You can't go wrong with ambiance of a beautiful waterside restaurant at Circular Quay in Sydney. It was the picture of pancakes that really drew us in. My friend ordered the strawberry pancakes and I had the Italian salad. We opted to sit outside since it was such a nice day, but they do have indoor seating. My salad was great-- very fresh greens, cucumber, olives and tomatoes with a perfect vinaigrette. My friend was somewhat disappointed with her pancakes. The portion was tiny compared to the picture that had piqued her interest. The flavor was just your average pancake with a few strawberries and maple syrup. Something easily made at home. Oh well, the ambience was lovely right there on Circular Quay. read more

We went 2 days in a row, it was so damn good. Spinach raviolis, garlic prawns and a supreme pizza. All were delightful!

Disappointed with the food and service. We were looking forward to a coffee and dessert with so many wonderful cafes in the city. A friend wanted affogato so Rossini seemed like the perfect spot to enjoy the weather and sights along with a nice dessert. The passion fruit cheesecake was more like a tasteless fruit gelatin with slivers of cake. If only it tasted even half as good as it looked we would have been satisfied. The tiramisu and latte were okay. The affogato was small and overpriced. And beware, the first one came with a spoon with dried food on it, which was only discovered after the first bite. The servers were going through the motions and gave the impression that we were inconveniencing them. Can't say it was worth $50 for an afternoon snack or that we will be returning. read more

My mother and I were recommended this place by the lady at the change currency spot around the corner. Fabulous recommendation! We had scrambled eggs and toast (homemade sourdough) with grilled tomato. It was fantastic! Eggs were cooked perfectly and the toast was thick and delicious. Had lunch here a couple of times and enjoyed it. Service was great; attentive and patient. Patient in the sense that we were rushed and were allowed to take our time to sit have drinks and then eventually get around to ordering meals. Premium location right along Sydney Harbour and if you grab a seat outside you can enjoy a nice view of whatever massive cruise ship is in port at the moment, or just people watch some of the wonderful cast of characters go about doing their thing around the wharf. There are a variety of places to choose from around the Harbour ranging from walkup takeaway to a little on the more finer side. This is pretty much right in the middle. Pretty decent variety on the menu for both food and drinks. Would recommend trying one of their pizzas for lunch next time your around the area and want to sit back and relax a bit for a good quick meal. read more

Tip - ask to be seated on first floor - great view of bridge and opera house We ordered the lasagne and the carbonara The lasagne had peas in it (not really to our taste) but portion size was large - you could have shared. It also came with a small salad - lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pepper with a dressing on it The carbonara was shocking, swimming in butter which looked like olive oil and the sauce was congealed to the spaghetti (see the pic), a terrible dish and one I admittedly gave up on after only a few mouthfuls. Service wasn't great, probably because we requested the first floor mind - only 2 tables were occupied but as such it took ages to get drinks refilled and alert the server to the issues with the carbonara. I didn't chance a replacement. The server was asked for the bill and seemed to forget so we left the table and went to pay at the till on exit. The pizza here was fantastic! I got the combo, minus olives - which is a waste considering mine came with them and I had to just pick them off. I also said no mushrooms and got those too. Not to worry; they didn't affect the taste of my pie and my brother got to pile my discarded toppings onto his pizza. My brother got a sausage and shrimp, which was even better than mine...and that was saying a lot. Of course, he also had my mushrooms and olives, so his went from a gourmet pizza to a combo as well. My friend ordered a vegetarian pizza. Who does that?? Besides maybe a vegetarian... She offered me a bite, but I don't waste valuable calories on vegetables. Not that it wasn't good. She enjoyed it immensely. I was in love with the location, location, location and had a great time people watching and taking in the view of all the ferry's and ships coming in - from our outdoor table. Enjoyed a nice breakfast here looking over the Sydney Harbour. The view is spectacular. Brother ordered Eggs and Bacon, mom ordered a cafe latte, and I ordered a panzerotto (donut filled with sweet ricotta cheese). The eggs and bacon were solid. Sunny side up eggs were cooked very well and the bacon wasn't too salty. Toast served on the side was pretty thick and filling. The panzerotto was delicious as well. Never had this type of donut, but I really liked it! The ricotta cheese was extremely rich and worked very well in countering the overly sweet donut shell. Try it out! Perfect place if you've just arrived in Sydney - or you want a nice place to eat breakfast -not too expensive which is a nice surprise considering the proximity to the water/view - downside is the wait for coffee/drinks/food - don't go there if you're in a hurry - one upsetting factor is I ordered a child's portion spaghetti Bol and an adult size - both were exactly the same size but the price differed a lot - all in all though it's a nice place and the staff are lovely. read more

Walked in for a late lunch and was told to pick any table. As we sat down at a table for four to have more space for our bags, the waiter approached us and told us tables for four were reserved for groups of four (it was just my husband and I).. you see normally I wouldn't mind, however the entire restaurant was empty apart from one other couple. And remained that way throughout our entire meal. Food is overpriced for what it is, but I guess that's what you get in tourist areas. read more

Very poor service on one of their femaal servers!!! We ordered for Rossinni breakfast and muffin. We requested for the muffin to be served ahead since I need to take my meds and will wait for the Rossinni breakfast. She served the muffin as requested but missed the other one. We waited for more than 30 minutes and when my husband followed-up she said her understanding is that we are only ordering the muffin and we wait for the breakfast. That's correct! we told her that we will wait for the breakfast, so it means we also ordered the Rossini bfast and we will wait for it. Snooty staff. We came for dinner. We waited in line. When they saw my mother's walker they tried to turn us away. They sat us and we could not get a waiter to bring water or menus. After 20 minutes, I was getting up to leave, when finally the menus came. Were they busy - yes but there were tables empty too. I felt discriminated against because of my father's cane and my mother's walker. The food was ok, not bad, but not delicious. Living in Italy, I know what good Italian food is, and this did not cut it. Their margherita pizza was just sauce and cheese. No basil, no tomato, nothing. We were told oregano could be added it was not even a full shake from a shaker that was added. This pizza cost more money than the overpriced pizzas at the New Year's Eve Sydney Opera House food stands, and those pizzas had basil! I will not return and do not recommend this place. Oh, only after I got up to get our own table water, is when we got water. We even paid for drinks, but after they were consumed, we still wanted water. One good thing is that you can listen to the free street entertainment while sitting outside. read more
