I am a yoing 67 yr old female, a retired RN & I have medical issues which include Parkinson's Disease & its progression; my concerns about remaining independent & realizing from my personal experience the many what-ifs that were becoming a real possibility that my future might hold and where can I find answers & assistance to help me plan for my future and what were my options. I saw my mother in her elder years go through her entire life savings paying medical costs & nursing home fees out of pocket in less than 12 months before going on Medicaid. I had some real big concerns about my hard earned savings and I did not know how I could avoid having financially, what happened to my mother, happen to me. His very calm professional manner, and his confidence as he answered my questions one by one and offered advice & education to me which turned out to be 100% accurate & helpful. He did an excellence job of teaching the classes I attended. I enjoyed his seminars very much. The Rothkoff Staff is wonderful. No matter who answered the phone when I called I was satisfied with the encounter. I have spoken with Rachael, Jacinda, Kathleen McGhee, and several others who I just don't remember names.I have worked with Janie Deleon-Male, a very capable experienced Social Worker. For awhile she was on my speed dial and very helpful. She has made house calls to my home to assist with setting up home services which were helpful. Janie is personable & very detailed oriented and she follows up with me on everything. She is just a phone call away and has helped me on many occasional. Knowing the Rothkoff Group is available to me for assistance when I need help, allows me to relax and rely on them . I would most definitely recommend them to anyone in need of Eldercare .Medicare. I wanted to take a moment to express my since gratitude for the Rothkoff Group and their assistance with helping me move my Dad into a nursing home and move him to Medicaid. It was an overwhelming situation and the staff made a very complex and emotional process seamless and efficient, with offering non wavering compassion. Best phone call I ever made. While speaking with Mr. Rothkoff for the first time, he asked "why are looking for legal help with managing your mother's estate?" As Power of Attorney for my mother, I was terrified I would make a mistake that would be to her financial detriment. I lived in one state, she was currently in another and was re-locating to a third. Jerry just helped my mother complete the very difficult process of applying for and getting Medicaid. My mother was living at home until recently but had a medical incident and went to hospital. After recovering, she wasn't able to return home but needed long-term care. But without Medicaid, which was in process (but bureaucracies have their own timetable), she had few options. Fortunately, Jerry has set up a bridge process with a couple of local care facilities that enabled Mom to get excellent care while waiting for her application to be accepted. That process was finalized a couple of weeks ago but she was already settled and does not have to go through an additional transition.
