Large Italian restaurant - Bondi edition. Hits - bread, pastas, ricotta, riot spritzer, tomatoes (surprisingly sweet). Meh - burrata, octopus (sauce was great though). Outdoor seating recommended. Service was friendly if a little infrequent. Pricey for what it was.

You want to have a great time, wonderful food, and tasty drinks?! Head to Totti's! The best way to enjoy this place is to treat it like a tapas style establishment where I highly recommend sharing lots of small plates amongst your party. You can order individual mains for each person, but honestly that's not really the move. Use the wood fire bread as the centerpiece. Not only is it a must order, but it pairs great with all the other antipasti. The wood fire bread is flaky, fluffy, crunchy, and airy. The underlying taste is amazing on its on and it can only get further enhanced by dipping into other dishes or pairing it with prosciutto or other meats and cheeses as a small bite. Speaking of, you should most certainly order the prosciutto. It's high quality cured pork leg. If you are a fan of cheese, the burrata is a must! Other outstanding appetizers include the marinated peppers and mushrooms. The fries are good but it's a rather large and filling portion and you can get those elsewhere, too. Their drinks menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. The atmosphere is extremely lively, causal and upbeat. The place is packed and open late so plan accordingly. I would recommend making reservations. The staff is often busy and doesn't stop moving around all night. There are tons of tables to serve so you'll have to work to get their attention if you need something after your initial order. Overall, I'd highly recommend coming here if you want to enjoy small bites with friends!

This was the worst experience I had in Australia. The meal itself was mediocre for the price, the atmosphere was chaotic like a busy street market, and the staff were highly discriminatory. Since this was my last meal in Sydney, I chose a well-known restaurant, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst decision. I politely indicated that I was ready to order (without calling out or behaving rudely--I simply closed the menu and tried to make eye contact with a staff member first). However, all the white staff members ignored me and went to take orders from other white customers instead. Those customers had not even signaled for service; they were simply sitting at their table. After much difficulty, I was finally able to place my order. However, my drink order was missing, and despite my attempts to follow up, I was ultimately unsuccessful. When I asked for the bill, the staff realized their mistake, corrected it, and then requested payment. They discussed the issue among themselves, but there was no apology. I can't believe I even made a reservation to come here. For Asian women traveling alone, I strongly advise against wearing a backpack at this restaurant. Instead, wearing a dress and putting on makeup may help ensure better service. Or, if you want to be sure, change your race before visiting

WOWZA. This place just gets it. I could eat here every day. The food is so fresh, comes out quickly as you order, and is perfect for a family style meal. The quality of the food is unparalleled. We watched them freshly slice the prosciutto to order and fish the Buratta out of a huge vat of Burattas. The wood fired bread is the real show stopper here. I think between 7 of us we order 5 of them. It's like pizza dough, but salted and better. We also ordered the sardines, salami, ricotta, olives, marinated peppers, rocket and parm salad, and lamb raft. I'd recommend everything except the rocket was a bit too leafy.

    Pasta, chilly, scallops, awesome.

My husband and I came here for a Monday night dinner with my friend and her boyfriend. My friend had previously made a reservation for 5:45 pm. The staff seated us right away when we arrived and brought us menus. Totti's is a popular Italian restaurant by Merivale group and it's been around for awhile, but it was my first time visiting. The ambiance here is lovely and feels somewhat rustic, with seating in an airy courtyard with a tree in the middle. We decided to share a couple of appetizers between us, the wood-fired bread, burrata, white beans, and marinated peppers. The wood-fired bread is a popular dish at Totti's and a must-get. I was doubtful that this could be as good as my friend's boyfriend said it was, but definitely agreed that this is amazing bread. The white beans and marinated peppers were good, but not something you need to order. For pastas, my husband got the pappardelle with lamb ragu. This was a delicious pasta but it was one of the heavier ones. My friend and I shared the spicy vodka rigatoni and the spinach paccheri. The vodka rigatoni was great, but I enjoyed the spinach paccheri more, as this is a unique offering that I haven't often had before. The four of us were really stuffed after our meal and couldn't get dessert although we wanted to. We had leftovers that we took home with us. I'd say this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Sydney and would highly recommend coming here.

Great dinner at Tottis! We came without a reservation so there was quite a wait but we were able to go next door for a drink first. We had the best burrata with prosciutto and bread as an appetizer to our meal. For our entree we got two different pastas - they were good but we thought the appetizers were the stars of the show. Highly recommend Totti's!

We came at 8pm on a Sunday evening and it was packed so we put our name down and came back later. There are 16 options for pasta "sauces" that include a variety of meat, vegetables, herbs, etc. Then you choose from home-made pastas: gnocchi, fettuccine, spinach/ricotta ravioli, veal ravioli, penne or spaghetti. Per our friends suggestion we went with the fettucine pasta with the Bassano sauce (italian sausage, exotic mushrooms, porcini, fresh basil and sage, Napoli, dash of cream). It was AMAZING! The home-made noodles were cooked to perfection and the sauce was absolutely delicoius. It was $25 for the secondo (main) size which I think is reasonable. We also ordered the Parmagiana Catania (eggplant parmesan) that comes with bread and a side salad. It wasn't anything unique but the portion size was huge and the side salad helped balance out the heavy cheesy dish. Oh yeah, the garlic bread we ordered as a starter was awesome. With 2 mains, garlic bread and 1 glass of wine the bill came to $66 for two people. Not bad! We'll be back to eat our way through the rest of their menu!

I had a reservation which wasn't necessary this particular night, but a good idea nonetheless. If you don't request a private table (which I didn't) you will get seat at the big long group table, which is not intimate if you are on a date, but it's kinda fun to be surrounded by company and very Italian. We started off with a meat board for the entree (salami, prosciutto, etc). We then shared two pasta dishes for the main. One was similar to a ravioli (mezzelune) stuffed with ricotta and the other a long noodle (pappardelle) with meat sauce (their signature). You could taste the freshness in the noodles, which was not surprising considering they are hand made on site. The sauces were on point and the flavor palette was top notch. My biggest complaint was that the portions were not nearly big enough for the steep prices - left me wanting much more! But in terms of freshness, ingredients and quality, two big enthusiastic thumbs up. The signature dessert which was recommended by the wait staff (Cremino Al Cioccolato) was out of this world. One of the best desserts I've ever had. It was essentially a layered mousse with pudding texture, but so complex. There was chocolate, hazelnut, salted caramel gelato in there somewhere, with some crunchy biscuit sprinkled about, and a lovely meringue on top. Words don't do it justice - just make sure you don't leave without getting it. If I got hit by a bus on the way out, I could die happy about eating there. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly as well. The menu is very Italian but they explained everything well and were able to recommend a good wine for me based on my tastes. Hefty price to pay but worth the splurge for a special occasion.

Would have given 5 stars (well deserved for the food) - but the service was well below average (unfriendly) so it is a 4. We tried 3 pasta dishes (from 22 to 26$) : risotto with sage, pumpkin and buffala mozzarella, pasta a la vongole and I had cappelletti (pasta filled with cheese) Ai porcini. All 3 were delicious - very authentic as what you would get in Italy. The servings could be a little bigger (cappelletti in particular). At least it gave us the opportunity to try the desserts :-) Nutella tart was the special...and a winner. It was rich so good to be shared but the homemade crust was very well done and the filling has a great strong Nutella taste. I also liked the vibe - nothing fancy, simple busy local restaurant. A refreshing change from all the restaurants in the city, Surry hills etc... I must say :-)
