She said she needed to see if she had any beans...I'm at a coffee shop...in fact there are bags of beans on the shelves for sale. She said sorry we don't have any beans. I was a bit confused because it is a menu option and I'd never been told that before. We went back and forth a bit and I just decided to ask for an americano and call it a loss for getting a pour over. I bought two drinks and one bag of coffee (17.59?) which felt a touch high for in store and small town... total order was about $38, I hope there beans are good. Last thing the restroom was marked "we are out of toilet paper" hmm... But, he's a smart man and he knew there was a problem because I always buy a limited quantity and I NEVER offer donut holes. Brewing filtered water, to a very hot degree and then pouring the water over 'Westrock Coffee Co.' grounds brought out very, very delightful nutty, caramel-hued brew with almondy, grassy, banana-ish notes of coffee beans.. The next morning I asked around, and found out that the Westrock brand was a local one, familiar to many in North Little Rock! Some shops and grocers actually sold the brand from their shelves and I ended up buying some of it, to take home - and it was even better upon brewing it in my own kitchen.. Not only do they serve several of their unique blends, they also have information that coffee lovers and experts would love to see.
