Both pizzas were absolutely delicious and that is why I'm still giving three stars, but at $20+ per pizza the size completely surprised me. We've ordered Detroit style elsewhere and while they can be smaller, this feels a bit extreme. So taking stars away for cost and sizing. The Detroit style pizza is delicious and they are the only place I know of in the area that offers this style of pizza! Last time I went in shop (~3 months ago) it reeked of urine.... the entire restaurant. Took so long for our entrees that we canceled them and just left after apps. Tried to order today - to go so to avoid the bathroom stench. No answer on the phone (5 tries) and the website/app doesn't work. Rotolos is phenomenal, skip this location. This particular location/representative of Rotolo's pizza will not last long. The owner. SMH. Can't figure out if he wants to be a bar or a restaurant. Sucks at both. Employees & management turnover like hotcakes & waffles. Often do not speak English in front of the customers. There is a new crew like every month, and the lack of consistency in quality of meal prep is evident. None of the employees have anything good to say about the owner- Always complaining about each other... It's kind of a drag. Food is ok, but definitely not worth the price. I wanted to support local over corporate, but can't make myself pay these prices for the poor quality and waitstaff. Was made to feel unwelcome. Will find another local business to support. If you need to go for local pizza over corporate... for whatever reason... I recommend buy your own ingredients and cook at home before stopping in here. todays lunch was a definite 8/10! for starters we ordered the hummus. the flatbread was AMAZING with feta cheese on top and it was amazing! the actual hummus itself seemed like it was store bought but it was good regardless. then we got a pepperoni pizza that was absolutely amazing. i'm not big on red sauce but rotolo's knows what they're doing and there's is absolutely amazing. their crust is also DELICIOUS-- it's so hard to put their pizza down. new orleans residents would also appreciate the fact that they have tony chachere's out on the table ;) read more

The hubs and I ordered the cheese sticks and then split a pizza. It was so delicious! The cheese sticks were in a very thin type of crust. There was plenty of cheese and the dipping sauce was great. The kids order chicken tenders and spaghetti with A meatball. ($5.99 each) The pizza was awesome. Soft but fully cooked pizza dough and crust. Plenty of toppings and hot. Delicious. The spaghetti was noodles and one medium meatball. Absolutely nothing fancy and want enough for my kid. I would have rather gotten him the 3 meatball appetizer for $6.99. The chicken tenders (2) were clearly from frozen bag... and warmed up in microwave. My kid wouldn't eat them. They were dry and cheap and flavorless. I get that it is a kids menu but still expected more. The cups were all plastic "to go" cups so you couLd take it with you. ... or they threw them away afterward. I wish I would think about coming here more often. It is in the neighborhood (sort of), and never really super crowded. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen it very busy. They have a nice bar area, and you can either sit at the bar or at a high top table. There is ample parking as it shares a lot with a strip mall; although it is a standalone building. There is also outdoor seating, but they really need new outdoor furniture, as it is pretty worn and weathered. They have a decent amount of booth seating (both normal size and larger booths) and regular tables. As far as the food, it is good. I especially like their meatball wrap. It isn't your normal flour tortilla wrap. It's a flaky, crispy lavash wrap. They slice up plenty of meatballs and add mozzarella cheese and a delicious marinara sauce, then bake it. It's a great size. Possibly even enough to split depending on your appetite. You can't beat it for $9! It comes with a side of Zapp's chips. The rest of the menu is better than your typical pizzeria fare, in my opinion. They also have a nice seasonal selection of items, along with plenty of appetizers, wings, sandwiches and salads and much more. They even have cauliflower pizza crust and a "crustless" pizza as options. The food prices are very reasonable, but I feel their beer is a bit overpriced. $4 for a Bud Light bottle is a bit much. Service has been consistently great for me. They also have happy hour specials, so check their website! Overall, a great choice if you're in the River Ridge/Harahan area and are looking for a low key, reasonably priced place to enjoy a good, relaxing, casual meal. read more

Give Calzone Wednesday a try! You can eat dinner for under $10 with tax and still bring food home. The calzones were stuffed with ingredients and tasted great. I decided to top off dinner with a scoop of chocolate gelato and did not regret it! I'm not big on sweets but it was AMAZING! Super rich chocolate flavor that will have you wishing you gotten more. Went to Rotolos at this location on Monday, March 14 at 5:45 pm for their advertised national pie day individual pizza for $3.14. Place was closed up and not open! Ridiculousness. Would not recommend this place to anyone....especially after changing managers and getting rid of their regular staff after many years of service. This place is horrible. Had the worst service by everyone in the place. Not one person was nice or helpful. They have messed up my order 3 times, and have forgotten ranch or extras as well. All of the "hostesses" have to go. They're all rude, arrogant, and have no common sense or awareness of customers. This place also charges outrageous prices for mediocre pizza !! Rotolo's is our go-to neighborhood pizza joint and we love it! Our little family of three have had many a good pizza, calzone and refreshing cup of gelato here since moving to River Ridge in 2015. Good food, fast service and a nice casual atmosphere. Kudos for having coloring books and crayons available for the kiddos! And the gelato is great as an after-dinner treat. One suggestion from a parent who desperately tries to help my 3-year-old eat balanced meals. Offering kid-friendly sides of fruit or veggies along with the kids pizza would be an awesome thing. I heart Rotolo's! So we have definitely become regulars here... #1 - Because there is soooo little to choose from in River Ridge #2 - because they are awesome Every time my family of three walks in we are greeted with smiles! We are escorted to the table of our choice. We are seated and once our drink order is placed....they return with plastic cups sporting themes of upcoming holidays or the Saints! :) To top that off...you can ask for a lid and take it home! Ha! Maybe that makes me ghetto...but I love free cups. They just make me happy! Anyways...enough with the swag. The food. Ok, I have to say I have been intimidated by hummus before. The word is just like ewww...no. But Rotolo's Roasted Red Pepper Hummus is amazing! Fresh toasted bread slices and hummus with slivers of roasted red peppers on a bed of fresh lettuce. Yeowza! Staying at the KOA down the street and tried this place just off a quick yelp search. We were thrilled with it! My niece is on this trip with us, who "doesn't like pizza" and she loved it! The crust was amazing, the Garlic balls worth a try, and the cheese stick were my personal favorite. read more
