it's up to the same standards, but it's not officially organic. Same with the eggs. They have Egglands Best Cage Free, but nothing organic or free-range. Second - The Eggnog has high-fructose corn syrup in it. If I wanted this in my Eggnog, I'd just buy it from the store. Ironically, the seasonal Pumpkin Eggnog doesn't! And it's amazing. Best all natural eggnog I've found was their Pumpkin, 2nd is Trader Joe's. At the end of the day we cancelled, I can't support a company that uses High-Fructose corn syrup. This isn't the 80's, just give us the good stuff already and stop putting garbage fillers in your dairy. Charge me extra and use cane sugar or something natural. Cancellation wasn't horribly painful. First you talk to a CSR Rep, then they transfer you to somebody for cancellation. They seem to really value feedback for cancellation. Then that person transfers you to the billing department to close out your bill. Entire process took about 6 minutes. read more

After receiving 3 bad royal rich containers royal crest promised they would correct it by running out a fresh batch of milk. They never attempted to fix it, despite promising they would. These containers were 1 week from expiration and unopened, they were completely expired when open. I even offered to proved it. I also work early every day, so the milk is put in my fridge promptly at 0500 every week. So far I have had 2 more expired milk containers for a grand total of 5. They have not compensated me for the bad milk at all. They are full of talk and no action. They will not work to fix problems. We canceled our order permanently this month due to selling us spoiled milk and making us pay for it. read more

TL;DR USE LONGMONT DAIRY INSTEAD I started my milk delivery with Royal Crest and after a few months, I cancelled and moved to Longmont Dairy. CONS: 1. The milk bottles are not sealed. For me, I just didn't understand why they can't put a tamper seal on the caps, it's not right. Longmont has no issue doing this. 2. The milk didn't last very long. This made me question where they are even getting it from. Is it shipped in? I think it's plausible. Longmont milk can go for two weeks + which tells me they likely to actually source it locally or very close. 3. The website/user experience really sucked for 2019. Anyone could do better. Longmont Dairy definitely has their customer support and website on point. PROS: 1. They are slightly cheaper than Longmont but in this case, you get what you pay for. read more

My review of this company is split down the middle. I really enjoy the milk. I find it incredibly fresh and it tastes fantastic. I have never had an issue with incorrect billing nor broken eggs, leaking milk or any other such issue. My issue came in the form of inconsistent delivery times. The delivery times can swing dramatically from week to week and I can never plan for it. Sometimes I am barely in bed and I can hear the delivery truck at midnight. Then I have to get out of bed and bring it all in as I am uncomfortable leaving food products outside for 7 hours. Other times, it's not here by the time I go to work at 8am and I have to run home on my break to take the milk inside. I still currently get weekly deliveries but plan to cancel it when I get around to it. read more

When I first moved to Denver I wanted to have my milk delivered by Royal Crest Dairy. I called them and agreed to have a drive come over to my apartment to discuss prices and options. When I told him I wanted to "think about it," everything seemed okay and he left. However, that's when the problems started. He began calling me two, sometimes three times per day soliciting me to sign up. He even made unannounced visits to my home for many days in a row. He'd usually show up unannounced at around dinner time and then come back around 9pm. I never answered the door for his visits because I was concerned as to why he was harassing me. I eventually emailed the company directly to complain. Now, a few years later, my next door neighbor uses them for her milk delivery. They've been making deliveries late at night. Last night was the last straw as they made a delivery (very loudly in their loud truck) at 2am. That's right. 2am on a Tuesday night. Loud truck. Doors slamming. We had an associate in our neighborhood, Quail Valley, today that was trying to promote the brand and have people sign up. The associate that came to our door was very rude and interruptive. We ourselves are Longmont Dairy customers and have been for about 6 years. He explained to us the cost difference, but everytime my mom would say something he would just rudely interrupt, which is really not a great thing to do if you're trying to gain new customers. We also tried to explain that we like how Longmont sells their product in glass bottles because its healthier than plastic that is being washed over and over, and he explained that it's bpa free, etc. He just didn't get the hint that we weren't interested, and when he did finally leave he proceeded to walk across our lawn even though the driveway and sidewalk was cleared. Funny thing is that we considered changing over about a year and a half ago, but I think today was a great sign that we love Longmont way much more, and will continue to buy with them. read more

Okay, if you're thinking about signing up for home dairy delivery, you're probably wondering how it works. Here's the scoop: Once you sign up, you will be assigned a delivery day based on your location. I'm in Baker, just south of downtown Denver, and it's Wednesday here. You can set a weekly order, and adjust it up until 7pm of the night before your order. They offer milk (of course), juices, cheese, butter, eggs, cookie dough, bottled water, chip dips, and plenty of other stuff. The deliveries, for me, are made before I leave for work, which is at 5:50am. On my walk to the bus, I do pass the delivery truck, so it can't be too terribly long before that. Milk has never been hot or frozen when I take it in. Once I forgot to take it out of the box before I left for work, but it was fine even ten hours later since my porch offers shade, and we weren't in 95 degree weather yet. You will need to accept some personal responsibility - when I forgot to take my milk out that day, I certainly wouldn't have blamed them if it had "gone bad" ten hours later. Come on, people! So, get your "extras" order in on time, and remember to grab your delivery early! Some of the negative reviews on here are bizarre. :) The milk is more expensive than in the grocery store, that's a given. It's a little over $5 per gallon now. But, it's actually great milk, and jeez - it's delivered to your front door. My favorite is the 1.5% - I tried to go down to the 1%, but it was a little too watery for me. But, I have worked my way down from whole to 1.5% without noticing. Anyway, I've been a customer since May, and have absolutely loved the service. I have been a customer of Royal Crest for over 30 years. Delivery is absolutely reliable--maybe missed twice in 30 years due to snow. Their new website is very convenient for setting up your order, though initially it was a little bit confusing. But, it continues to improve. With COVID, they have added lots of new products. We love the Polidori breakfast sausage and seasonal treats like egg nog. Their customer service is top-notch. Yesterday I ask for a new milk box to replace my 30+ year old box. My request was responded to *immediately* and the box was swapped out with this morning's delivery. Recommend to anyone! read more

I love their milk because: --It is "gently pasteurized" so the enzymes are not destroyed, but the pathogens are. This also improves the flavor. --They don't accept milk from cows given growth hormone --They aren't certified organic, but they apparently avoid pesticide-laden milk and have been tested to show this. --It comes to my door! Their product isn't the least expensive, but we have found that the quality of their milk for example has us enjoying their 2% as much as other brands whole milk. They are easy to order from and simple to adjust the weekly orders based on needs. Nice on a snow day to up the order and not have to put on winter wear to get our eggs. After seeing all the negative customer service reviews, I felt compelled to write my experience with them. My experience has been really good overall. We've been using Royal Crest for about three and a half years now and they've been really nice and courteous. The drivers literally run up to my door before sunrise which is a little weird, but I get it, they're in a hurry. It was kind of funny at first watching a dude with a flashlight on his head run up to my porch through my Ring doorbell. I've called in and complained about the occasional broken egg, about the milk container having a leak, or even scenarios where I've forgotten the stuff outside in 100 degree weather. The always worked with me and helped me out. I never felt screwed over. I've called in several times over the course of these three years changing my minimum order rather than spending time each week or month adjusting the order to my needs. I just call them here and there changing the minimum order so it's kind of more automated for me. I like the product, I like the customer service, but I don't know if we 'love' them like we did when we first started. And now I found a new love for Almond milk, plus we're cutting back on dairy, it's harder for us to justify keeping the service. Also the service could use some 'modernization', it is very 2005 feeling. It's 2018, I think an update to their service, website, more product, and maybe even a smart phone app would do a lot for the company. 4 stars simply due to the fact that they're living in the past and won't update. We have been with Royal Crest for well over a year now and we couldn't be more impressed. Our 3 children LOVE it and miss it whenever we are out of town and they have to drink anything else. I'm not sure our 1 year old can tell the difference, but our 9 & 14 year old can and they tell me about it whenever they have to drink something else. Beyond the taste and quality, their customer service is amazing! Good customer service is so rare anymore and I was beyond impressed with my last 2 interactions. Last week I called to change our delivery address (new house) and update our weekly order. Today I called because we didn't receive our order at the new address. Not a big deal, I could've picked some up at the store, but the customer service rep I talked to said that she would send a manager out to deliver what we should've received. WHAT?!?! We raised our kids with larger orders, but when the kids were grown & gone, our needs decreased beneath their minimum order. They kept us anyway because we were loyal customers. An incredible menu of local and high quality food staples from which I get weekly fresh bread and milk delivered right to my doorstep in a stylish cooler bag. I'd say it is better than anything I could get at the supermarket. The price is cheaper than any grocery delivery comparison, and only marginally more expensive than your average bread / milk bought at the store. Even better, when I moved to a house about 10 miles away they were still able to deliver and got my next week's items without missing a beat. First, not sure why my post is showing up in San Francisco, I live in South Denver... In any case, Would give less than one star if I could. Salesperson originally gave me false information to have me sign up (didn't tell me about monthly service fee that's charged even if I didn't order any product). Was out of town and only got one delivery first month (a gallon of milk for $4) and was charged a $4 service fee that I didn't notice until the next month. After I cancelled, I told them I didn't want any supervisors calling me about this, but that same night, the 'sales person' called me to tell me that he disclosed everything and that I was wrong, and started arguing with me about cancelling. The next month when I noticed I immediately cancelled and sure enough yesterday was charged again for service for the month that I cancelled. Called just now to complain about it, but customer service is horrible. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and Brian hung up on me. I quite honestly didn't notice any difference in quality (especially since most of the products (besides milk) they sell you can actually buy cheaper at King Soopers). What a waste of resources, simply not worth the aggravation. Customer service is horrible, horrible, horrible. I want to compliment on how great the service is! A few days ago I went online to add to my original order since I have company in town. Unfortunately when I received my order on Monday morning the extra did not come in. I called and was told I never placed the order online (which turned out to be true because I went back online to check) but the man that answered was very nice and said he will deliver for me on Tuesday the following morning! Of course I was super happy about that since it is not their regular route. Their call center closes around 4pm and after 6pm I realized I will run out of milk also before the end of the week so I tried to call to add the 1.5% milk to my special delivery on Tuesday. That was not possible nor was I able to add to my order online(you can change before 7pm online) because it is not a regular day. :/ I decided to write a short note to the delivery guy requesting a gallon of 1.5% milk and leaving it in my royal crest box. I want to also add that we had a pretty big storm overnight here in Highlands Ranch and by golly, the extra milk was there too this morning! Cudos to the deliver man and the whole team at Royal Crest! My whole family gets to enjoy your milk this Thanksgiving! I just canceled my account with Royal Crest after 3 plus years because it turns out that they haven't been billing for the milk they delivered for the last 4 months. How does this happen one might ask? This is a business practice for Royal Crest because this is the second time this has happened, which has led to my cancellation with the company. I placed my account on a hold for 1 month in the summer and because an agent "forgot" to reactivate my card, it hasn't been charged for the last 4 months. Fast forward to today, I owe $80 for milk. No one from the company bothered to contact me, so I no longer require the services of companies that can't get their stuff together. The milk is good and there is a definite taste difference between this milk and the milk one can get at the store, but when business practices fall sub par, I can't willingly support this. I promptly paid the $80 for milk then posted this review. I received one phone call, and one email with heart felt messages from John at Royal Crest. Luckily for John, he was not in the office when I returned his call today. I have received two letters in the mail from Royal Crest since canceling their services. One stating that I was past due and the second one stating that I still owed an $80 balance. Way to go on souring this customer experience that I changed the star rating to 1. Royal Crest, you no longer deserve any stars in my book. read more
