Highly recommend for sod installation. After searching…read morearound Jacksonville for a landscaping company and interviewing a few to install sod in my backyard, I came across Southwest Landscaping. I contacted Brad, the owner to come out and give an estimate. He was at my house the next morning, very knowledgable about the preparation, different types of grasses, maintance and the installation process. Why we made the decision to go with Southwest over the other companies, is that Southwest wasn't going to take down part of our fence to install sod or charge us an insane amount to till the yard when neither was necessary. Brad said our walk through gates were just fine and they could complete the job without taking any part of our fence down or making us install a drive through gate. After giving the go ahead, he and his crew were here that following evening prepping our yard and back the next morning installing sod. His crew completed our yard in a day and were very professional. We are very pleased with the completed work and would hire Southwest Landscaping again if we ever needed any work done and have already recommend the company to all my neighbors and friends.

It was supposed to blend into (as much as possible) the outlying lawn that survived the winter. It literally just looks like a messed up tetras board. Owner is slightly annoying with questions he asks as we have answered them on several occasions. Doesn't recall details such as that but can recall exactly how much he charged us to mow the lawn last year...odd. I put in a call to him because he never told us how frequently to water the sod or when we could mow it....no call back. Seems to be desperate looking for money.

After their early July 2024 service, they were scheduled to come out 2 weeks later and never returned. They no longer answered my calls and didn't respond to text messages as Nathaniel had done throughout the engagement previously. They picked up the phone when we called from Al other phone and Nathaniel indicated he had meant to send me a message, apologized to my wife and committed to coming out the next morning. He was paid right away for each of the times he had provided lawn maintenance service. I can't imagine why he would have suddenly stopped but the unprofessional ending to our maintenance agreement leads me to BEWARE of this company. First contact early summer and asked specifically for lawn cut, weed eat & hedges trimmed. Owner…read moreresponded quickly with everyday estimate $55 and would come by for more precise estimate. After a couple days I had to contact him again to see if he'd been out yet for my estimate. He told me he did a "quick drive-by estimate" & it would be $55 for everything I wanted done. Fast forward to when they came out, they cut the grass front & back, whacked about 10% of my property, which is less than a third acre, and blew off the driveway. He sent pictures saying that the job was bigger than he realized and it would be another $55 to come back out and finish. By now it's been over a month and the grass has grown back & the owner sends an employee to finish the job. I see the truck onsite and then gone but hear no work. I went out to see what had been done & they whacked about 5feet of weeds on the side of my garage. I had no contact from the owner and didn't know whether or not they were gonna come back out and finish. After a week or two I reached out and he said as far as he was aware his employee had finished the job and if I wanted him to come out and take a look he would. I gave up at this point and chalked it up to a loss. It took all summer and my yard looks the same as when it started and cost me twice as much. The owner never reached back out to me and doesn't seem very concerned about the quality of work, but I suppose that's shame on me for still going through with the job after my drive by estimate.

I live in Northern Va and took on the role facilitating the rebuild of my parents' home remotely because they are both in their golden years. Southern Leisure Builders and more specifically employee, Paul Andryshak, were a true blessing. Paul Andryshak and his staff went out of their way to completely replace the patio covering on the home and they also went the extra step in referring us to a general contractor that could rebuild the parts of the home which were not in scope for what Southern Leisure Builders focused on. You truly have to respect a company that is going to give your 5-Star quality service and work while at the same time having the integrity to admit where they to do specialize and refer you out to another quality company. I will definitely refer this outstanding company to anyone who is looking to have patio repaired or replaced. The patio on my parents' home is the area where the family gathers when we are all home for holiday occasions and we depend on it to provide comfort from the sun and shade. Southern Leisure Builders recommended that we install a ceiling fan within the patio and we are very happy that we did. The ceiling fan added just the right touch of class to make the patio look amazing as an attachment on the home. Integrity, honesty and fairness with 5-Star work is not often found in once company but you will find it in Southern Leisure Builders.
