As a Canadian living in Canada there is always the issue of shipping across the border when purchasing from US based companies. Chad made the purchase easy - great communication (responsive, concise and clear). Effy managed the shipping with professionalism - effectively dealing with the broker/carrier and the paperwork necessary for the package to clear Canadian customs upon arrival at the border. My watch took 48 hours to travel from LA to my home in British Columbia, arriving well packed and upon opening found to be exactly as described on the Rostovsky website. First off this is a very tiny boutique store on Sunset Strip located just off Sunset & Fairfax next door to The Griddle Cafe. Parking is in the rear so don't bother paying for parking on the street (save your quarters) and use the back entrance. However if you come through the front there's a small area for you to sit. So I enter the building and explain in detail to the gentleman my needs. He explained the process of building a mold of & measuring my foot. I then picked a heal, shoe tip shape and how far the boot went up my leg. I chose more of an ankle cut boot so it wouldn't bunch up my pants. We reviewed many snake skins and settled on rattlesnake for my boots. Now the cobbler comes out and measures my feet and draws a map of both for design. A few weeks later I come back in for a review and then a few weeks later my boots were done. Now the price for all this was $1500 but I have a pair of boots no one else owns. Side note this is the shoemaker of the Hollywood elite. Had no clue when I decided to come in but the make stage boots for KISS ( The Band ) , Lemmy of Motörhead, all of Princes stage boots. If your in the back take a look at the wall of foot molds and it's a who's who of celebrity's feet. I'm beyond satisfied with my boots and will get more made up. Maybe snakeskin shoes next hehehe.

In less than 10 days, I was presented with the exact ring I envisioned when I walked into the district that day. My fiancee accepted my proposal and told me that this ring was the nicest she had ever seen. I never told her the price, but I think she thinks it costs more than I paid because the prices here were incredible. I hope to come back in a couple of years and purchase another ring or piece of jewelry from Millennium Jewelry. The ring was delivered in time, the diamond matched the one he'd located for me the day of the gem show, the setting was beautiful and Kenny was very attentive; taking my feedback into consideration while negotiating the particulars of the setting. The only knock I can give Kenny was that he forgot to charge me a setting fee at the time of purchase, so he asked that I pay half of the fee at the time of delivery. It was his mistake, and while I didn't actually need to pay him the extra money to fulfill our contract, I sent him a check anyway. In the end, I still got the exact ring I wanted at a price that was well below what I'd have paid elsewhere for a comparable diamond & setting.
