The Rogue is a magnificent river with never a dull moment. One minute you are hanging on for dear life, and the next minute you are reeling in steel-heads and rainbows. Garrett Helfrich was all that I hoped for in a guide. His ability on the oars made it all exciting, yet safe. My wife settled down after the first few rapids after she saw just how skilled he was. She said that she felt safe with him on on the oars. The entire adventure was a blast. The bite was a little slow, but we worked hard at the right spots and landed many fish.
