Sunday, was my first time and I was pretty impressed with the shop, given the fact that it was in a small town and it didn't have many reviews at all. I ordered a Cortado and was really surprised by how well done it was made. It had the perfect consistency, texture, and flavor, with the perfect ratio of a well pulled shot of espresso and properly steamed milk. Whoever made that drink needs to train the whole staff, because based on my second visit, it is very clear to me that the owner is not doing their job properly in hiring/training baristas. The very next day I walked in very exited for my Cortado again! Being from Seattle, I find it very hard to find a properly made Cortado, and so I was excited for another good one here! But to my disappointment, this time, it was just beyond a let down. It was borderline disrespectful and just absurd. I walked the coffee back up and explained to the barista, this was 100% not a Cortado. It was more of a latte because it had lots of milk. It looked really bad. So then she nicely took it back and said she will remake it. Surely enough, it was very clear these workers had no idea how to make coffee. The lack of training and knowledge of coffee became very clear. I got my new "Cortado" and this time it looked more of an espresso shot with no milk. Unbelievable. I hope the owner reads this and does a better job of training its workers to understand their jobs. Just because 99% of the customers here probably order vanilla iced lattes, or other sweet drinks does not mean every worker should not know how to make EVERY coffee drink the proper way. It wasn't even close. Seems like by the merchandise, they care to take their coffee serious but the "baristas" don't know how to make drinks... Disappointing. You are a "specialty" coffee shop, not a Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks.

This was such a nice experience coffee shop with friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and local art throughout. I came in here for few hours to get work done. I ordered small drip coffee, S'Mores Bar and ice water. My total cost was reasonable, $7.47. Their drip coffee was bold, rich and flavorful. I had to get another cup. S'Mores bar was really good, rich with marshmallows and chocolate chunks. It was so good and rich, I could only eat half and took the rest home. They offer a unique large variety of drinks menu for you to try, as well as, pastries. STAFF: The staff were friendly and helpful. They greeted each guest and said, "Thank you for coming in," to those who stayed awhile and departed. They did an excellent job keeping the space clean. ATMOSPHERE: The space was really nice, cozy and enjoyable with unique furniture pieces. In the middle of the room they have a very unique, large wooden table with medal foundation that I personally fell in love with. It can sit up to ten people. It reminded me of a Restoration Hardware store. They have beautiful light brown leather lounge chairs and a beautiful large leather couch. They also offer four blue leather chairs. Against the windows you have additional seating to catch up on work, study or catch up with friends and family. You will find bar-like seating with beautiful modern light fixtures above it. When you walk in, to the left and right side of the entrance you can find variety of packaged specialty coffees and jars of honey, as well as, other merchandise. The merchandise shelves are made of real wood and stained, adding to the true nature of the coffee shop name. WiFi worked good and the music was good too. On the wall where you place your order they have a large mural of a coffee maker, painted by a local artist. This artist also has a wall of art towards the back of the coffee shop that is for sale. The interior space from the outside of the building may look like a small coffee shop, but it's more spacious than what the outside shows. EXTERIOR: They do have a Drive-Thru. The parking lot I'd have to say is somewhat limited in the front. You do have a small parking lot in the back of the building. OVERALL: I really enjoyed my stay here and when I travel back in town, I'd love to stop by here again. If you prefer supporting local businesses, this would be a great place. There is a new Starbucks nearby, but I chose this place and I'm glad I did. It's nice to come to a local coffee shop where baristas don't sound like robots or becoming part of the corporate human algorithm. Coming here, feels like how you should feel, "People First.
