We order off the lunch menu and I had the Lunch Burrito Verde with chopped beef. The burrito was ground beef, not chopped. It was covered in what I believe was cotija cheese sauce and it was definitely not verde. My compadre had the eggs rancho and they weren't on the mark either. Overall everything was consumed, but they won't be my go to Mexican restaurant.

This call was just unnecessarily complicated. Proper training should be implemented before they have the new hire answer their phones. Food: All that struggle to place an order just to get home and see that it was not as I had ordered it. To make things worse, my order looked like it was the remnants of their batch for that day. I got what seemed to be the bottom of the pot or what was left of it. This makes me so sad because I love this place. They even made my review photo their cover photo a while back. Which is what I had ordered a few days ago by the way and trust me, it did NOT look like that this time around. Instead of chunks of pork (which has always been like that) to merely a few morsels. Disheartening to say the least.

Taco shells were freshly made. Great ingredients. The salsa only added to it. 10 stars! Honestly, it's my favorite place in Western Oklahoma to get a taco. Their rice and beans are great too.

Since we were a large private party they set us up in the back and then had a buffet style serving area for us. The waitresses were all great and the unsweetened tea was very tasty. Food wise the peach cobbler was excellent but that's where it stopped. The actual food was not so great. It wasn't the worst but it was very bland and disappointing. I love Mexican but while I'm not a fan of Taco Bell or those types of restaurants I wouldn't place this much higher. Great people, nice building but needs to work on the recipes to give them life.

Management was not well conducted and delivery was done to the wrong place, and then they forgot food in the order. In addition, it is way over priced for the servings. It's in the golf course, and I guess the restaurant is in the club house. When you walk in, there is a pool table room. It's a pretty spacious room for a pool table, not cramped at all like so many other bars. The next room is the bar and restaurant seating. I like the booths along the wall; it adds privacy as you eat. Stormy was our server, and she was absolutely excellent. She was super attentive and eager to answer any questions we had about the menu. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer, and Stormy brought them to us quickly with homemade ranch dressing. They were nice and hot with just a bit of spice. The pickles were very good and as I'm writing this I'm craving more. For dinner, I ordered cheese fries and a side salad. The salad was good, typical iceberg lettuce, and great croutons. My cheese fries were just OK; I would've liked them more crispy, but the fries themselves looked hand cut with just a bit of skin on them. This restaurant doesn't have much for vegetarians, but Stormy was happy to help with the menu. I think next time I will try some other things on the menu; most of the sides are vegetarian. The bar looks like a full bar. They do offer bottled beverages too. I had a margarita-style bottled drink, and it was pretty good. My friend had a mixed drink, but I'm not sure what it was. I was happy to try this place. It serves very typical dive bar food, but there are also a few things on the menu that isn't typical. I can say the prices are rather high for the area. I'll probably be back sooner rather than later for more fried pickles!

Not antiquated by any means, but preserved, from the decor on the walls, to the relish bar full of tasty bits to add to your meal. The little pickle spears are my favorite and a must-have every time I'm there. When I eat at other barbecue restaurants, all get measured up to The Barbecue Shed, and not many meet or pass the bar. This isn't Texas barbecue, where you get cold, picnic style sides. This is Oklahoma barbecue, with plenty of delicious fried options like fries, Okra, and corn nuggets. They have a tasty peach cobbler for the desert lovers as well to compliment their hot sides. Their menu hasn't changed much over the course of time, but why fix what isn't broken? Their ribs are some of the best I've ever had, their brisket is flavorful and lean. I prefer a fattier cut of brisket, but most everyone I know loves leaner brisket, and theirs does not disappoint at all. They serve Kitty's chicken as well, and are always rotating new and interesting specials for their patrons to try out. I go for the ribs. Hands down. Every single time for the better part of the last 25 years. Partnered with Fried okra and their seasoned fries, it's a perfect match and the finest example of local barbecue fare. The Barbecue Shed is a time machine in a way. It harkens back lots of nostalgia for not only locals, but travelers who appreciate a classic eatery while also serving up great meals. I would highly recommend giving them a shot if you never have. It may not be for everyone, but dont let the Negative Nancy's dissuade you. It is my favorite restaurant in town, and there's a high chance you'll be impressed as well.
