Abir is too aggressive . I scheduled an appointment just for a bridal hair trail, and Abir said I needed to get my make up done with her. She insulted me saying my eye shape wouldn't work with what I wanted. She really talked herself up. It was poor blending and just thick and waxy makeup. Her sister who is the hairdresser is amazing. Unfortunately due to Abir's aggressive I do not recommend this business. read more

I went here about two weeks ago to get my hair done. I'm from NYC and I noticed this salon as I'm sifting through salons in MI. Even though their hair stylist comes in at 11am, knowing the fact I needed my hair done for my cousins wedding asap, they were willing to see me earlier! Amazing service right there before I even came by When I got there, they took care of me immediately. I had the honor of having Henna do my hair. She was confident and knew what she wanted to do with my hair. I did provide her with an idea of what kind of updo I wanted. However, she glanced and said MEH I know something better than that. And did she def know what to do! The updo framed my face well and was more than what I expected. I'm very nit picky with my hair and makeup. With this salon, I was in awe! I wish they were here in New York. All I kept revisiting was compliments on my updo. If you decide to come here, you're definitely in good and friendly hands! I went in the day before the wedding for a hair color. I told her I wanted change I had ash blonde so she died it brown, when she was done there was grey at the bottom she was surprised but I told her it was ok, after paying $80 my hair color went back to an orange ash blonde after a week .. Than the next day I went in for full makeup and curls. The makeup was nice in the lighting of the Room but it got cakey and I looked like a drag queen too much. And the curls went down after 10 min I didn't even make it to the party and they were gone .. never again.. and btw the girl that does the hair had an attitude. I made an appointment a few months ago and drove from Cleveland to get beautified at this salon. I have very, very long hair but I am low-maintenance so I just wanted long layers but it requires a specific skill set due to my hair texture. I told Hanan what I wanted and she cut my hair dry so she can see exactly what she's doing. I did not get a blow dry so I couldn't see what my haircut looked like exactly right then and there but overall, good. A couple weeks later, I blew it out myself and it was GORGEOUS! A few months later and my haircut still looks great. The facial by Abir was incredible, my skin was glowing for a week after. She does not skip over any steps and is exactly what a facial should be. She also does fantastic makeup, I saw a girl leaving after and she looked like a Barbie doll! Both girls are very sweet and great at what they do. Prices are extremely fair. First timer here ! Price was fair, Service was great ! I usually stick to just one place but my regular hairstylist is closed Sunday. I am glad I could go somewhere where I didn't need to get the flat iron to my hair and just get a blow out. Hair products were ok - not cheap brands and smelled good. I could see the esthetician was busy with clients and did a great job at eyebrows. I got her card. I will definitely revisit this business soon. read more

I've been here before and they did a nice job but it's so inconsistent and the last 2 visits made me write this review. I wonder if it's just all the salons but they can only seem to do very heavy, excessively dramatic looks. Even if you ask for something more toned down. And they don't communicate with you and are sooooo slow even though I was the only customer there. I asked specifically for a haircut, blow out, and make up. I repeated this multiple times. She did my make up first and then said oh we can't cut your hair bc your make up is done, it'll mess it up. I asked why they didn't tell me this before and she didn't have a reply. It took almost 2 hrs to do the make up (not a wedding look or anything). I repeatedly said I was in a big rush and needed to leave ASAP. It took an hour for the blow out too and they made me late. They literally took their sweet old time. If I reminded them I was in a hurry they'd pick up the pace for a few min the go back to the slow pace. Next time I made an appointment was bc it was last minute and it was the only place available. This time I asked for the cut first, which they did. Then I asked for a simple, clean look. Nothing dramatic, no smoky eye or extra lashes. Just a natural look. She seemed so confused and proceeded to paint my face w layers of foundation that wasn't even my shade. During the whole time I asked for a mirror and said this seems like too much. She assured me it wasn't and kept going. Finally I get to see and it was like the make up scene in mulan. I told her the foundation is a few shades lighter than my actual skin tone and she couldn't see it. I said if you can't understand that these aren't the same shade I don't know what to tell you. I was so upset; it looked horrible. She didn't care at all and got offended. She didn't offer to fix it. I had even showed multiple pictures of what I wanted. And she charged me $80. I tried to fix it myself at home but i was already so late. When I got to the party I was asked why my make up was horrible. Never going back again. read more

I am a regular client of Rouge and I love it. I go once a month for Brazilian waxes and get facials there whenever I feel my skin needs one or I just need to relax. Abir is my skin care specialist and I don't trust anyone else with my skin. Abir is very accommodating. She opens early or stays late to ensure I am able to make my appointments and is helpful when I need to reschedule. She is a complete gem! She is always punctual and time efficient. The spa room is cleanly kept and has a fresh fragrance of mint. During my service, Abir works quickly but gently when doing Brazilian waxes. She uses a gentle wax, which I like because I have very sensitive skin. Her facials are very relaxing except for the part where she does extractions. That part is a bit uncomfortable. But it's worth it because she makes sure that my skin is clear before letting me leave. Overall I love this place. The only thing I don't like is parking on the street on Schafer because it is a busy street, but there is also a parking lot a block away. read more

I went in for a Brazilian and a shellac manicure, both with Abir. The salon is in kind of an odd location, but the inside was nice and quiet when I arrived. I had had a Brazilian a couple of times before but always ended up pretty disappointed with the results - bumps, lots of missed or broken hairs, etc. So I was just getting bikini waxes. But I was very pleased with the results I got from Abir! She worked quickly but was still very thorough and, best of all, made me feel very relaxed. There's nothing pleasant about getting a Brazilian but she was really laid back and it didn't feel the least bit awkward. She admitted she's a perfectionist so she did a bit of tweezing after the waxing (which I didn't mind) and also gave me a sample of an aftercare cream that I really liked. I had zero issues with infected follicles for the first time. I'll be coming back every month now. :) The color selection for shellac/gel polish was pretty limited but I still found a color that I liked. The manicure seemed to take longer than it needed to because she kept filing and shaping and filing and shaping. I'm not super picky about my nails, so this wasn't really necessary, but I guess that's not a bad thing. It was a pretty standard shellac manicure, lasted about two weeks, and I would have no problem going here again. But I just prefer salons with a better color selection so I'll probably go elsewhere for my nails. read more

When i was looking for a place to get a Brazilian wax from for my first time this place came up with a lot of good reviews. OMG Abby is the best! She makes you feel really comfortable and i did not feel awkward at all like i thought i would. She is such a sweet and funny person she just makes the whole waxing process not as horrible. I would give this salon a 2.5 as an average between the customer service and the actual work that was performed. 5 stars for the customer service, 0 stars for the polish that was put on my toes. I will never go back to this salon to get my feet polished. Abir (I think was the lady name that polished my feet) was suppose to give me French tips but instead I got thick, white, messy strips...my 7 month old daughter could have done a better job. The customer service was great! She was extremely friendly and conversational but all the conversation and friendliness in the would couldn't make up for the mess she put on my toes. read more

This was the best Brazilian I've had to far! I travel for my job and from Yelping waxing/spas from Chicago to San Francisco to Cleveland, this is the best and cleanest wax! Went for my first Brazilian. Based on the previous reviews, I knew I couldn't go wrong...and I was right! Abir was amazing! She's so gentle and such a great conversationalist that the whole procedure was almost painless. She's truly a perfectionist and will spend the extra time to ensure every last hair is removed. Plus she is an extremely knowledgeable aesthetician (and has medical training as well) so she makes sure she advises you on care pre- and post- waxing and uses products on you that are natural and preventive. I just moved from DC to Detroit and have had a lot of trouble finding a quality salon with people I can trust. So the price, location, and customer service can't be beat!
