flabbergasted this place only has 7 reviews. it's a phenomenal summer activity!…read more first of all this place is so well kept. they have a decent amount of bathrooms that are pretty nice. bring the kids! they have a large grass area for the kids to play before the show they have dinner options including lots of food options for picky eaters like chicken fingers. they also had lots of themed movie buckets and cups just like the movie theatre! you can also buy a radio for $30, and if you return it at the end of the show they'll give you back $25. i would definitely look around at the people next to you before buying one. we sat near a family that had a huge speaker. i paid online it was $7 a person. it ended up raining all night for us so we did have to sit inside our truck. the gates opened at 6 and the movie didn't start till 9. we went for opening weekend of how to train your dragon and it also happened to be pickle fest. it wasn't too busy at all, but i think the rain did keep people away.

At 70 years old, Harvest Moon knows what they are offering is special and the staff treat it like the fun experience it should be. Arrive early to enjoy a spectacular sunset over the fields. The drive to the drive in through the countryside is as captivating as any film. It's great there are two screens to pick from. The lot has plenty of room for cars. Using the radio audio to listen to the movie works easily. One note: Be prepared to wait for food (the burger barn is quicker); our kids missed the beginning of the movie. All in all a unique and fun evening out to watch a film outdoors!

I hadn't been to a drive-in in easily thirty years. I've passed Harvest Moon so many times and…read morethought I should check it out. My wife and I attended a Saturday showing. The staff was friendly. They offer a good selection of food. We ordered a pizza to eat during the hour we were there before the film started. As dusk approached we revisited the concession stand to stock up on your typical movie snacks. Overall it was a fun experience. But the following are things to consider when attending - these are not criticisms, just things to consider. 1. We arrived at 7pm and left at 11:45pm - this was for Fast X - a pretty normal length movie. 2. There are all the normal ads and previews prior to the movie starting. 3. There is an intermission -15 minutes 4. You need to start your car every once in a while to recharge you battery. You can rent a radio for a very reasonable price. If your car battery dies, they will give you a jump.

I thought because of the updated theater experience I'd be updating with a higher rating. Noooope…read more When we get to the front of the line, a register opens up. The girl at the register just stares at us. So we walk over. No hi, hey, or how you doing. Literally silence. It was pretty awkward. We ordered our tickets. Then she finally speaks after we get our tickets. "Enjoy the movie." Then as we're walking away I hear her say, ""Hi, how are you tonight?" to the next people. Ok. We decided to skip snacks and drinks. Went to our seats. The seats are good but not great. If you didn't know, you can order cooked food now. That's awesome but there's no where to sit your food. I'm guessing you put it in your lap. That's the other downside. I had to smell my neighbors onion rings. Bleh. Not my idea of setting the atmosphere. My last beef is the main reason I won't be going back. I decided I was thirsty. I get in line. The kid at the register looked up at me. I'd say I was third in line. The first person gets there items and leaves. He tells the next lady, he'll be right back. He comes back. Takes her order. Gets her stuff and leaves. He walks away. Doesn't say anything to me. I'm waiting and waiting. I finally look over and this guy is at another register taking someone's order! I was irritated. He knew I was there. I skipped buying a drink. I just wanted to watch my movie and leave. If you want to see how a movie experience like this is supposed go then travel to the CMX at the Mall of America. You can order food AND the seats come with trays to put your food on. The seating is comfortable and not cramped. This location was more concerned with how many recliner seats they can squeeze in. Oh..best part at CMX if you want a drink then you can easily get one. Shocking!
