Ross is still one of the greatest places to shop. Getting brand names for less is great and they always have something new. The prices are super low and you can get something for the entire family. They always have someone close to help and their checkout is fast. read more

Security takes your photo as soon as you walk in. If they think you look like a shoplifter, you will get another closeup taken within 2 mins. They will hunt you down and rudely walk down the aisle you are on and shout excuse me to make you look at the camera they are wearing and holding on their body. It's an extreme invasion of comfort. Don't expect a fun trip. read more

Fitting room is closed, how I supposed to try anything to see if it fits on me or not? They told me "you can come to change it other day." Ok! So I should waste my time again coming here, instead of you give a better customer service???? I also saw people going out the place with all the purchases in their hands because they don't give a bag!!!! THE WORST ROSS EVER! read more

Ross Dress for Less - Department Stores Near Me - Ukiah, California

This is by far the worst Ross I've ever been to. There are always clothes and other items littering the floor! It's worse around the holidays! The reason they got 3 stars from me is that their inventory is decent. Not so much their clothing choices but their housewares, linens, and luggage is acceptable. The staff is very young and obviously would rather be somewhere else. They aren't highly knowledgeable about their store or their own policies. Go there for sure but be prepared for a mess and not enough staff to clean it and keep it clean!! read more

I have a very good friend who resides in the same city as this Ross store. He is disabled with a chronic illness, and he's on medications that make him sensitive to the sun. So he has taken to enjoying walking around Ross, while shopping he gets exercise. He found some cool Mario toys, and his wife was with him but in a separate area of the store. My friend wanted to show his wife the toys. This security card singled him out and gruffed aggressively "don't do it man" and my friend questioned him, and the security guard repeated himself. My friend returned today because he was hoping this security guard wouldn't be there so he could walk around and browse the store. The security guard spoke in a different language to some other employees and they started following him around. My friend has never stolen anything in his life, and he most certainly has done nothing to warrant being singled out by this security guard. He is a disabled man who used to enjoy Ross and was a loyal customer. He will be finding a new place to shop, somewhere where he isn't discriminated against or judged harshly. He's literally about 120lbs soaking wet due to his illness, and felt extremely intimidated by this awful security guard. If you're disabled, avoid this store to make sure you're not discriminated against. read more

I'm absolutely floored. My friend who is disabled always walks around there because he's sensitive to the sun. He went 2 days in a row and was harassed by the security guard. Even though the value of items is good. Which he also shops there because there is a large selection. How dare you harass my friend who is disabled and literally had nothing on him. He doesn't carry a purse. So why does this security guard single him out. Today the guy talked a different language to these Hispanic girls and they started following him. What is wrong with him. My friend Is by far anyone to cause problems. Now you lost 2 customers. If anything there will be a harassment charge if this security guard doesn't have a job. You are not allowed to discriminate a disabled person. My thoughts is how you treat your customers is how you enjoy your job. How many other people who go there that is harassed. Do better. This review is going everywhere I can. Also I'm not discriminating race either. He yelled at him more then twice. read more

Very poor customer service Employees profiles you from top to bottom Last time I went there one of their security was following me around the store, sorry buddy if the way I was dressed and no makeup on, made you feel like I was a thief. Very disrespectful they way they treat you. This store is more then just poor service, is a mess every time I go there stuff is everywhere and out of place. read more

Tim the check out clerk was sweetest person & made me smile!! I would be grumpy if I had to work Christmas Eve but he was great!! I don't live in Ukiah but if I did I'd be back!! read more

Products are ok. Some staff is good, some staff is rude and some staff can't understand my questions. Kimberly a mid-30's check out clerk seems a bit ageist I only saw her smile or say anything pleasant to her fellow workers and the 20 somethings that went through her line, feeling a need to look cool to the younger crowd? would have been nice if she could have said anything pleasant "did you find what you were looking for", "hello", "thank you", or "have a nice day", I guess Me and my kids are in the wrong age groups to be worthy of anything but: "want a bag", and "you owe $47.95". A truly unpleasant worker, maybe she'd be better hanging up clothes or something where customer interaction isn't a required activity. read more

I went in today to get some Christmas items. Worst decision. The racks were so jammed in I couldnt get a cart through them much less walk through. EVERY ISLE in the store was heavily covered with toys, cloths ,decorations. And not a single employee stopped to pick up a thing. One female employee even stepped over several items and kept walking. There is not enough staff present to help customers, check out ,clean up the store, or even answer questions. After a 20 min wait in line we were.finally done. I do NOT recommend shopping at this location. I will NOT be returning. read more

We waited in line for 15 min then in line for 20 min while yet another cashier walks off to hang up hangers seriously with 12 people in line !!! What in the heck ..i feel like ill start shopping in Santa rosa Ross read more

Staff was ok but this store is a MESS! Merchandise everywhere all over the floor and isles.

Stopped shopping at this Ross. Every time I shop at this Ross, it drains my soul. Maybe it's all the homeless, maybe it's the security guard stationed at the front entrance, or the dirty dressing rooms, or the fact that they just assume you're trying to steal clothes that you just want to try on. The only thing missing is a tall, bullet-proof pane between you and the cashier. On our last trip, we picked up a pair of FILA shoes for our son, and both shoes started to fall apart within 2 weeks. I realize that these are not the best shoes, but if they only last 2 weeks, it's more of a scam being perpetrated on the consumer than an actual, viable product. We took them in and showed the manager. "We believe these shoes are defective," we said. "We don't offer refunds on used items," she replied. "But... how else can we know they are defective, but to use them?" we reasoned. "Perhaps your son was too hard on them," she suggested. "BOTH shoes broke in the same place, in just two weeks, when his last pair lasted him 9 months," we responded. "It's not our son, it's the shoes." She continued to insist they didn't give refunds, and we continued insist that shoes shouldn't fall apart after 2 weeks. Eventually she conceded and offered a refund... which was odd... considering they don't offer refunds (we can only conclude she had lied). Anyway, that's enough of this Ross for us. They assume the worst about their customers, and it shows. We have better luck at Kohl's. Their prices are just as reasonable, it's cleaner, it's easier to find what you want, and they don't make you feel like a criminal for wanting to try something on (or return something). read more

Who doesn't like Ross They r the bomb They always have something new and exciting to shop for read more

Rude store. Very hostile employees and dirty, do they ever clean the floors or the bathrooms?

I was visiting from Sacramento and decided to come here on a Sunday evening. This store was very crowded. You couldn't even get down most of the aisles to look at anything. There was merchandise all over the floor thrown everywhere. I wanted to get out of that store ASAP. I have never experienced any of the Ross stores in Sacramento like that. I will not be returning. read more

I really want to like this store, but I can't. The staff seem irritated to have to deal with customers. The store is dirty and aisles are crowded. It is not a fun place to shop. read more

The staff were great! It wasn't a waste of time at all!I found really well known brands in there and a pair of jeans I love keep the good work up! read more

Typical Ross store. Crowded aisles and over stuffed shelves. A lot of good deals if you have the time and the patience to sort through them. They have everything from kitchen utensils to patio furnitures, luggages to Playboy throws. read more

Good for: designer tennies, dog beds, an occasional odd ball interesting art statue or piece of furniture, quality but mismatched pots and pans, towells, cheap clothes that look like s*** after being laundered, friendly and helpful staff when you can find one, goofy weird stuff, cheap house design junk that mimics the real deal desighner things found in Nordstrom and Macy's. HATE that you cant bring shopping carts outside. But over all still a very fun place to go shopping. Interesting odd ball gadgets, cheap candles and tempting edibles all for about half off original prices. read more

I love the deals here , but why do the cashiers seem like their souls have been crushed? Possible due to the registers being so under staffed. Every other Ross I've been to is cleaner, more staffed, and they actually have bags available in case you forgot your reusables. read more

They have some of the worst customer service ever! Did someone ever teach them to say hi to customers and not talk to other people when they are ringing someone up?! Focus on your customers, not what gossip your co-worker is saying! Sometimes I have to ask what my total is as well. Also the selection is hit or miss and yea do not go there on a Sunday unless you want to fight for isle space and ward off unattended children read more

This is a GREAT option for the area. Normally i score majorly here and leave with no buyer's remorse! This ross delivers in each department. Ive been tp several, santa rosa is probably the best, but this one in Ukiah has really stepped up its availability game. Although things get sparse around back to school time. read more

Whenever I'm in town, I'll come by to have a look here and I most of times I will find something worth buying. The selection is better than other ross in bay area. read more

This place is a complete mess and always packed with people... But I never leave empty handed! The toy isle was so full it was overflowing all over the floor Found so many cheap Christmas presents, just had to dig a little. Well a lot actually. read more

I love going to this store.... There is always something new and interesting. I am able to decorate my home on a fraction of the cost!

Nice store but in ukiah, as in solona beach, bring your own bag cause they want to charge you for bags. Associates were pretty friendly. Store didn't have good reception for t mobile... Fairly good selection but on smaller size and could use more organization. read more

Security profiled me from the jump cuz my tattoos i guess and followed me around the whole store. So annoying.

They won't let you take the carts outside because the homeless steal them. So, you have to carry your items bit by bit to your car parked outside. Also, there is no room on the counter after they ring stuff up, so you have to dump it back in your cart and hope you don't get double charged by forgetting it was already rung up. read more

Don't go during prime time. Don't go during big sales if you can avoid it. The selection of men's shoes is poor for a Ross store.

Everyone goes to Ross because there's good stuff one needs for less money. I'm tired though of the unfriendliness and indifference of the staff. They need some kind of attitude adjustment training. Other than the "am I in trouble?" it's a rockin Ross as Rosses go. read more

My favorite store yes its messy but it has really nice clothes that are in style for cheep and they have lots of stuff
