I've driven EVs (Tesla and Subaru) across the US and back 3x (with my dog) and have a LOT of experience with American charging stations. Ive seen ALL sorts of charging situations as they've developed over the years. Rove stations are head and shoulders above all that I've seen anywhere. I've often wished for them on my trips. Covered, safe (cameras and security), a great store with healthy options (and not so healthy if you want, too), staff walking around to help, CLEAN, people who remember your name, work lounge, WiFi, bathrooms, handicap spot with people to assist your charging, free vacuum, windshield cleaning stations, trash cans, a fast car wash that isn't restricted in car size, a place for my dog to walk, great charging prices, water bottle fill up, easy access from road and to highway. That's likely not even a complete list. I wish there were more of them! Truly the bar that all charging stations should be aiming for. read more

Back in the area and charging at Rove again. What a great place to charge. Just as I remember it... clean lounge, clean restrooms, a connected Gelson's branded convenience store. Best of all, the staff is still so friendly and helpful. Jeff, the manager, and Rosario and Leo, introduced themselves and were there for anything I needed. I found out they're opening a new location in Costa Mesa. Well done, y'all. A great business that is expanding fast. The net of it... a pleasure to stop here for charging instead of being isolated back behind a building or in a far off parking lot. Was curious about this EV charging station, so I stopped by on my down to OC to give the no touch car wash a try. Arrived and didn't need to charge, so I got in line for the car wash. There was a car ahead of me and it didn't take very long. You pay using the kiosk just outside the entrance. You select the wash you'd like and wait for the signs to drive in and where to stop. I picked the brush less wash, to avoid swirls on my paint. The machine moves above and around your vehicle. The wash itself was pretty good, however the dryer was bad, The dryers are located by the exit door, and you should drive out really SLOW, so that it can blow all the water off the vehicle. There are no signs that tell you this. So once the sign told me to leave, I drove out normally and well the blower didn't work very well. There are vacuums outside - which I used to blow most of the water off and used the towels I had in my trunk. Overall the wash was pretty good. There have a lot of chargers there, with all different ports. I didn't get to check out the pricing on the charging though. The restrooms are clean inside and there are tables to sit and work. Will give it another try next time I head down to OC. read more

I was in Irvine and decided to give my Kona a little "luxe" charging so I stopped in at Rove. Washrooms, food, security, and plenty of available chargers! Who could ask for more? I guess I could ask that the WiFi extended outdoors to the charging area, but so what, you can go sit inside at the work area and charge your phone there! Gelson's food was a nice touch albeit a bit on the pricey side but better than no food, eh?! Charging was a snap, fast, and less expensive than by my home. I really like the Rover app and the display on the charger keeping you informed of your $$$s spent, time, speed, etc. All in all, a good experience. read more

This is more than just a charging station. It's an oasis! Clean, quiet, and orderly. Chargers are easy to use, there are free vacuums, and there's a car wash that costs roughly the same as other washes in the area. The indoor lounge has plenty of tables, chairs, and power outlets. Restrooms are clean and there's a sink in the common area that doesn't require you to open any doors if you just want to wash your hands. The market stocks an impressive variety of items despite its smaller size--they had everything from hot coffee to fresh hamburger patties to Hot Wheels toys. Great visit again today! Many chargers working for easy fast charging hookup. They currently have the lowest price 24 hours at day at .48 per kWh. Usually some other locations only have that rate from 12am to 6am. We were promptly greeted by their service attendants and made to feel welcome. We visited the complimentary 24/7 break room and rest rooms. The attached mini Gelson's is nice stocked. When they're closed the break room has a self service machine for essential snacks. We enjoyed a 30 minute picnic at their outdoor shaded tables while charging up our EV. The quick car wash service on the way out was super convenient too. Hard to go wrong here. No waiting for a charge, a comfy waiting area and outdoors with tables & chairs, Gelson's coffee on the same lot, and top-notch customer service from Gelson's and ROVE attendant. The best charging station I've ever been to! We came here because the rates were better here than the Super Chargers nearby. $0.43 per kWh than $0.50 or more. There are Tesla chargers and Rove chargers. There's a waiting lounge with 2 TVs, WiFi, hydration stations, bathrooms. Gelman's market is next door, it's a smaller version but lots of fresh and yummy options there. Everything is super clean, Rove attendants are on site. I'd definitely come back! Rove is a lounge recharging stop....I came here to charge my car and its a great place to chill and wait while the car gets charged(requesting EV charge Service)...The restrooms are super clean. There is also free machine water that you can fill your bottle water and also there is a small Gelson's market next to it and a vendor machine. There is also TV screen so there is no dull moment. I needed charge for my EV and this location has my 5/5 favorite list...So if you are looking for do some of your groceries, have a lounge to sit and chill and use a crystal clean restroom and also enjoy TV and mot being outside in hot weather while requesting a charge for your EV this is your place to be. The Rove EV Charging Station in Santa Ana is a brand new charging area for all EV's! This location is only a few miles south from Disneyland, and a terrific place to get fast EV Charging for your Tesla or any other EV's. They have a lounge with a vending machine & restrooms that's 24/7. Their water fountains are similar to an airport, where you can also refill your reusable bottles. The grocery store is open from 6am - 8pm everyday, so if you go during those hours, you can purchase food & heat them up, and dine at the lounge. They also have a car wash here too, which their operational hours are from 6am - 8pm too. I really like this Supercharging area, as I wish & hope that they have more of these along popular traveled freeways & highways, such as along I-5, I-10, I-15 or I-40; then I would be stopping at these Rove charging stations a lot more! After seeing this on the local news a few months ago I had to check this place out. Located off the 5 frwy and within minutes off the offramp Lincoln blvd heading south bound. The Rove is a one stop charging destination with 40 combined chargers for Tesla vehicles and CCS charging. In addition, there's a customer lounge, car wash and a Gelson's recharge mini market. The cost of charging my Tesla was actually less than at a Tesla supercharging network during peak hours during the week. I was taken back how clean and how many staff members I saw during my visit. After checking the premises, I love the food and drink option at Gelson's, the practical layout of the lounge and there's even a car wash that includes complimentary self-service air, and vacuuming. I'll definitely return here before heading out to my next road trip to San Deigo. read more

Exquisite concept and execution! Large, well-lit, and well maintained EV charging station. A refreshing oasis right off the freeway in Oasis. Super clean restrooms. Awesome decor and cleanliness in the lounge. Supercharging costed $.39kwh. The Gelson's mini market closed at 8pm so we missed it this time, but definitely looking forward to checking it out. There's a vending machine with beverages and food for after hours satiation needs. The security guard was courteous and professional when I requested entry. Prior to Rove my primary charging station was EVgo. EVgo's customer service suck ass so bad that I'd rather drive further to get to this new Rove station. So far I've been nothin but impressed with Rove's concept and VIP service. The fact that Rove has live attendants onsite to help with issues is such an advantage and peace of mind. They offer nice clean convenient restrooms. Most charging stations are in plazas forcing you to seek public restrooms. Their lounge areas and collab with Gelson's Fresh Market making the experienced go by so quickly. I've taken advantage of their $10 sandwiches combo meal deal which is so affordable when you consider this ain't no 7-11 or Circle K. The selection is healthier and higher quality. Been here a few times later at night and the little market was closed. Which isn't a problem they are open from 6am-8pm so I get it haha but after hours need security to be let into the restrooms which is fine as long as they are there. Charging is quick simple and have a station like this is perfect. Gives both options for level 3 charging, wouldn't make sense to have slower lvl 2 chargers. I left earlier and the gentleman was nice in the store and super welcoming and a good vibe. Food options by Gels is pretty cool. Even when the store front is closed they have a refrigerated machine that can open and you can + pay for the items just by tapping mobile payment. Everything is new and clean so can't say much negative about the location. Area is fine and it seems like this station is even more competitive than standalone Tesla super chargers for pricing so if I need to juice up. Will check here first. read more

Such an amazing spot to stop and charge no matter what type of electric vehicle you have! It's very clean and the solar panels above the chargers give you really nice shade and the market is a nice place to hang out and grab a snack. They also have it's really neat car wash that gives you the option to have brushed or brushless car wash which is a really cool feature for anyone who is an automotive enthusiast. Ethan and Jordan answered all of my questions and we're super helpful in explaining the layout of the different chargers and how they work. Charging at this location gave me such a rush of emotion, I felt and was treated like a human being. Charging at 2AM to save money, in creepy dark parking lots with zero security and no bathrooms available is what is usual and expected. To be a creature of the night and blend in with other shadowy figures while planning to find the nearest Denny's to use the restroom. As a ride-share driver I frequent these places almost daily or rather nightly. Most nightmares that I have are usually centered around various parking lot scenarios. It's the down side of owning a Tesla. I stumbled upon this place one dark lonely night at %19 battery in downtown Santa Ana. On my way I was bracing myself for what I was going to do if I was attacked. What I found was absolutely shocking. Everything was well lit . A lady (like me) was fearlessly vacuuming her car, and not looking over shoulder. I saw another woman just casually walking to what looked like a cafe but it wasn't, although it did have tables and chairs outside. It was a Gels son's Mini Market!! They sell coffee and bagels, fruit cups, sandwiches and even toys for children! Rows upon rows of water tea and juices for sale, frozen meals (they have a microwave to use) hot pizza and hot togs they sell orchids, succulents and birthday cards. Wi-Fi? They've got it!! More than I can list here. Drumroll please,roll out the red carpet...BATHROOMS and many of them and if that wasn't enough they were CLEAN, CLEAN. They even have an automatic car wash!!! Even indoor seating. The trash cans weren't overflowing I had no fear of rats crawling inside of them! I didn't feel like some outcast I felt human dignity. This is my favorite place to go now (I've only been there twice) today was my second time. I spoke to one of the employees and I found out they are expanding and opening an even bigger one in Costa Mesa next month!!!! read more

This Tesla Supercharger is a hidden gem! It has everything you could need - a mini-mart, a lounge, clean bathrooms, fresh packed food to go (even sushi!), plus tons of snacks and drinks. This station is EVERYTHING EV drivers REALLY want in a station. During the day, the convenience and selection of the items in-store is top-tier! I charge often in the late evening, after long days working- having the security guard there brings me so much peace and a feeling of safety! Please keep that feature!
