A true Stacey, she arbitrarily directed me to lead my tour on shady trails, where edible wild plants, which need sunlight, don't grow. My 13-year-old foraging expert daughter scouted out the shady trails in advance and verified this. Feeling responsible to the participants, I led the tour in sunny places, where we found plenty of plants, despite Currier's arbitrary and wrong-headed objections. Nevertheless, Currier hired me and my daughter to lead a mushroom weekend in 2017. She signed a contract, including a statement that if she canceled the event, we'd be paid in full. Then, when it was way too late for me to schedule other events, she pulled the rug out for under me, canceled our event, and hired someone else to do the mushroom weekend, despite the signed contract, causing us to lose a much-needed weekend of work. When I tried to contact her dad, Tim Currier, the owner, with whom I'd been acquainted since 2008, he showed his true colors and ghosted me. Through a laborious process, I took the farm to small claims court. The trial occurred remotely during the Covid lock-down. No one from the farm showed. I won, and they had to pay me after all. Be warned: These people are crooks, and will skunk you if they can get away with it.

Came here to check…read moreit out as the pedestrian bridge over the river had been closed for repairs last week and wanted to see how things looked. This trail is wide, clean and well-maintained. While we were there, we saw lots of walkers and people with dogs. There are a lot of rules and they are laid out by signs as the entrances. It does seem odd that they request no running or biking on the trail as it seems like those activities wouldn't be an issue but for now, it looks like it's just for walking. We followed it about a mile up and then turned around and came back. We could have gone further. Next time we might head south towards Brookfield. I really enjoyed using this trail. One note, the parking lot off Silvermine Road near the police department is small but if you go up to Pocono Road and take a right, there's a big municipal lot there and you can access the trail behind the soccer fields.

All I saw was nice green and yellow leafs everywhere I loved the colors especially with how sunny and bright the day was. They had this really cool bridge you can look around on and check out the water. The bridge did have some gaps in the center so hope no one drops anything as you definitely won't be getting it back. Besides that though the bridge was very stable. There was also signs of information/history about the park too if you like to read about that stuff. It looked like there were a few paths you can take to walk around doesn't seem like you could get lost easy. There was this one cool path where you can see nothing but yellow leafs around you on the path and it looked so cool. I also found this really old hut looked interesting too. Just watch your step but otherwise I didn't see any difficult paths. I would definitely come back to this park when I come back to visit again.

I had the pleasure of attending a wedding as a bridesmaid. The space was beautiful and spacious. The china on the lower level in casing was beautiful and the colors chosen have a very old home comfort feel. Takes you back a bit to another time. Lighting for images is great here and there is a handicap parking close to the ramps which make entry and exits very easy. They offer recycling and trash in their kitchen. The staff on site was very informative and kind. Overall, a very pleasant experience. The videos and photos we took look beautiful!!! I'd like to personally thank Tarrywile for everything!!

My only real complaint is that, like almost all CT campgrounds, they don't allow dogs, so I can't enjoy camping in the park, but from a day use perspective this is a great park.

The showers are clean and the water is just right. Every day the camp site workers come by to keep everything nice and neat. Definitely a place to return to in the future, we paid $77 for 4 days, 6 people, 2 tents & 2 vehicles.... you can't beat that for a great outdoors experience with the family.

I rode the trail today from Daniels Farm Road to Benedict's Home and Garden in Monroe. There is a fork in the trail with a sign that says "Main Street Spur, one way and Spring Hill Road Trail Route" the other way. I took the Main Street route and after about 200 yards I was at the edge of Main Street and I had no idea which way to go as there is no signage at all. I doubled back and took the Spring Hill Road route which took me to Victorinox. Here you either go left or right, again no trail markers. I went right towards Victrinox because it looked like that trail went around the the property but no, I was soon met with a no trespassing sign. So I doubled back again and found the trail again which took me to another trail head with no markings although I did find the Stephen French Store/Post Office marker, but no trail marker as to which way to go. I gambled and went right and found the Stepney Depot marker but no trail marker. I continued north until I came to the Benedict's Home and Garden Center, again which way do I go? Again I gambled and went right to Wolf Park which seemed like a logical way to go, however the park was closed for the Bicentennial?! Again you guessed it no trail marker to be found. I gave up at this point and went back to my truck and went home. Did I miss something? Did I miss all the trail markers? If I did please let me know where they are. Otherwise it was a great ride with some slight inclines and and mostly smooth riding. I would recommend it but be aware there are no obvious trail markers.

I took this journey at the start of February, and there was tons of snow on the ground. On the first day, I arrived at the Massachusetts parking lot around 3 PM I figured I had a good two hours before sundown. I turned back after walking a short way down the trail because it was so steep, I thought I was going to tumble into the river. When I got back, I watched a video of someone hiking on the Massachusetts side, and I realized that the trail is normally full of stairs This makes sense because it's very steep and that's why it's so short but because of the snow, the stairs are covered up I would definitely not recommend using the Massachusetts side in the winter On the second day, I got to the New York parking lot around 2 PM. I made it about halfway down the much more gradual and scenic trail before I turned back. I turned back because the sun disappeared behind the mountain, and it was dark and windy On the third day, I got to the New York side at 11 AM. This time I realized that the top of the trail is just always dark and windy because it's in a corridor between two mountain peaks. So I pressed on. It took me about one hour to get to the end of the trail. I walked pretty slowly and stopped to look at nature a lot. If you are not someone who is super confident staying on the path in the forest, these are fairly easy trails because it's just a straight line the whole way there and you are following the river the whole time. I'm so glad I didn't give up because the falls are one of the most beautiful magical things I've ever seen Instead of water flowing down through the ice, it was snow and slush bursting through the sections of the frozen waterfall the water exploding into 1 million tiny snowflakes from the top to the bottom I plan to come back here in the summer with my kids and I think they will really love it.

Looks like the MA lot -- you go down a steep, shorter hill to reach the falls. Along the way you'll pass by a stream and an array of Fall leaves. When you reach the falls, there were many people who climbed the little railing and took the rocky steps down to the falls. It's worth it -- as it's beautiful and a great picture spot. Dog friendly too!
