I came in as a model for Taylor and she did such a fantastic job! I asked for her to get me blonder while giving me something low maintenance and she immediately understood and gave me exactly what I wanted. She really took the time and effort to make sure that my hair came out perfect and is clearly passionate about her craft! The photos don't do her work justice, but she definitely is/has already perfected her balayage technique! Also the salon is super nice and uses all Oribe products. They serve still/sparkling water and the chairs even massage you while you're at the bowl! Super luxurious experience and the owner clearly has a lot of expertise. Parking can be tricky, but there's definitely street parking nearby that can be found versus the meters that need to be topped up every hour. read more

I kid you not, that I literally get stopped on the street asking for the name of my colorist. I joke with Amber (one of the owners) that I should just carry her card around. Instead, I happily text total strangers her contact information so they too can have beautiful, natural-looking blond hair. Amber's ability to figure out the best blond each woman should be is an art. She is immensely talented. I have sent numerous girlfriends to her who just don't have the right color (you know the ones!) and even years later, they continue to thank me for changing that god awful orange to hues of golden blond. Kate (the other owner) cuts my hair and is equally as talented. Her schedule is tight because of how good she is but I promise, she is worth the wait! She once gave me a bob that was so beautiful that she had all her clients asking for the same cut. I have very fine hair and I didn't think I could actually like a short cut but Kate made me love my hair like never before. Having said that, she cuts all types of hair. Her range is incredible. Moreover, these two women aren't just talented they are also very cool. Almost every high-end salon I have been in has a sort of negative and gross industry vibe. The Rose Room is unlike anywhere else. As with any great company, the attitude trickles down from the top and it is relaxed and inviting. Rose Room is beautiful space with wonderful and friendly staff. Never pretentious always inviting. I am in my 50's. I have dry curly hair a little bit longer than shoulder length. After Amber does her magic my hair feels great, looks shinny and never brassy. Amber is by far the best colorist I have ever used. Kate does my extentions and cuts my hair when it needs a trim. My hair goes from short to long and thin to thick over night. The extentions look so good that none of my friends, family or strangers have ever guessed that I have extentions. When I tell them they make me prove it. Kate has never damaged my hair from the installation and the maintenance of the extentions. When I give my hair a break from the extentions its strong and well maintained. I have been a client since 2014. This is a quality place with quality people. read more

Been going to this amazing salon for years. The talent of the team is not to be beat! I work with Amber for color/highlights and James as my stylist and they are artists! The salon is so beautiful and calming with a natural feel and green and rose gold colors. Came to RoseRoom with a friend to have our hair colored. The salon has beautiful aesthetics, is clean, and not far from the freeway so easy to get to. Parking is meter only and scarce so had to park far. The stylist Kaylynn and her manager Amber consulted us on what kind of hair color to do and we followed their recommendation. Unfortunately the hair color did not work. It did not cover any white hair, made our dark brown/black hair lighter in some areas, and it got over all of our towels and bedding post the first hair wash. Even when Kaylynn finished, we had hair color all over and in our ears, our neck and spots on our face but we had to ask for cleaner to wipe it off ourselves. Her manager did not come at the end of the session to check and consult. We just paid and left. When I returned in person to try and reach a resolution I was met with a hostile and annoyed tone. Amber is a highly talented colorist who makes my hair natural yet pop with beautiful highlights. We've gone lighter and darker and no matter what we try, it always looks amazing and not streaky or orange (which I've encountered at other places.) Elena is fantastic at cutting my hair and has done beautiful color as well when Amber wasn't available. The salon itself is chic and stylish and you feel great from the moment you walk in. I had a good experience up until recently when I went for a partial balayage. I was originally told the total cost would be $300. During my appointment, it was clear that my stylist (Elena) booked someone else that coincided with me and I sat and waited for 15 minutes at one point for her while she shampooed someone else. She told me that blow dry was not included in the cost of balayage and that she didn't have time to do toner but I could come back at any point once I had a feel for the color and add in the toner if I wanted it a warmer like we had discussed originally. When I called to make the appointment for a toner, they told me it would cost an extra $50, which again I hadn't been told and which doesn't make sense since most people who get a balayage need toner. So $400 total for a partial balayage. When I called a few other places and talked to friends, I was told that a standard partial balayage costs $250 not including tip. I unfortunately will not be returning to this salon. read more
