I appreciate the smaller shops as they really know how to treat their customers. Quality work, good prices and keep you up on progress. They have become my go to shop for all my repairs.

My fault cause I brought them the bearings apparently. when all that it needed was a rotor spacer $4 part. Not sure how with all the experience in the building that couldn't be deduced... their response was " as long as the rotors not rubbing it's fine" it wasn't anymore cause they pressed the bearings incorrectly.... Still my fault cause I supplied the bearings.... Then they put in a 1250 kit on my sportster in which every gasket leaked atleast twice and I was given some grief at the fact that I wanted a bike that didn't leak from the owner and push back. On top of that I'd been chasing a noise they refused to actually pay attention to and just gave me the run around every time I dropped it off. only to find out doing my own due diligence the bolts they removed to install the kit aren't torqued to spec. I wasn't charged for any of the additional gaskets needed however for the one job my bike saw their shop atleast 5 times that summer, not counting the time I had to re drop it off cause they didn't complete the service I requested. I originally had a better review posted but I'm still leaking oil from my base gasket on the rear cylinder and I'm having to go through my bike and make sure bolts on the drive train are actually tight and I'm constantly wondering what care was taken re building my rocker box's and the other internal parts if I have bolts on the outside loose. Shops beautiful, summers nice. Other than that my experience wasn't great and as it's known for being performance driven I expected to be taken care of much better and I shouldn't have ever even had any push back to having my bike fixed properly.

I've worked in lots of garages -- automobile and motorcycle -- and I have never seen anyone work like John. He is methodical AND quick. I watched as he did the repairs and I have never seen anyone follow good practices and recommendations like he did. His price was reasonable for average work, low for his work. I expect to lean much harder on John in the future. Superb work by a master mechanic.

I contacted John at Moto Fix and gave a rough estimate just for the seal replacement and suggested if I wanted to save on labor cost I could remove the engine from the bike myself and just bring the engine in if I felt comfortable with doing that, which I did. Since the engine had to be completely disassembled I told John to do a "top end" and anything else that needs repairs, just keep me posted. John kept me updated and informed every step of the way. John is very meticulous and I feel he gave my bike the same care as if he was working on his own bike which is why I went to him in the first place because I don't much trust the big bike dealers repair shops. It did take a little time for John to get it done as he had a lot going on and he is basically a one man show but it was well worth the wait. The final cost with all extra work was very reasonable and slightly less than I was expecting
