Unfortunately we came close to closing time so a lot of things were gone. But there were still some huge croissants and Chocolatine, Quiche, cakes, pastries. We ordered six chocolatines to go and one quiche Lorraine. The Chocolatine were 2.65$ each, the croissants were 2$ ezch and the quiche were 15$ each. I was simply amazed by the size of the Chocolatines I couldn't pass up get! And even after a 1 he ride back home the Chocolatines were still flaky and crunchy. We put one of them in the microwave for 5 seconds just to melt the chocolate inside and wow the chocolate was owy gooey melted while the outside was still flaky and buttery! The quiche we actually had it the next day. I put it back in the oven 325 For 15 minutes. Checking in between when I was close to five minutes left to make sure they didn't burn. Cutting the slice the layers looked great! Starting from the bottom there was A layer of pie, A layer of ham, on top of that a layer of egg and finally a layer of cheese. The crust was a little thick for my liking but it was still very good. I was very impressed by the Chocolatines so I would definitely get more of those! I'm pretty far from Île Perrot and was nervous about how to pull this one off. Fortunately the cake master at Wow Cakes saved the day. Not only did he offer delivery, but the service over the phone and email was absolutely delightful, the price was right and my mom says the chocolate ganache cake was delicious. The cake itself was beautiful: he pulled out all the stops for garnishes and added some classic writing on top. I'm really looking forward to what else Wow Cakes has in stock for future parties and heck, just regular pastry cravings. Highly recommend!

There are all different kinds of Yelpers, but I would say on balance Yelpers are more adventurous…read morethan the overall population. If you happen to be in Quebec Province and travelling from Montreal to Quebec City or vice versa, there are several towns you might stop in to get a cross sectional sample of history, from Chambly, a synthetic, plant and just add water instant suburb in the middle of a corn field, to Cowansville and Waterloo, Bromont and Shefford, places that are seeing tradition eclipsed by suburban sprawl, are still mainly agricultural, and are seeing some hard times, but as they will tell you, hard times are nothing new for these towns that started as pioneer settlements four centuries ago. In any case, to get a sense of all this, I would recommend stopping in at the local boulangerie in any of these towns, getting an elaborate pastry such as tartelette aux fruits, milles feuilles, napoleon, paris-brest, chocolatine or just an eclair with a great cup of coffee, capuccino, espresso, tea, or your choice of caffeinated beverage, and look out the window as people walk by and take you through a story both fascinating and sad at the same time. If you can, buy a loaf of bread to take with you, and if you are feeling forgetful you might neglect to realize this until you are safely back at home.
