About that time we heard that Bob Lembcke was giving a seminar to local residents in Shingletown. That was our lucky day over 8 years ago. Based on personal experience I highly recommend Bob for many reasons. He will come to your home and lay out the plans that are available to you and within the county that you reside. He will help you choose the plan that will work the best for your personal needs and also within your budget. He will help you fill out the paperwork and follow up if necessary. Bob's job doesn't end when he leaves your home. He stays very informed throughout the year on any upcoming insurance changes and will call to let you know if these changes could affect you. By the same token, If you have questions, just pick up the phone and call Bob. Throughout the years we have come to consider Bob not only the insurance agent who has our back but also a good friend as well.

INCOMPETENT & DANGEROUS. My wife and I used Ziptax for three consecutive years for our personal…read moretaxes, and it has taken another two consecutive years to repair all the damage. I do not enjoy leaving 1-star reviews and rarely ever do, but this business has caused us so much distress that it would be unfair not to warn others before contacting this office. We switched to another local tax resolution and preparation office, and we were stunned upon deeper investigation to find out just how bad our situation was after using Ziptax. We were slammed with IRS penalties, interest, and found that Ziptax not only neglected to file our taxes correctly, they also purposely left out write-offs they claimed had been entered. Ziptax filing errors and incompetence has cost us thousands of dollars, and we are still working to resolve the problems they caused. The tax preparer we worked with overlooked basic forms that were needed to file for health insurance and college expenses, and ultimately refused to include legitimate tax write-offs on our behalf. We were then forced to file an IRS amendment, and she submitted incomplete documentation several times causing the IRS to close out the amendment due to missing information. Ziptax makes no attempt to discuss your tax situation in an effort to maximize your refund or limit the amount owed. Our experience was that of a slam & jam tax prep company that simply looks for the fastest, easiest way to submit the return. I have to assume Ziptax is at least capable of filing basic personal taxes on some level, otherwise they would be out of business by now. But do yourself a favor, interview your tax preparer before working with them and ask them about their process. We failed to do so initially with Ziptax, and it cost us dearly. Better yet, skip Ziptax altogether and find a more competent company in town.

I just got a great auto insurance rate with Giles Insurance Brokers out of Anderson, CA…read more I had been with Allstate for 20 years, and switched to Progressive about a year ago for a lower rate. This past renewal, Progressive sent me a letter telling me they were raising mine and my hub's rates by 30%, at no fault of our own. They said it was due to demographics. Of course I was not happy. They wanted $210 per month to insure 2 cars, one with full coverage and one with liability only. Tiffany at Giles got all three of our cars covered with full coverage, a $500 collision deductible and a $100 comprehensive deductible, for less than that with Nationwide / Allied, which is an A+ rated company. She really took the time to look at the best options for us. Great, friendly service...check it out if you want to get a quote, and remember your broker doesn't have to live in the same town as you...you typically only talk to them on the phone, right? And if you are going direct to the insurance company, like I was with Progressive, definitely make the change to a broker...they really work for you and not dealing direct with the insurance company yourself is so nice. There are no fees from you to broker either, the insurance companies pay their fees. It's like having a personal shopper, but for insurance, saving you loads of time and aggravation. Bottom Line: Call Giles Insurance and ask for Tiffany, and tell her I sent ya...you will be happy you did! :)
