Wanted to like this place really bad, the selection is cute. The prices were pretty good. I was sold a pair of jeans that are originally about $270 online and I got them for $60. I was ecstatic! The woman working there told me that they are light jeans mostly designed for horseback riding and such. She pointed out that the jeans were tailored on the back pockets for more strength/stability. Sounded good, looked good, fit and felt good. BUT, First day of wearing them at my cashier job where i literally STAND all day, i noticed on my bathroom break there was already tearing near a belt loop with thin threading. (I could completely see my skin/underwear) I already had the worst thought in my mind as i looked through the crotch area of the jeans, and the threading was completely see through and worn out!! So completely embarrassing! I have only ever experienced this happening with a pair of jeggings i had and that was only after years of wearing them did they start to thin. I am genuinely surprised that these jeans were even for sale because they won't last a month and aren't salvageable at all. I called the store the next day and asked if they did returns/refunds or even partial credit, and i was just met with an instant "no" over the phone, didn't even ask me why or inquire more about it. I'm so sad because i feel like i got scammed and it kinda ruined my first visit to this place. I can't even wear the jeans i bought :(. read more

Labels is my favorite place to shop in ukiah out of all the thrifts and regular shops for fashion! The owner is the sweetest ever always helpful in finding specific items or putting things on hold for me and hyping me up, everytime I go in the customer service is above and beyond. Got notice from Labels Resale Boutique that a handbag of mine had sold and my amount from the sale was $54, which didn't make sense bc the owner had priced the bag at $165 and the payout contract was 40% to sellers so my portion should be $66. I go to pick up check,--- no easy feat bc I would call first and consistently be told the owner wasn't there; even tho the person answering the phone would, often, first indicate she was,--- and ask why my portion was less than the sellers' 40% in the contract. She said she had discounted the handbag for Black Friday sale on Nov. 23, the day after Thanksgiving; however, the email notice I'd gotten from her store stated the handbag had actually SOLD on Nov. 17,--- not Black Friday. Their contract states a 2 month consignment period, with a 3rd month 25% markdown,--- I took the bag in on 10/29/18 and it sold 19 days later on Nov. 17. You know, I'd read the bad reviews online and decided to give them a chance anyway; and even tho it's only a difference of $12 it gives an indication of business practices, ethics, and professionalism. So I chalked it up to a test case, and now I do my resale business in Santa Rosa or Marin, sell it myself online, or give it to Goodwill. The stress of doing business with this type of model, ....trust me, it just isn't worth it. read more

I just moved to ukiah from nevada city and was missing my favorite shop solstice so I decided to check this little shop out. For a place that calls themselves labels, it was extremely difficult to see forever 21 clothing. The clothing in my opinion are priced way too high for the "label" you are getting and quality of newness. I also witnessed, I think the owner, evaluating someones clothing and she passed up a really nice bebe shirt. I was about to stop the girl to ask her if she would sell it to me. The owner also subtly insulted the girl by telling her that she prices some items at $5 after just giving her $6 for 2 items of clothing!! It is a small shop and I was standing close by...I felt sorry for the girl. I mean obviously she looked able to purchase items beyond $5 even if that was what she received in credit. If she was at Solstice in Nevada City, she would have probably received twice that!!! And with much better selection. I will not be back! If I had clothing to resale, I would wait till I go back to nevada city for better selection, price, quality, and much better resale price!!! This place is extremely over, over rated!!! I love the selection here, you can get stuff for $5 all the way up to $70. I always end up buying something no matter my budget. Its not only a great place for myself to trade in some of my clothes for new ones, but also great for my preteen daughter. She has found some cute Abercrombie, Lucky and Gap jeans for an awesome price. We did a little back to school shopping here and it didn't put me in the poor house! I also really love the owner!! She is so sweet! I really like that she is picky about what she takes to sell. I'd rather have great stuff to shop for at a great price than not much selection and too expensive! oh my goodness. Where to start! I found Labels three years ago when my husband had a training in Ukiah and I wandered around the cute town checking it all out. We almost two hours away keep in mind......I had an amazing experience there and purchased a few items. The following year, the training was in the same hotel and I again checked in. The owner was a bit busy and not as warm and friendly as my first experience but never the less, I purchased a few items. My 17 year old daughter had a bunch of designer jeans and clothes to sell and I thought, hey, we can drive up hwy 101, check out the shop on a Monday, see what she takes and have lunch! The owner went through the pile and kept quite a bit of stuff and we were told to come back before June 29th to pick up what didn't sell otherwise she would keep it. Sounded good! My daughter and I drove there last week, on a Monday, June 19th. We walked in the store and the owner was sitting on the floor going through a pile of clothes. She did not greet us so we walked around a bit uncomfortable "shopping". I went up to the counter and said we were there to pick up her check for clothes sold and the clothes that didn't sell since the 29th deadline was the following week. She rudely informed us that she needed a heads-up on pulling items off the shelf and didn't know if she would have time. I said "oh i'm sorry, I didn't know that as we never received a confirmation email like we were supposed to back in March" and she rudely responded that she sent them and this is the first time she has heard that an email wasn't received. She paid my daughter out some cash for items sold and said she would try to pull the items since she knew we came from so far away and I said "no worries, we'll go have lunch!" I offered to pull some of the items since we spotted them on the racks to help and she said "that's not necessary". So we went to lunch and after checking back in, were told we'd need to come back by June 29th. I was trying to figure out how to get there this week and asked a friend of mine that lives in Ukiah if she wouldn't mind doing me a HUGE favor and swinging by there to pick up my daughter's clothes. She graciously said YES! So I called Labels Ukiah - the phone number on the website yesterday, MONDAY, June 26, 2017 and left a lengthy message on the details of who would be picking up. I did not get a return call today. I had my daughter call also this morning and she spoke to an employee who said she wasn't allowed to pull items and that her boss would need to and we would have to check back in tomorrow. The employee stopped talking and there was a silence on the other end, so my daughter assumed she hung up and also hung up. My 17 year old daughter received an Instagram Direct Message asking for her to please call the owner. She called and put her on speaker phone and I was just appalled at her tone of voice and attitude towards her that I had to take over the conversation. She called my daughter "childish and rude and will never take her clothes again on consignment" she has customers from all over and she took the day off o spend with her kid and is very busy.... and after I said "i left you a voicemail yesterday and didn't get a response back" she said "I don't take voicemails and like I said I took the day off and I'm busy and my employee doesn't lie" Seriously - I can't even put my words down right now as i'm FURIOUS at the way she treated us over the phone and now looking back, in person last week. I am not one to YELP, but I am one to tell the world when I love something and get a bunch of my friends to check out new places because of my recommendations.......but today, the owner of Labels was a total jerk. Awesome locally owned consignment store..it is a very warm and friendly enviroment. I love that I can bring my toddler here if I need to as she has some toys to help him feel welcome. I've never sold clothes here but I do love to buy other peoples gently used clothes and they have new clothes as well as a recently added home furnishings area as well as mens clothes. I've shopped at labels since they've opened. It's the best place in ukiah to find high quality clothes at a great resale price that I can afford. Labels carries brands like miss me, uggs , micheal cors, banana republic, and True religion, for often times a third of the original price. Labels is always one of my stops in downtown ukiah. When a store can offer items for sale that are fashionable to a 40 year old and a 14 year old, you know you are in the right place. Completely unprofessional. I tried to call this business a few times within the past several weeks. The owner had given me her business card. When I called to see if she was accepting items, I got a message that the mailbox was not set up -- yet again. I drive a long way to get to Ukiah, but was going anyway, so I brought some things along just in case. It wasn't the first time, but the issue here is that the number on her business card is unreachable. She became immediately hostile about not taking anything. I merely said that the phone number wasn't working. She yelled that she could take things or not as she pleased, "go sell your own clothes" etc. She completely failed to understand the point. What, was she on drugs? I replied that I did not take it personally and that whether she was or wasn't taking things that day was beside the point, but that a working phone would help her run a business properly. She said she didn't care, continued throwing a tantrum about "not taking anything", then dramatically marched to the door and demanded that I leave. It was bizarre to see an adult business owner become so childishly unhinged over a business matter that is her job to deal with. I simply suggested that she set up a working phone number. Good selection of high quality used clothes - and it doesn't smell musty or over Febreezed.

Do not recommend this store at all. Not only do I almost never find clothing, but the owner is also very rude, I could not believe it. I had taken about 5 pairs of jeans in to receive store credit and I was given $105. I would go in constantly to try to find clothing, but was never satisfied with the quality of the clothing for the price listed. Finally after about two years of trying, I was able to find a single pair of jeans priced at $80. I walked up to the counter expecting to be able to use my store credit without a problem, but that was not what had happened. Instead, the owner was VERY rude to me right from the get go and tried telling me that she was "going to be nice" and allow me to use it, but that I wouldn't be able to use the remainder of my credit. I explained to her that it didn't make sense that I wasn't allowed to use it since they were MY pants that I gave to her, but she insisted that most places wouldn't have even done THAT for me. Since when does store credit expire? It really does not make sense to me. All in all, I do not recommend this business. It's hard to find clothing and the owner is incredibly rude. read more

I'm sad about how I was treated on the phone today by whomever was working there. I had heard such nice things about this store and had a pleasant experience there my first visit but that all became irrelevant unfortunately. I called simply to ask about exchanging a pair of jeans, when the girl answered the phone I was half way through telling her why I was calling when she interrupted me by yelling goodbye to some other customer and then after a long pause she snapped "yes I'm still listening to you!" I continued explaining why I was calling and she explained to me their commission policy which I completely understood,she finished by saying "So no you cant have your money back." I replied by saying that wasnt my intention I simply wanted to exchange and that I understood to which she replied by laughing at me and then like some sort of valley girl saying "yeah no." Gross, I hope this girl grows up and starts respecting people. read more
