Drop Zone Tree Service and Landscaping

We needed a tree removed and other trees trimmed, so I called Drop Zone for an estimate. After…read morewalking my property with me and discussing the project I was requesting, Logan gave me some suggestions. (For instance, I wanted a particular tree removed, but he suggested it could be limbed up and trimmed, which would make it look better and keep it and the surrounding trees healthy.) Drop Zone gave a detailed estimate listing all parts of the project, equipment that would be used, personnel involved, photos of the plants/trees to be trimmed or removed, and of course an estimated price. After getting a couple more estimates from other tree removal companies, it was obvious Drop Zone was the one we should choose, and I am glad we did! The work was professionally done and our property looks so much better. They had the right equipment for trimming four 40' trees, cutting down a tree, removing some scrubby old shrubs, and excavating the root balls. (We want to plant another tree there in the future.) Before they left, the ground was hand raked and made level, sidewalks and the driveway were swept, and no mess was left behind. Afterwards, Jon walked the property with me to show what had been done and to see if we had any questions. All in all, Drop Zone did a fantastic job! I highly recommend them for any tree removal, excavation, and tree trimming needs that you may have. The quality of their work was well worth the price, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Highly recommend for sod installation. After searching…read morearound Jacksonville for a landscaping company and interviewing a few to install sod in my backyard, I came across Southwest Landscaping. I contacted Brad, the owner to come out and give an estimate. He was at my house the next morning, very knowledgable about the preparation, different types of grasses, maintance and the installation process. Why we made the decision to go with Southwest over the other companies, is that Southwest wasn't going to take down part of our fence to install sod or charge us an insane amount to till the yard when neither was necessary. Brad said our walk through gates were just fine and they could complete the job without taking any part of our fence down or making us install a drive through gate. After giving the go ahead, he and his crew were here that following evening prepping our yard and back the next morning installing sod. His crew completed our yard in a day and were very professional. We are very pleased with the completed work and would hire Southwest Landscaping again if we ever needed any work done and have already recommend the company to all my neighbors and friends.

It was supposed to blend into (as much as possible) the outlying lawn that survived the winter. It literally just looks like a messed up tetras board. Owner is slightly annoying with questions he asks as we have answered them on several occasions. Doesn't recall details such as that but can recall exactly how much he charged us to mow the lawn last year...odd. I put in a call to him because he never told us how frequently to water the sod or when we could mow it....no call back. Seems to be desperate looking for money.
