I stopped in to ask about repairing a few pairs of shoes and brought them with me since I wasn't sure what the materials were. I assumed the older lady with glasses and dark short hair, if she would be able to help identify them and let me know what could or couldn't be repaired. Unfortunately the interaction felt a bit abrupt. Several times I was told "that's vinyl, we can't do that" without much explanation or guidance. I understand that not everything can be repaired but the tone felt dismissive rather than helpful. My shoes were a bit dirty from regular wear, and when they left some dust on the counter there was a noticeable reaction that made me feel uncomfortable as a customer. I completely respect that certain materials can't be repaired, but a little more patience or willingness to guide customers who aren't experts in shoe materials would go a long way. read more

I had them marked where they had to be cut and sew, It was just two straps.They did a nice job and I got $25.00 out of my wallet, when I asked how much it was I through I hard it wrong so I asked again, she smiled and said $87.34, again I said how much again she said $87.34 . I said do you mean $8.73 and again she said $87.34. I paid with a CC and I will NEVER go back. I through my hearing was going. Rossi Shoe Service has really gone downhill. They used to have wonderful service and communication. I brought my handbag in three weeks ago for an exterior cleaning. Today I'm leaving with the bag untouched. I have called to see when I can pick it up and was told that they'll call me back with a date. No returned calls. I have had to physically get in the car and go to the store twice to check on it, only to be told it would be done by the end of the week. Still no service. A shrug, no apology, and they wanted to keep 40 % of my deposit. I am really disappointed in this store. Avoid if you can. read more

This is my go to place for highly specialized repairs for watch straps. I have one fancy Omega alligator skin watch strap and the strap keepers each ripped apart at different times. This is the second repair. Both have been perfect, highlight detailed, and very reasonably priced. Would recommend for detailed jobs,for sure. read more

Quick service and creative solution to a shoe problem. Reasonable prices. Nice people.

They resoled my shoes. Failed twice after - heel cracked then completely split off. They indicated they had nothing to mount it too. Told them to glue, failed again after wearing one time. I know two other people who have not been satisfied with their work lately. Not pleasant to deal with either. I took it somewhere else in Bryn mawr and they had no problem repairing. Amazing service, repaired a pair of Rondini python sandles (saharienne), that suffered a dog chewing session. Repair was done with calf leather that they dyed to match the original python scale pattern, got the length just right. I did contact Rondini to see if they would repair their own sandals, but they declined. Will be able to return to Saint Tropez strolls with these. Thank you Rossi! read more

I've never had to have rubber shoe soles put on, but I recently invested in a pair of leather mules with leather soles and thought it crucial to do so. I browsed a few places and Rossi's seemed like the closest with the fastest turnaround. Good service. Quick turnaround (dropped off Monday, picked up Friday). I'm not sure of the typical price for this service but my $55 investment has proven worth it so far (it's been 3 weeks since I've had the new soles). read more

So about a month ago our puppy chewed the edge of our Restoration Hardware leather couch cushion and Rossi's did an AMAZING job. The seams were perfect - they matched the color of the leather - and the sewing was impeccable. You knew it was fixed when you looked at it - but it was practically perfect in every way. Being a $7000 couch we didnt want to take it to any leather shop for repair. Our puppy on June 25th decided she was going to try her hand at two more of our couch cushions. Luckily the damage wasnt as bad as before - BUT unbeknownst to us - the lady who worked at Rossi - who fixed our leather cushions no longer worked there. They still accepted the job but when we got it back - there were roundels of leather on top to patch the holes. When we brought it home the glue had already pulled apart - the seams were a mess - and the seams didnt match up. The strings were all over the place. I went back into the shop to show them and their response was "We are not an upholstery company. Your dogs ruined the covers not us." They refused to take any responsibility for the screw up and sent us on our way. Now ask yourself - when you get your Louis Vuitton bag or Manolo Blahnik shoes done or any expensive leather piece that you own - "Do you want peace of mind knowing your loved leather pieces will be fixed properly?" or "Do you want to go to a place where they just don't care?" If its the latter - then Rossi is the place for you. They couldn't care less if the job they did was stellar or not. All they will do is refund your money, after they've already ruined your piece, and have you go somewhere else where you'll probably have to pay twice the amount to fix the damage they already did. I've been going here for years. Absolutely the most friendly staff I've met and a shoe cobbler. From what i understand this place may be contracted for Saks and or Neimans for their designer repairs. When i go there there are high and things being refinished and repaired. Not the cheapest but definitely one of the best as far as results are concerns. I recently took two pairs of shoes there to be refinished one pair the guys said were hardly needing a refinish. I liked that because that was honest. It shows they are not pressed to just take your money. The other pair were flats he tried to fix them but felt they were not as best as he would like them but they looked so much better to me. He was very honest about the quality of the shoes. He said they were made or poor material even tho they were 1400 dollar Valentino flats smh. But he gave them to me on the strength! Also sometimes when you come here you may be able to catch a designer purse or some high end shoes for a steal. I've seen some gold pieces for sale here. Took my boots for resoling. Approx 2 weeks turnaround time. Pricy but the stitching was perfect. Very happy with the result!

Brought my sneakers here to have the sneakers cleaned and the sole simply glued back on and and they did a very poor job. They put the sole back on incorrectly and left glue stains all over the shoe. After talking with the manager, simply put he stated that maybe the sole shrunk due to heat. Very unprofessional work and poor craftsman ship and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

The maintenance and repairs done to my bag did not last very long, maybe a month before it went back to the cracked and peeling state it was in before. If one has a need for a quick fix for an event or something and do not mind wasting money then this is the place. I found out later that in my case, the piping should have been replaced all together for a quality refurbish. I ended up going to the very pricey Artbag in NYC who did just that (replace piping and zipper collar) for a more permanent outcome and I am extremely satisfied FINALLY. read more

Surprise! Unmasked merchants. I was pretty surprised that everyone working in the Rossi Shoe Repair was not masked. Most merchants are still masking, regardless of mandates to be on the safe side, or just to seem considerate to their clientele. Rossi has an enormous, faithful, elderly (immunocompromised) client base, which recently added the clients from Morasco's, another area shoe repair that was great. I wasn't used to it or expecting it and only went it for a couple minutes. I had to come back to show them a stained bag and when I came out, I looked up, back through their window and realized that I had been exposed to these un-masked merchant's. One does not have to think about this at CVS or Whole Foods etc. The dry cleaner, or everywhere else I go everyone working is masked, so I kind of let down my guard. Then I called from my car and spoke to them about it. I said that they could see through their window, that all of the kids that are doing ballet right next-door are bothering to mask and they are children. They just said, "Yup, we're not masked." I just thought I would post this, so others who don't want to be exposed can avoid it, better than I did. What a wake-up call for me. This is the end of a long business relationship, which I truly valued. I left a belt with them, which I will ask them to bring out to the curb and take my credit card on Friday. read more

In July I bought 2 pairs of heels here to be serviced. Nude patent Jimmy Choo pumps which they replaced the heel taps and did something to the sole so the pointy tip of the shoe isn't damaged over time. In addition I had my black Louboutins resoled. This place is super busy, my shoes weren't in bad shape but as I was waiting I witnessed customers bringing some shoes that needed miracles worked on them. I was pleased with my experience overall 3.5 week wait which I was quoted at time of drop off. Cost was $90. I definite for designer shoes or shoes that require challenging repairs. read more

I'm new to the PA area and wanted to find a solid shoe place that could take good care of my Christian Louboutins-HERE IS YOUR PLACE. I had nude shoes that the heel was caught in the escalator and ripped the leather down the back. And the heel caps we're totally broken and busted. They repaired both and added clear toe protectors for me because I was wearing down the bottom tips pretty bad. They did an EXCELLENT job!!! And the new heel caps are WAY stronger than the ones you get originally from CL. I walk hard on my shoes and I wear these as daily wear to work-and these heel caps survived a day in the city with no issues! Went to Rossi Shoe Service today to support a local business. The lady who waited on me was not friendly, barely greeted me, and was trying to rush me along. Needless to say she couldn't help with my repair, but was more disturbed at her rudeness. Very unfriendly, rolled her eyes, and basically was like, "it is what it is, we don't work on those type of shoes." I am a healthcare worker, it was a fairly expensive shoe, $145.00, and she treated me like I was asking for her help with a $10 shoe. There are ways to talk to people and she certainly could use a lesson in customer friendliness. Would never recommend a business that treats customers so rudely, after only being in line for 2 minutes. It wasn't even like they were busy. I went to Rossi's with a few different issues and they resolved all but one and only because they gave me an honest recommendation that there were limitations to the work they could do to clean and repair which was right on - much appreciated! The material wasn't quality. The UGGs were in bad shape, filthy and muddy and sat in my basement for a year...they now look like brand new. Newish Suitcase was damaged and the thought was to send the suitcase out to have it repaired for an estimate of $80 when one of the craftsman suggested a reinforced in-house fix to the zippers which was $15 and worked like a charm! I came to Rossi Shoe Repair after a co-worker (who has the most fabulous shoes AND high standards) came here and was delighted by them. I had the most beautiful pair of Burberry boots that have sat in my closet for years because I simply could not zip them up past my muscular calves. I thought I would just have to get rid of them, but decided Rossi's would be my last chance before selling them. They were super friendly and solution oriented. Over the phone they suggested we could stretch the leather to fit. Once I brought the boots into the store, they decided stretching would not work and that we could insert extra leather along the zipper to give the needed space. Their craftsmanship and work is great. Everyone that I show them too says they would have never even noticed the work they had done. The boots look amazing, and once again fit! UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL BELOW.... Gave this shop another go round based on needing repairs to very expensive bags and shoes. Even the people in the high end dpmt stores in KOP recommend Rossi's for repairs. So at this point, I knew my options were limited in the area if I wanted my hi-end items handled with care. Over the last few months I had quite a few repairs done and all the work was fabulous. The same guy who I labeled as rude before was fine to deal with, I now know what I caught was just a part of his personality but he is not a bad person at all. All my items came back were in wonderful condition and they did a fabulous job stretching my shoes out for me. This is now my new go to repair shop and I would recommend to others. ORIGINAL The guy who runs this place is VERY rude and arrogant. I took a handbag in for a repair and he tossed it back at me and basically said he couldnt repair it. I didnt have an issue with this however, he was very rude and loud and basically just not customer friendly. I figured I may have caught him on a bad day so I called back a few months later to ask about the cost of a cleaning on a bag. Yet again he was very loud and rude.
