You will never, ever feel like they're rushing or dismissive of your animal's needs. They really get to know everyone personally. Every time one of my animals has passed away, they've cried with me. I work a lot and they're always willing to work with me. I've had my dogsitter and/or friends drop off and pick up animals for me, I've paid over the phone, etc., because they're there for the animals and they don't care how I have to get them there. The staff is so helpful that even if I'm there for one animal, they'll see that I'm about to run out of meds for another animal and have the refill ready to go. One of the things that distinguishes Dr. Nashe from other vets is his use of tried-and-true methods rather than immediately recommending new!exciting!expensive! solutions. He's extremely knowledgeable and won't push you for some fancy treatment course if a simple "give her one vitamin e a day" will do. I have also boarded my dogs there several times and they take excellent care of them. They've also done exams for my dogs during boarding as requested (e.g. I dropped off a dog to be boarded who has chronic ear infections, and since the vet was no longer there when I dropped her off, they did the exam the next day without me and called to let me know what they found). (You still have to pay for the exam.) I trust them to give all medications and attend to details such as which dogs can/can't be trusted with blankets in the kennel. I've called many times at the last minute and they've found space. I found Dr. Nashe because I had taken a dog to Dr. Vargoshe many years ago and enjoyed his old-fashioned methods, but he was on vacation when I needed a new dog vet and his office referred me to Dr. Nashe and I'm so, so happy.

That is when I was told the truth: the dosage of medication Berkshire Veterinary Hospital had prescribed was far too low for my dog's size and condition. Because of this, his epilepsy was not properly controlled, leading to a massive seizure, severe brain damage, and ultimately the loss of my beloved dog. This loss was preventable. If my dog had been treated correctly and carefully from the beginning, he could still be alive today. I am left completely heartbroken, traumatized, and angry. I trusted this clinic with my dog's life, and that trust was misplaced. I will never return here, and I strongly warn others to be extremely cautious. In my experience, this clinic did not show the care, attention, or urgency that our pets deserve. My dog deserved better.

Right after this visit - wanting to buy more prescription food (Cats Corner was out), He took a swab of my cat's ear - looked at it under the microscope and said there is no infection or bacteria that he could see - so he too was puzzled why Dr. Ball would have prescribed antibiotics. Prescribing unnecessary antibiotics is not good for the cat and of course leads to other problems (UTI's etc.) Not to mention over prescribing antibiotics leads to microbes becoming disease resistant. Dr. Ball and Vet Tech Patricia were impressionably knowledgeable and exceedingly compassionate. Cat's Corner goes above and beyond to provide a clean and calm environment for the fur babies. The clinic was designed and operates from a cat's perspective. Details like having a small towel-lined basket for kitty to nest in for security makes a measurable difference in the severity of your cats stress intensity. Dr. Ball and Patricia took their time to thoroughly examine Bear and answer any questions I had. To not feel rushed in and out of the clinic was so refreshing. As someone who is absolutely obsessed with their cat and wants to understand every little thing going on with him, I appreciated the patient education being provided to me without having to ask, both verbally and followed up in writing via email. In addition, as someone who has a chronic illness leaving me immunocompromised, I felt safe as the clinic still enforces strict COVID precautions. This was a breath of fresh air and made me feel like my life mattered as a disabled person. I genuinely could not be more relieved to have found Dr. Ball and her team. Everything about this clinic embodies professionalism and empathy. It was disheartening to see people complain about the cost of care in prior reviews.
