The hubs and I ordered the cheese sticks and then split a pizza. It was so delicious! The cheese sticks were in a very thin type of crust. There was plenty of cheese and the dipping sauce was great. The kids order chicken tenders and spaghetti with A meatball. ($5.99 each) The pizza was awesome. Soft but fully cooked pizza dough and crust. Plenty of toppings and hot. Delicious. The spaghetti was noodles and one medium meatball. Absolutely nothing fancy and want enough for my kid. I would have rather gotten him the 3 meatball appetizer for $6.99. The chicken tenders (2) were clearly from frozen bag... and warmed up in microwave. My kid wouldn't eat them. They were dry and cheap and flavorless. I get that it is a kids menu but still expected more. The cups were all plastic "to go" cups so you couLd take it with you. ... or they threw them away afterward. That seemed like a lot of plastic waste to me. Food was great. Avoid the kids menu. read more

Service was absolutely awful, asked for vanilla and caramel, and I get a burnt pizza with a sprinkle of vanilla and no ice cream Not to mention, they refunded only five dollars Don't ever order from them DoorDash Uber eats This got a five dollar refund and it was missing ice cream and was wrong and burnt read more

Rotolo's Pizzeria - Pizza Near Me - River Ridge, Louisiana

We ordered here last night because I'd heard that the Detroit style pizza was good. Both pizzas were absolutely delicious and that is why I'm still giving three stars, but at $20+ per pizza the size completely surprised me. We've ordered Detroit style elsewhere and while they can be smaller, this feels a bit extreme. So taking stars away for cost and sizing. We had to stop elsewhere for additional food because two pizzas were not enough for my family at this size. read more

They messed up the order. They only wanted to give not even partial refund. I think the owners need to reevaluate how the business is being ran. Definitely not customer driven. read more

This is one of the best small chain restaurants in America. Food is consistently good from every location we have tried. Service at the bar is always the best. Fun to interact with the staff and learn what the like or dislike about the establishment. read more

All around terrible. Paid $50 for two Detroit Style pizzas just for them to not add all the toppings on both pizzas. Took an hour to receive replacement pizzas just for it to be thrown together. For the amount of trouble the pizzas were not good at all. read more

The Detroit style pizza is delicious and they are the only place I know of in the area that offers this style of pizza! I highly recommend getting the ricotta dip and the bacon mac & cheese pie as well. I also like their thin crust pizzas, but this time we just got the Detroit style and it was fabulous! read more

Passed by at 9pm on a Friday when they close at 10pm on for take-out. Was told the kitchen was closed and was offered pizzas that someone didn't pick up. It's been a downward slide over the past few years with their service. read more

Just not a good pizza at all. The crust was tough and double pepperoni was a joke and there was too little sauce and cheese

Last time I went in shop (~3 months ago) it reeked of urine.... the entire restaurant. Took so long for our entrees that we canceled them and just left after apps. Tried to order today - to go so to avoid the bathroom stench. No answer on the phone (5 tries) and the website/app doesn't work. Rotolos is phenomenal, skip this location. Pizza night elsewhere I suppose. read more

Went for Pi day special and the pizza was very good. The place was busy but I called in my order and my pick up was very fast and smooth. It was my first call in order so they asked that I pay for my order over the phone read more

This location is the literal best! I brought my girlfriend there for the first time ever and the waitress was the best and she was really friendly and also great customer service! The food was probably the best I have ever had! I will be returning to this place! Such a great time! read more

This particular location/representative of Rotolo's pizza will not last long. The owner. SMH. Can't figure out if he wants to be a bar or a restaurant. Sucks at both. Employees & management turnover like hotcakes & waffles. Often do not speak English in front of the customers. There is a new crew like every month, and the lack of consistency in quality of meal prep is evident. None of the employees have anything good to say about the owner- Always complaining about each other... It's kind of a drag. Food is ok, but definitely not worth the price. I wanted to support local over corporate, but can't make myself pay these prices for the poor quality and waitstaff. Was made to feel unwelcome. Will find another local business to support. If you need to go for local pizza over corporate... for whatever reason... I recommend buy your own ingredients and cook at home before stopping in here. But if you need to- take advantage of 3-6 PM happy hour: 50% off apps and drinks- and leave at 6 immediately. read more

Phone is always off the hook, this place is unreachable. Quality of pizza is downhill, out of control.

The way the Pizza used to be long ago is back! The new owner cleaned up the place and works hard to keep good quality coming out the kitchen. Hope it continues because might become the perfect place for neighborhood pizza. PS the meatballs with sauce is delish!! read more

todays lunch was a definite 8/10! for starters we ordered the hummus. the flatbread was AMAZING with feta cheese on top and it was amazing! the actual hummus itself seemed like it was store bought but it was good regardless. then we got a pepperoni pizza that was absolutely amazing. i'm not big on red sauce but rotolo's knows what they're doing and there's is absolutely amazing. their crust is also DELICIOUS-- it's so hard to put their pizza down. new orleans residents would also appreciate the fact that they have tony chachere's out on the table ;) read more

If you are out in the wilderness of River Ridge, Rotolo's will be a bright spot with much satisfaction for your eating and drinking needs. The pizza is exactly what you would expect, but where this outlet excels is in their drink program and the dedication of their staff. The owner is hands-on and can even be found in the kitchen, slicing up fresh green peppers on a diabolical-looking slicing machine. He risks flesh and blood to satisfy your cravings for fresh and delicious pizza topping. But he goes even further with his drink program. Rotolo's River Ridge has brought in Euphrosine Gin #9 and Calio Rum, award-winning spirits made right in New Orleans by local distillery Atelier Vie. These spirits are incredible and they make an outstanding accompaniment to everything on the menu. Can't wait to see what new creative drink ideas they come up with next! read more

Their cheese pizza is pretty good. It's fine. However, my calzone only had spinach in about one side of it. I was disappointed with this particular experience, but again, their cheese pizza is pretty good. read more

Ordered at 6:15 pm over door dash for pick up. Ready time given was 6:55. Got there at 7:05 for pick up. They Couldn't find my order so I had to call my wife to text me the confirmation. Showed them the confirmation. They gave me a story about the Door Dash system updating so they didn't get the order. Then said they couldn't make my food because they had closed at 7:00. Apologies but no offer to make it right. Luckily? Dominoes was still open. Pretty disappointing. *Update* Rating updated based on the establishment reaching out afterward with an offer to make it right. Thanks. read more

I wish I would think about coming here more often. It is in the neighborhood (sort of), and never really super crowded. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen it very busy. They have a nice bar area, and you can either sit at the bar or at a high top table. There is ample parking as it shares a lot with a strip mall; although it is a standalone building. There is also outdoor seating, but they really need new outdoor furniture, as it is pretty worn and weathered. They have a decent amount of booth seating (both normal size and larger booths) and regular tables. As far as the food, it is good. I especially like their meatball wrap. It isn't your normal flour tortilla wrap. It's a flaky, crispy lavash wrap. They slice up plenty of meatballs and add mozzarella cheese and a delicious marinara sauce, then bake it. It's a great size. Possibly even enough to split depending on your appetite. You can't beat it for $9! It comes with a side of Zapp's chips. The rest of the menu is better than your typical pizzeria fare, in my opinion. They also have a nice seasonal selection of items, along with plenty of appetizers, wings, sandwiches and salads and much more. They even have cauliflower pizza crust and a "crustless" pizza as options. The food prices are very reasonable, but I feel their beer is a bit overpriced. $4 for a Bud Light bottle is a bit much. Service has been consistently great for me. They also have happy hour specials, so check their website! Overall, a great choice if you're in the River Ridge/Harahan area and are looking for a low key, reasonably priced place to enjoy a good, relaxing, casual meal. read more

Give Calzone Wednesday a try! You can eat dinner for under $10 with tax and still bring food home. The calzones were stuffed with ingredients and tasted great. I decided to top off dinner with a scoop of chocolate gelato and did not regret it! I'm not big on sweets but it was AMAZING! Super rich chocolate flavor that will have you wishing you gotten more. Went to Rotolos at this location on Monday, March 14 at 5:45 pm for their advertised national pie day individual pizza for $3.14. Place was closed up and not open! Ridiculousness. Really....not open on pie day after all the emails sent out! read more

This place is horrible. Had the worst service by everyone in the place. Not one person was nice or helpful. They have messed up my order 3 times, and have forgotten ranch or extras as well. All of the "hostesses" have to go. They're all rude, arrogant, and have no common sense or awareness of customers. This place also charges outrageous prices for mediocre pizza !! Their online ordering system is a joke and needs to be revamped. Do not come to this location. If you want good pizza, you might as we go to 'That's Amore', 'Reginelli's' or a chain pizza place. read more

Rotolo's is our go-to neighborhood pizza joint and we love it! Our little family of three have had many a good pizza, calzone and refreshing cup of gelato here since moving to River Ridge in 2015. Good food, fast service and a nice casual atmosphere. Kudos for having coloring books and crayons available for the kiddos! And the gelato is great as an after-dinner treat. One suggestion from a parent who desperately tries to help my 3-year-old eat balanced meals. Offering kid-friendly sides of fruit or veggies along with the kids pizza would be an awesome thing. Overall, highly recommended for pizza that is just plain good. read more

I heart Rotolo's! So we have definitely become regulars here... #1 - Because there is soooo little to choose from in River Ridge #2 - because they are awesome Every time my family of three walks in we are greeted with smiles! We are escorted to the table of our choice. We are seated and once our drink order is placed....they return with plastic cups sporting themes of upcoming holidays or the Saints! :) To top that off...you can ask for a lid and take it home! Ha! Maybe that makes me ghetto...but I love free cups. They just make me happy! Anyways...enough with the swag. The food. Ok, I have to say I have been intimidated by hummus before. The word is just like ewww...no. But Rotolo's Roasted Red Pepper Hummus is amazing! Fresh toasted bread slices and hummus with slivers of roasted red peppers on a bed of fresh lettuce. Yeowza! Pizza---duh, good. Pasta---Winning! Calzones---must try! Gelato!! Fun!! Nothing has been bad. This is a weekly joint for us. It's clean, "hip" family friendly AND has a bar for you boozers out there! :) So quit reading this and get your tail to Rotolo's! read more

This review is only getting two stars because I had an excellent server by the name of Maddy. Super friendly and very accommodating. On the other hand, while sitting at the bar, I believe the manager named Mia was in the kitchen goofing around with the kitchen staff and "whipping" them with towels right in front of her customers... very disturbing and unprofessional. Needless to say, we will not be returning. read more
