As a parent, it is heartbreaking to see your child afraid to return to school because he no longer feels safe in his classroom. No family should feel ignored when reporting repeated issues involving their child. Schools should create a safe, supportive environment for students, especially young children. I hope the administration takes bullying concerns more seriously in the future and improves communication and accountability with parents.

I am writing this review to share a very serious safety incident that occurred involving my four…read moreyear old son, who has autism and was enrolled in the special education program at Stoddard Elementary. My son started school on Monday, January 12, 2026. His first week seemed to be going well until Friday, January 16, 2026. During pickup, parents are required to go directly to the classroom due to the students special needs. When I arrived to pick up my son, he was not in the classroom and was unaccounted for. His teacher did not know where he was, and at that point we realized he was missing. Multiple adults were present in the classroom at the time, yet no one had noticed that my son had left. We searched and eventually found him alone and unsupervised on the playground, wandering by himself. Thankfully, he was found safely, but this was extremely alarming given his age, diagnosis, and the fact that he requires close supervision. This situation could have ended very differently. Due to this incident, we made the decision to immediately remove our son from this school. While staff were notified, the lapse in supervision was significant and unacceptable for a special education setting where safety should be a top priority. I am sharing this to inform other parents, especially those with children who have special needs, so they can make fully informed decisions.

The new principal is very hands on he cares foe the kids I've even seen him console crying kids on the first day of school just how kids get when they're off to school for the very first time and cry. He believes in awarding the kids who excel my children have encountered great teachers with the exception of one but that was many years ago. My children love the school and the teachers and have made many friends within the very few years they've been here. The school has been newly remodeled a year or so ago but it still has an above average rating in the school rankings so not sure what to think of it. At least the school and community are moving in the right direction.

Mrs Harding was my teacher. it's…read morehard to remember everything but I do remember the day at the start of the school when they lined us all up on the playground and Walt Disney came to work his way down the line shaking each one of our hands. I also remember the cafeteria with it's beautifully colored wooden cutouts of all the Disney characters on the walls. i remember having a student monitor sitting at the head of the cafeteria table who decided when you could leave. i loved my 1st grade teacher and the whole school in general. Now I'm 74 years old and that school is a very good memory. Unfortunately then we moved to a different district.
