We initially visited Metro Honda to check out a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) CR-V, but were immediately put off by a senior sales manager who was essentially selling snake oil. He claimed the car could be made "certifiable" for $5,000. It wasn't my first time buying a car, so I walked out right away. We stopped by Route 22 Honda without an appointment and were greeted by Juan David. We asked if they had any 2023 CPO CR-V EX-Ls available. He let us know they only had one on the lot and offered to show it to us. Unfortunately, we didn't like the color combination. He then checked their database and other lots for inventory that matched our preferences. Juan brought over a senior sales manager, Gio, who confirmed they didn't have the year and spec we were looking for anywhere in their system. He suggested considering a new CR-V instead. While we weren't planning to buy new, we appreciated the suggestion and were open to the conversation. What stood out was that neither Gio nor Juan pressured us or tried to push a sale. They were transparent about the out-the-door pricing and gave us a clear breakdown of the costs; no games or endless "let me check with my manager" delays. In the end, we purchased a brand-new 2026 CR-V from them. The price was fair, but more importantly, we were well taken care of. One thing I didn't like, though it's more about the dealership than Juan or Gio, is that they charge a fee for using a credit card. UNETHICAL & SHADY- Sat with the salesperson. Well, I should've known this "deal" was headed south as he started the conversation stating he's not trying to be a 'jerk'. He actually repeated this 3 more times within our 20 minute interaction. I soon found out in actuality, that is exactly what he was being. Or at least what management has instructed him to be. We inquired about leasing a 2022 Honda Civic Sport after we shared that we currently own a 2019 Civic EX (that we purchased after leasing), we'd once owned a 2017 Civic EX as well as a 2010. He had this knowledge and still quoted us a 36 month payment of $689!!??? On a CIVIC!!! Given the current marketplace we understood that pricing is up and inventory is down but this initial quote was at least laughable and at most highway robbery! Hector (salesman) then says, "I can probably throw in some car mats". This had to be the most insulting statement of all! It took minutes for him to realize he might have said the wrong thing because after we asked a few questions (residual cost? MSRP?, etc) he thought he'd go 'speak to his manager'. He then came back with a quote of $389. Not $550! Not $450! But all the way down to $389 from $689. If that doesn't illustrate some shady business practices by this establishment I don't know what does. *I have shared my experience with management and received no response. It also appears a lot of 'friends of the dealership' are flooding this page with positive reviews. Please do your homework and check out their reviews elsewhere. read more

I wanted to say thank you to Santiago and Benjamin I believe. Santiago called and let me know it was around time to either trade in my car or decide to buy it. My previous car got flooded with a hurricane and I went there and as soon as they had new inventory they got me into a brand new car. It was simple and didn't take forever. On the appointment day I was late but Santiago made time for me. When we sat down, I was willing to buy the car I had it but Santiago had me look around and I seen the HRV. I have always wanted on deep down inside, knowing it would make my life easier, but honestly I didn't think I could get it. I really just wanted something reasonable to get me from point a to point b.It was one of those things in life that would be nice if I could have it but I have other things to worry about first. Even though they are one hour away, I went there because of their good reviews on Yelp. Sadly, those reviews probably prove the saying that "Car dealers have to pay Yelp to get good reviews." After going to two other Honda dealers one day, I went to Rt 22 Honda on a Saturday at 7 pm. I told Sophie who greeted me the model I wanted (CR-V Hybrid Sport-L) and the offers I got from other dealers. I also told her the price at which I would buy it after a trade-in (44K out-of-the-door minus 10K trade-in=34K and 2.9% APR financing). She went to her manager and came back, saying, that the best she could do is 36K, which is pretty much the same offer as the other two dealers. I said that I cannot do 36K. If Sophie allowed me to leave, I would not be too unhappy. Sadly, she said "Wait--my manager wants to see you." Then came Carlo, another salesperson. He said that "Look---I can't do 34K---give me something to work with." After some back-and-forth, I said "Ok--34.5K". He went somewhere and came back and still offered me 36K and tried to persuade me by saying things like "Look---this is the best offer you got today", "You won't get a better one", "Your car is old---no one will give you more than 9K on it". I still did not budge. Then he said 'I will be back from my manager.' For the next 30 min, Carlos did what my 10th grade daughter learnt in a personal finance class as typical car-salesperson behavior, which is chatting and laughing with 3 other persons in a room. Carlo knew it was getting late and if he could kill some time, I would probably break down and take his offer. He even had my car key and some papers with him so that I could not leave. After half an hour doing nothing, he came back and haggled some more. Then I said "OK--I think we are done. I am leaving." He said "Let me talk to my manager." I said "I thought that is what you were doing in the last 30 min." He said "Let me try one last time." He came back and said "36K and 2.9% APR". I said "I have been saying for the last 1 hour that I want 34K" and left. When I was at the door, someone called me loudly "Hoi" from behind. I saw Carlo with 3 other guys. Carlo said "Here is my boss's boss---he wants to talk to you." I said "Hi big boss." Big boss said "What is going on here?" I explained. He and the other guys tried to explain what a great deal I was getting and how happy my wife would be when I take the new car home, without making a better offer. I left and reached home at 10 pm. Two days later, I sold my old car at the Lawrenceville branch of webuyanycar.com for $11500 and bought a CR-V Hybrid Sport-L from Princeton Honda without any haggling for $44000. So, effectively, I got it for 44-11.5=$32500 and at 2.9% APR, proving the Rt22 guys wrong on many counts (Rt 22 folks: If you are reading, please leave a message and I will send you copies of papers to prove that I am not making these numbers up). Maybe I did not get the right salesperson, maybe I am not of the right ethnicity to be treated well, but I will remember my terrible experience with them for a long time. Yesterday I brought my car for a recall and I was received with a nasty attitude from the beginning, the first employee I encountered told me he was by himself and I told him that wasn't an excuse for the attitude. He took his sweet time to register my car and take the keys. I left my car at 2:20 pm, my appointment was at 2 pm, I was never updated, no call no text, I texted at around 5:20pm to ask about my car, no reply. I called past 6 pm and I was told by the rep the service area was closed with complete disregard, I asked her to at least let me know if my car was fixed, I could tell she was annoyed by my questions. So this place kept my car overnight without my consent, without a call to at least ask me if I wanted to pick up my car and come back another day. My husband had to take an UBER the next day all the way from Hillside to Long Island. This morning I spoke to a manager by the name of Nestor and he apologized and asked me how much was my husband's UBER, he said another manager by the name of Yansie was going to call me and speak to me about the whole mess, and guess what? Is already past 3pm and no call from anybody. But no surprise here, because is what I expected after what happened. It must be horrible to work with employees that have no care for their customers and the same goes for their management. So if you want some aggravation and mistreatment in your life this is the place you need to come, and I wish you good luck. This place conducts unethical sales. After making a deal and running my credit the salesperson decided to break the deal and increase the price. He then had the guts to tell me I'm rude after I told him the increase is his problem to solve since he shook on the deal and ran my credit. Am I not right? At this point, I decided to walk away. On my way out, I stopped at the front desk requesting to speak with a manager. The unethical sales rep then approached my brother and me to pick a fight. His exact comment was, "Come talk shit to my face." It gets even better; the general manager Howard Numan doesn't even care about the situation. He called me back several days later not really wanting to dive into my side of the story or how he would improve his business. He kept taking his staff's words before mine. This is scary! They have my personal information which is worrisome. I'm now extremely worried about fraud. There is an overall unethical problem in this place which I strongly believe starts with the general manager - Howard Numan. He doesn't seem to really care about the customer. Don't trust this place. I'm done with Honda, and particularly this dealership and service department. My 4th time leasing with Honda but 2nd time leasing with this dealership. I'm not particularly fond of the service department and my sales rep there because they are great at bullshitting you and making you feel like what you're experiencing with your car isn't happening. Don't even get me started on how many times I had to confirm my email address when I first tried scheduling my appointment. For example, I told them yahoo.com, but apparently I had a gmail account, so I was never receiving email confirmations. When I told my rep my steering wheel issue wasn't noticeable while driving on the streets, but on the highway going 70mph, and just driving straight for a while, the steering wheel vibrates and is sensitive, so with slight adjustment to stay within the lines, the whole car moves and then it just seems like you're swerving. It's extremely annoying but I've come to terms with it and will deal with it until the lease ends. Mind you I was there at 715am, so I know they downplayed what they did because no way they're going to experience what I'm feeling during rush hour. I'm not even a Karen, but I can tell you I felt like being the first Spanish Linda to curse them out, but didn't. I just can't wait for my lease to end so that I can go elsewhere. Our Product Specialist was Ace Amin and he was super great! We went to other dealership but they are kind of rude and laugh at our offering price. Ace did not laugh at all and he took it seriously. I had no issues with the salesman Markell. My beef with this place is with the finance guy Ben Shihadeah. I explained to him that I wanted to put a hefty down payment for the Accord I was financing. I put $3000 on my credit card and wanted to put down another $18000 towards the down payment. However this was a Saturday and I didn't have the checkbook for the bank account with the funds in it. He said not to worry and to just pay the rest of the down payment when Honda sends the first bill as sort of a grace period. So I followed his instructions and now my 36 month financing (@ 1.9% APR) with $950 monthly payments has turned into 16 month financing with $950 payments. These monthly payments are way too high and I have had to liquidate some investments in order to meet it when I'd rather prolong paying off such a low interest loan. I raised this issue to Ben Shihadeah who was unhelpful. As soon as I said he misled me, he tightened up and took offense and offered no solutions or even any sort of discounted service to rectify his mistake. I escalated this issue to his manager Edward Garcia who said he would contact me later to see if there's anything he could do. It's been several weeks and still no word from him. I just left another voicemail for Ben and I'm awaiting to hear back. read more

Scheduled an appointment to see and drive a certified preowned car. I left all the info about the car I was interested in (VIN, stock number, and description) and this info was confirmed back to me. Between the day I made the appointment, to the day of the appointment, I received 4 emails, 3 calls, and 4 text messages making sure I was coming. When I get to the dealership, however, I was greeted with 'who are you?' And 'oh, the salesman you made the appointment with isn't here today.' Not the end of the world, but the experience degrades mightily from there... I was asked by the new salesman what car I was interested in, I showed him his own listing, and he said that he would 'go see if it's available.' In between the time he goes and does whatever he was doing, to the time he got back, I was witness to what I can only describe as the Mos Eisley cantina of vibes. As a customer was looking into an engine bay of a vehicle, a salesman, or someone dressed in shirt and tie walks in his direction while shouting to another shirt and tie above the sales floor to the second floor - the salesman says 'watch out!?' to the customer as he receives a thrown credit card from the shirt and tie above him asking the second floor. Rude and weird. Anyway, my salesman comes back and states 'ok we physically have the car here, but you can't drive it because it's being serviced for a recall (meanwhile the car was listed for sale for 35 days already).... Do you want to maybe look at a new vehicle?' At this point I'm done with the interaction. 2 sentences is all it took. I told him I was contacted 11 times about this car, and i should be able to expect, with that much communication, that my time is valued and that the car is available to be driven and sold. Furthermore, baiting and switching to try and get a new car sale is at the very least, disrespectful of my time and at worst, predatory. Go to route 23 Honda instead. read more

My son bought the car here in Feb 2021 thru Carlos CH salesman. Still waiting for his license plate on May 10th. He wanted PA plates as he lives there, so he gave him his PA address when he bought the car to register the car under his PA address. When the plates came a month back, the dealership had it registered at his PA street address with NJ as the State!!!! When my son went there to pick up his plate and found out about this error. So after asking them to fix it, now after more than a month, they called him today asking for his license again!!!! Really wish to know what is going on here. In the meantime, he is driving with expired registration. Please avoid this place if you are buying a used car... The day of the purchase was torturous. After having the car selected the day before, we had to sit there for 6 hours on the day of the purchase, finance team is managed very poorly. The undercar shield came out after 3 days.
