Called several times for 2 days straight while I was staying in the area in the Poconos and left messages and they never called me back.

This Barn is lovely! My family had a wonderful time from beginning to end. I had been looking for…read moresomewhere to take a trail ride for awhile since I remembered how much fun it was when I was a kid and I wanted my kids to have the same fun I did. My friends told me about this place after I heard their story of the great time they had with their family on the trail. We scheduled our trail ride with ease and then showed up early as recommended. My husband, my two girls, and myself had a private trail ride, just us and the guides! Our guides were so engaging and were truly a delight. They knew about the trails and the area as well as could name every horse that my youngest pointed to in the fields we passed. The ride was so picturesque and peaceful, the trail was very well maintained, as was the entire property. The horses sure seemed happy! My eldest wanted to buy her horse she loved him so much. All the horses we encountered were calm, gentle, and very friendly. I kept hearing all about the horses and which was their favorite the entire car ride home and around the house for the next few days. I would for sure recommend this barn for trail rides. There were no negatives in our experience and we are planning on scheduling another trail ride once the girls are out of school, maybe even sending them to the summer camp that this barn holds. If you want to have a great time out in nature I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

After 6 months, Homeymoon was over and we were treated as lowlifes. I don't understand. My wife and I are decent people. I am retired Army. You would think that an owner would have better business sense, knowing how to handle customer service after so many decades. She has NONE. We didn't know that our horse was overdue for vaccinations. OK. No prob. Fix it. Right? We were ordered to remove our horse if it didn't get done. ASAP. That simple. No loyalty, teamwork, or sympathy. Owner's arrogance leads me to believe she is on medication for something. Likely an alcoholic. There are very few clients. Very few. Almost none. It's run like a concentration camp. The only good facet is that there are very large fields, where horses can live their lives naturally. We removed our horse from this facility at 7 am. She had a car lined up so that we could not get out, over a $144 due balance. We can now live in peace.

Consider more for recreation than a way to learn. We've been riding with Seaton since 2024 and have unfortunately had a mostly unpleasant experience. The place itself is beautiful and convenient, and hence the 2 stars. The teachers are a mixed bag. Most are high schoolers who probably get credits for teaching. Some of them are good as teachers and with kids and others are average. Classes are quite disorganized. When we'd ride, we would arrive on time and wait around for the teacher to get the horse cutting classes by anywhere from 15 - 20mins. We also had situations where we were assigned large horses for very young kids in spite of requesting smaller horses / ponies in the notes. Lastly, their systems are quite poor. We bought each of our girls a rider card but there is no portal or communication around usage, billing, expiry etc. The previous management (Wendy) made up for the lack of organization at Seaton through passion and customer service. However, the new management seems more commercially minded and more inexperienced in terms of dealing with customers, miscommunication, accommodating loyal customers, etc.

I knew I wanted to work with all kinds of animals, but horses held a special place in my heart. As a result of Judy & Shelly's generosity, I had the opportunity to work side by side with their horses. At first, they weren't sure what to expect, and I was ill-advised to explain the process. I have worked with many humans but never animals. A chance was taken with me, and amazing things happened. Through our work, I learned how to communicate with horses and help heal their past dramas, and Judy & Shelly's horses were able to get the help they needed. Morning Star farm is a special place. I have been to many horse farms since and I have never seen two humans care and love for their animals as much as Judy and Shelly do. They are true heroes, who have saved countless animals and their work with neurodivergent children & adults has left me speechless. The love they have for their animals and clients is endless and that is a special gift to have! Thank you, Judy & Shelly, for being my teachers of all things horses and giving back to this world in a way most people can't even imagine.
