Spent over $500 on a mannequin from them on ebay. The pole goes up, but does not stay in place as it is missing the inner mechanism. I am very aware of how these mannequins work as i already own several. After arguing with them for two weeks, they finally agreed to send me another pole, but alas, that one does not work either. Furthermore, the item is filthy, rusty, and shop worn--it was sold as "new". If you can shop in person, make sure you check everything before paying. I get the impression that, like far too many businesses, they are putting defective, returned merchandise back on the shelves and passing it off to their customers. read more

I visited the warehouse in person to purchase my first dress form for at home sewing and I was very happy with my experience. Upon entering the shop, Dave immediately welcomed me and offered me assistance. He showed me their new and used dress forms and helped me to decide on the best type for me, explaining the pros and cons of a full vs half size form and advised on selecting the correct size. After making my decision the purchase was very easy and staff delivered the form and placed it carefully in my car so that it would not get damaged on the drive home. I chose Roxy Display after reading online reviews of several dress forms and determining they were the best quality for the price. Because I live locally I was happy to visit in person and save on shipping costs on top of that. I can't wait to get started on my next project! read more

My boy friend is yelping because he had a bad experience at this place. First off, I would have given them no stars, but it wouldn't let me. During college, I ordered a dress form and I received a broken neck plate. I emailed them immediately and followed all the simple directions (ie. Taking pictures of the original box etc.). I know it was USPS fault, but what I thought was simple directions turned into a nightmare because I didn't get to finish my project for school. My new dress form didn't come for a while. That and I wasn't advised to keep one important devise that holds everything in place, so I my new order arrived without one. I called and called. I also emailed frequently and I was ignored. I guess because it seemed I was asking for too much, but I am a customer who didn't receive what I ordered. Instead of waiting for these people I bought a bike peg which is the only thing I can find locally for a cheap price to act as a replacement. Now it looks ghetto. Not happy! Anyway, you'd think I learned, but their pricing is cheap compared to people in the Bay Area. So I bought a male mannequin which I needed for this week. It arrives on time, but yet again, it was all jacked up. It was the wrong size and it had a right broken arm. So I emailed them everything asked of me during my first bad experience at Roxy Display Inc., and I didn't get a response, so I called customer service and Jenny answered. She told me to forward her the email I sent to sales@studiorox and email it to her directly. Btw, they should have a "Don't reply to sales@studiorox.com" if they only use it to email customers. Anyway, she didn't respond with "I received your email" or anything, so I called her again and I swear she has me on call display because she doesn't answer. Finally, I called another department Rose (Sales Department) and I guess she made the lady email me. My response from Jenny of customer service was really short and it didn't answer any of my questions. I emailed her back and still no response. I called the sales department again and she said Jenny was not at work today. I asked to speak to another customer services agent and she said Jenny was the only one. Normally, when someone is sick, or not at work shouldn't another person cover them? I mean CUSTOMER SERVICE is the most important thing in business! I know this lady is at work. She just doesn't want to answer my calls. Anyway, Rose the sales department agent told me to forward her all my emails and she said she would try to help me. I doubt she can. I just hope 1. She can resolve my problem, 2. Let me know my current status, or 3. At least refund us. At least if they do one of the three I can plan accordingly. For only a hundred dollars more, I should of went to Mannequin Madness in Oakland, but those guys are expensive for a liquidation company. Great place to buy mannequins. I just bought a mannequin here today and I wanted to write a review while everything was still fresh in my memory. First I was looking for a mannequin online and stumbled upon their listing on eBay. The shipping was $50 so I checked their website and I was so happy to learn that they have a branch in California and in New Jersey. I emailed the customer service on how to order from them etc.. I got a prompt email from David Ruff that same day. You don't need to have a business license to buy here. Just come in but it's best if you have an appointment or have talked to a representative before. They take cash or credit cards except Amex and no perp snap checks. It was easy to get to the store because it's right off of Rt 18 and they have a big sign so you can't miss this place. You walk on and someone greets you and there is a showroom area where you can see all the mannequins. They all have tags with serial numbers and price. Great place because they have different types of mannequins and dress forms. They also sell wigs. If you don't like any of their mannequins you can also have one custom made. They are also reasonably priced. I liked how casual everything was..David just let us walk around by ourselves to peruse. No sales talk...no pressure. Then I just let him know what I wanted...paid for it and then picked up my mannequin at the back. I got home and instantly assembled my MZ-Lisa1 so beautiful...great craftsmanship. No damages and all the pieces fit and it's easy to assemble. I will definitely buy from them again in the future and I recommend them for everyone who needs store displays. I ordered showcases and a wall unit for my shop but at the time of delivery one show case had visible damage but the other two showcases were looking fine from outside but when I unwrapped the pallet I found wall unit damaged badly I called Roxy display cases but I was told that I signed for one damaged showcase with the trucking company so they will replace only one but the other wall unit, the damage was hidden and was not signed at the time of receiving as a damaged so they will not do anything about that. read more

DO NOT purchase from Roxy!!!!! Bought a $500 display cabinet with a $475 shipping charge anrecieved 5 boxes ,3 of which we reall damaged on the corners. (vey thim cheap box material with no packaging padding .I called the number couldn't get anybody left a message. No return call. Called again ....nothing. So I figure I'm stuck. I drove over 230 miles to pick up a display case, purchased a LED kit for the case for about $100 plus tax. On their site the LED lights looked Warm white, got them home and they were "blue" as the sky. I barely touched them and asked if I could just ship them back. They said all pick-up's were final but they'd make an exception but I'd have to pay to ship them back (fine) PLUS 35% re-stocking fee. For a little box of LED puck lights?! You gotta be kidding me! I ordered 4 slat wall systems and paid a premium for shipping and when the arrived they were not assembled stacked improperly which concealed damage that could not be seen by my receiver or the shipper when the company was notified they took two days to send me incorrect assembly instruction and offered me a 50 discount on a unusable unit. read more

Do not purchase from this company!!!. All products are made in china and are not packaged properly especially their glass items. I drove 60 miles to pick up a few showcases because I did not want to deal with delivery which was insanely high and did not want any surprises when I recieve the items. Well when I picked up the items they were placed in my truck incorrectly which caused a few of the glass pieces to crack and shatter; Come to find out when I arrive at my place of business. I call the rep and was told to take a picture and send it in. Glass is shattered!!! what more is their to say?? theres a dent in the glass lol; Its obvious they placed it wrong in my truck and took no responsiblity. I even offered to pay for a new pieces but they took my $$ and called it quits on me, Poor customer service. I hope they go out of business and get what they deserve. 4.5 out of 5. I ordered a 6 foot long Maple/Glass display cabinet (Product : SC-SC6M_Knocked_Down per their invoice ). I admit I was leery. The low price (1/5th the cost w/o shipping cost) and the hotmail email response got me thinking but I figured what the heck it is 1/5th the price. I ordered and it arrived a couple weeks later (NJ to IL). The assembly was fairly easy and straightforward with a drill, small drill bit, phillips and a phillips bit. The wood veneer and glass was not damaged and it looks great assembled. The maple veneer matches our office furniture exactly. Very happy with the price and the quality. It is not a display for a busy store w/kids and people leaning or sitting on it but for an office it looks sharp and looks good. The hotmail email address is what prevents the 5 stars - that initially didn't comfort me but it is a minor issue. FYI, take off the foam pads that protect the glass right away. After a couple weeks of sitting (if you can't assemble right away) they are like cement on there and I needed a razor to get rid of them. read more

BEWARE! The prices are great, but just hope and pray your item arrives in good condition. Customer Service is lousy. After purchasing several mannequin heads, a repeat purchase arrived cracked and had an unsatisfactory "fleshtone" color and misshapen mouth. Instead of just being able to send it back, like 99.9% of other online stores routinely allow, Roxy requires that you take pictures, and that's only if and when you finally get a response from them. All for a $26 item! You may luck out and receive a product that is not too defective, like I did at first, but eventually you will get what you pay for, like all the rest of the one-star-but-really-no-star reviews here. If you like to gamble and don't mind losing money as a result, try your luck with Roxy. Customer Service never answers with a live person; you have to call long distance to New Jersey even though they have a Calif. number, leave a message, and they say they will call you back. After leaving two messages four days apart, I only finally got a live person by pressing #1 for the sales department; they're always ready to take your money. Second time ordering from this place and I had the worse experience ever with them. For starters they sent me the wrong merchandise, then when I brought it to their attention they were trying to convince me to keep it, secondly they did NOT want to replace it until I returned the WRONG merchandise. The day I contacted customer service I was told I would have to wait because Monday's are very busy, then when they finally sent out the correct merchandise I received it with stains on the bottom the customer service manager there by the name of Nini told me out right to go buy some spray and wash and clean it-REALLY! Bad experience! They sent me a wrong item without some parts of the base. It took me a several days to reach an agent of customer service. Then they requested a picture of that item, that I have got. They send me a back shipping label, but refused pay for pick up service, what i need, because huge box doesn't fit into my small car plus I'm not able to load it by myself. When I asked about this, customer service agent was not able to resolve this problem. I spoke with top manager, who was terribly rude and refused to help me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HAVE BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They have a nice looking web-site, but very bad service. Then the next day they told me there was a problem with the zip code. They wanted to ship it to a total different city. I get packages for my business using the exact same address almost everyday. So I emailed them the same day thinking they would have contacted "USPS" and fixed the issue so it would ship. It is now 4 days later and still nothing. BUYER BEWARE!!! This was a terrible, terrible experience. I bought 200 wood hangers from this company. They were all crooked, warped, a few cracked. The notches for hanging clothes were all in different places. Overall...they did not look nice hanging on a rack. When I contacted the company, they were really unwilling to work with me. They told me these issues were 'minor' after making me take all the hangers out of the box and take photos of them. Literally...some of these hangers swing two inches higher than another. There is no consistency at all. They told me there would be a 35% restocking fee. I had to send them back at my cost. By the time everything is said and done -- I'd end up $25 ahead. It wasn't worth taking the risk for another $45 shipping fee and they refused to send a call ticket. Also, could not understand the customer service person on the phone. She barely spoke English. I ordered a display case and when I opened the boxes I noticed the glass was broken. There was no visible damage on the outside of the box. I immediately called Roxy to report the issue and get a replacement part. However I was denied the replacement glass because I did not register damage with the delivery driver. Mind you when the driver delivered the item he told us to inspect the outside because he didn't have time for us to check the item. He also said he could not return any opened boxes. I spent $900 now I have go spend additional money on another piece of glass. I was going to purchase more items since I am remodeling my store, but I will never buy another item from this store. This place is HORRIBLE!!! I ordered a female dress form from them and they sent a damaged defective item! When I called to put in my complaint, they argued that there was no way my item was defective or damaged. I sent countless emails with pictures and videos and still nothing! Their customer service is HORRIBLE. Both Jenny and Jennifer were not helpful and refused to exchange my dress form with a new one that was not damaged or defective. The manager Mimi never called me back after trying to track her down! I am now stuck with a form that does not work and I am out hundreds of dollars! Do not order from these people!!! I purchased 50 display cases from them (over $20,000) and they sent them on 7 - 8 foot long pallets. The shipping company (Con-Way) sent two guys and a couple regular length pallet jacks. The pallets weighed a few thousand pounds each and the delivery guys needed my help to unload and bring the pallets into my store. Con-Way didn't send the proper tools or enough guys. Fortunately, I was able to help and had a pallet jack to use but it got damaged while helping. Why should I have to help unload a truck? I spent $1000's to have these delivered. Con-Way blames Roxy display for improperly packaging the case components. Neither Con-Way nor Roxy will reimburse me for my broken pallet jack nor my labor and this was on a $20,000+ order. Take your business elsewhere and save the expense and aggravation. read more

I received a mannequin recently with marks all over the lower legs. The marks will not come off after ive repeatedly tried to remove them. They appear to be skint marks off some sort. If these people would send me a defective item like the one they would, it says a lot about their personal values and respect for their customers. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! We ordered a very nice rack for our store and it arrived timely, but it was damaged and we could not assemble it. I am a woman, and the metal was bent. I called customer service and got voicemail, so I left one. (the box was huge and it took up an entire dressing room which I needed in a couple days for a busy Saturday!) So I called back again, still voicemail, so I tried back and dialed sales and low and behold if THEY ANSWERED! I told them about my plight, and they said I had to take pics of everything, including shipping labels. product damage etc, and send all to Jenny@roxydisplay.com. which I immediately did. still no response. the next day I called again, still voicemail, so I called sales, and again THEY ANSWERED, and the helpless sales guy said "well, Jenny handles all the complaints and you will just have to wait until she gets back to you, it can take anyway from 24 -48 hours, well, it had already been over 24 hours, and I tried to explain that I wanted to try to fix it, but didn't want to be held liable, and that the huge thing was taking up valuable real estate in my store and I needed to know what to do! he basically just said, sorry, you'll have to wait your turn, she will call you back when she gets down to you on the list! so I beg a male friend to try to fix it EOD Friday, before the Saturday rush, and with a hammer and pliers, he got the pieces banged together enough to at least fit, so we could assemble it. so, here we are 5 DAYS LATER AND STILL NOT EVEN A RESPONSE, A WORD, A CALL, NOTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! THEIR SALES DEPT WILL ALWAYS ANSWER THE PHONE BUT IF YOUR SHIPMENT ARRIVED DAMAGED/BROKEN YOU ARE SOL!! I ordered the female display mannequin and received it the next day. Item was fine. I received ANOTHER one the following day due to SELLER's MISTAKE. They called my cell phone and emailed me to tell me that it was 100% their mistake and that I have two options: 1. I take this big box back to the post office to send it back (on my own time!) 2. they were going to give me 15% discount off of the entire price if I keep it ($39 + $17shipping!!). First of all, it was NOT my fault and 100% their mistake so I should NOT have to do anything for them. They should've told me to just keep it or at LEAST give me 50% off and have me keep it. Instead, they try to even charge me the $17 shipping for the item I did not request!! I called the company and tried to work with the manager and sales rep. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
