This apparently was his response after he realized he couldn't get it done without having me move all other contractors due to him not communicating like he should have been. Very unprofessional and not acceptable. (And no, I'm not making this up, the text are attached so you can see how he responded) As a homeowner and business owner, I fully understand needing to be flexible with a schedule when working with contractors and weather. I however expect them to communicate with me professionally, not "via text" as below less than 5 minutes after I initiated contact and called him to see when he would be on site. The owner knew I have other contractors working on the same property that need their schedules to be met out of respect for me as a client, and them as contractors as well to complete their job, or jobs on time, so yes I have expectations. (And so do the other contractors) All of the dates were provided to the owner of Ganncrete for this job as well as when other contractors needed to have work completed and he failed to meet them or communicate with me so I could work around and move other jobs. I also got the permit for this job, had Dig-Rite and all utilities marked for the day the job was supposed to start, not the contractor or Ganncrete. Any other contractor I have ever hired did all of the permit work as part of their services. I don't know any homeowner, or business owner that doesn't have expectations to have a job done correctly, on time and with open communication. Myself being the client, I called the owner of Ganncrete after his text below and asked him to not bother showing up for this job and yes, extremely disappointed. Within 5 minutes another contractor gladly scheduled to do my job that worked with one of my other contractors that is working on the overall project and I moved the rest of the jobs around to accommodate them. This is all I asked from Ganncrete, was to communicate. I had to instigate all of the communication except two or three e-mails I received from his company. I wish him and his company well, but this isn't the way you work with a client. I hope if you decide to use this company, you don't have expectations. Text Message: Ganncrete: Hey bud... Rob here , I understand where your coming from but we are pretty much on lake time in a way. We really won't get in a hurry or super schedule. I'm just letting you know before we don't meet your expectations. Me: Rob, My expectation is to have job done this week as planned. A/C unit is already moved out and lumber is ordered for deck and scheduled for delivery next Monday. A/C company comes back Friday afternoon to set the unit, but concrete has to be done prior to be able to set the unit on Friday. See you tomorrow. Ganncrete: That's what I'm saying. With us a guy is better off to have zero expectations Expectations = Premeditaded resentments I'm trying to tell you we don't work with that.

From the owner: Ganncrete comes from Generations of experience in the concrete industry, with over 25 years of…read morepersonal hands on experience, family run / family oriented, range of services, creative problem solving, one on one consultations, free estimating services, work all year round (weather permitting), LLC with legal and ethical operations, respectful and responsive crews, real people with real expectations (do not put on a facade of perfection, just do the best work possible), very knowledgeable in most areas of construction related topics and needs, huge networking circle for referring customers for what they also need, and more.
