    DEAD CRAWFISH

I've emailed Donald Rouse with absolutely NO RESPONSE so I guess I'll just leave a review. This store is crap. The workers are decent but the groceries are crap. There is so limited selection it's ridiculous and what they do have is low quality. I've felt this way for a long time but tonight, well takes the cake! We bought (against better judgement) some live crawfish because it's all we could find and they are absolutely the worst crawfish I've ever had! So many dead, what was alive was not lively AT ALL! $120 down the drain for our anniversary meal. Claiborne's or Walmart will get our business from now on!!! Donald, you suck!

Nice smaller format Rouses store, just off I-10 in Diamondhead, MS. The wine & liquor department is much smaller than what you'll find in most of the NOLA area stores, but probably meets the needs of the local residents. Stopped in for a light lunch and a king cake. The store was clean and offered all I needed... a fresh sushi roll for the road and a cinnamon king cake for friends and family in Florida. The store was super clean and the staff, super friendly and helpful!

I wanted a special bday cake for my boyfriend and I got what i asked for! I showed the lady in the bakery department a pic of something similar and she made it even BETTER! Very please and happy with the results! I most definitely will come back to have my cakes down there. I will definitely recommend this place to thumbs up.

Great music for the Rouse sponsored concert for the annual Classic Car event on the Mississippi Gulf Coast !! Mississippi Gulf Coast ROCKS!

Rouse's Supermarket features the 'down home' southern food and other commodities that everyone needs to cook that perfect Cajun Bayou or just simply Southern Mississippi dinner for friends or other guest. At Rouses you'll find seafood from the 'Fertile Crescent' that defines the Mississippi - Louisana Gulf Coast area. Foods like alligator, shrimp, crawfish and seasoning made by local and national cooks. If you like it Cajun or Mississippi Southern. This is your one stop for all you need at the most competitive price you'll find.

This place is the best grocery store in the area. Clean, friendly service, excellent produce prices are reasonable. Not sure why it has bad reviews.

I go there specifically for speciality items, sale items and the liquor prices are pretty darn good. Great produce department.

Had to make a u-turn, and seeing them right across from the u-turn, decided to give it a try. In the parking lot of a small local hotel with LOTS of pickup trucks in the parking lot (usually a good sign), we went. Seated immediately in a surprisingly spacious well lit, comfortable interior. Lots of tables already filled. Drink orders were taken and brought quickly. Took us much more than a minute to make a decision, but we had a very patient server. I opted for a cup of the Crab & Corn Bisque with a crab finger appetizer for my meal. Husband went with catfish plate with hush puppies, onion rings & baked macaroni. The bisque was unlike any other I have ever tasted; it was complex, lacking potato chunks (this is a good thing) and simply delicious! I could not put my finger on the difference, but man, it's a must try! Crab fingers were plentiful, cooked just right with lots of meat. Husband's catfish had good flavor, hush puppies were fine and onion rings were onion rings. I have to admit - I would have eaten a whole tray of that baked macaroni if someone let me. Portion sizes are perfect, lots of menu choices, quick check out, attentive service and a price tag of $60 with tax for our 2 drinks and meal. Will definitely frequent when in the area.

Grit cake is tasty, shrimp are properly sized and seasoned deliciously. Surprisingly there was just a short wait. The menu was well laid out and had a verity of items. The dining area was old world which gave it a nice ambiance. I had the steak salad and the wife had fried Shrimp. She was very pleased to see the quaintly and the size of the shrimp. The salid was very filling and had an adequate amount of stake that was tender and delicious. The hush puppies were good but the wife didn't care for the coleslaw. I tried both and found that I didn't care for the slaw either. We both ordered 1/2 & 1/2 tea and were not disappointed. It tasted fresh. The meals were a little on the pricy side, but without a doubt we got what we paid for. We will definitely be back. If your in the area, give them a try.
