TEN STARS! I recently visited Imperial Dermatology and am so thankful I found Dr. Hou! I waited too…read morelong to address a skin concern on top of my ear, and to my surprise, I was diagnosed with Basal cell carcinoma... WTF!!!! The front office staff, Marci and Tiffany, were welcoming and transparent about pricing through my insurance. Emily, Lena, and Davina (Medical Staff) provided exceptional support, explaining everything in detail and easing my worries. I'm only 37 and I never thought I would have skin cancer, but they calmed me down. Dr. Hou and her team performed MOHS surgery right in the office just 10 days after my first visit, taking the minimum amount of skin as possible to successfully remove the cancer. They also took care of all the necessary forms and even provided letters to my employer, making the process seamless. When it comes to scary skin stuff, this is the only place I trust! I just can't see how someone can leave a bad review! I received a ton of skin care and sun care swag, and by my second appointment the whole team knew me by name and came in to check on me. BTW they call and confirm your appointment date and time at least twice leading up to any appointment so I don't see how anyone could miss/forget their appointment. They did what they could but told me to contact a dermatologist for further treatment and diagnosis. After multiple offices told me I'd have to wait weeks to months, Renu Dermatology was able to get me in the same week. Dr. Nguyen performed a punch biopsy on my skin, thoroughly explained the lab results to me, and provided the proper treatment. I also got treated here for my eczema. He prescribed medication that gave me the clearest skin I've seen in YEARS. I was finally able to wear clothes I couldn't wear before due to insecurity about my skin's appearance. I eventually ran out of the medication, so my eczema has been gradually returning. I plan on scheduling another appointment. I previously went to my primary care doctor for help with my eczema, but I always felt rushed, had to wait a long time despite having an appointment, the staff weren't very knowledgeable, were rude, the treatment was ineffective, and I was referred to a dermatologist with poor reviews. It ruined my view of seeking dermatologic care until I found Renu Dermatology. Dr. Nguyen and Nurse Vanessa are amazing. Nurse Vanessa was always in the room during my appointments, which made me feel more comfortable. They take their time with appointments, are gentle, listen carefully, and explain things thoroughly. They're punctual as well--I never experienced long wait times here. The office is located in the Martin Luther Medical Plaza with plenty of parking. Many of the offices look similar, so make sure to read the signs carefully.

The doctor was very thorough, polite and listened to me. She ended up removing a few things and sent for biopsy. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable. When I called they did tell me the original doctor both of my friends recommended is not longer there. He's since retired. So this may explain my next part. On the phone u was quoted 120/140. For the visit and if I choose to have a service the upfront appt fee would be applied to my overall services. When I arrived it was a misunderstanding. Apparently the office visit for my service (Skin tag Removal) was separate. The credit applies to Botox and other such injections. ‍. My service including my consultation was about 300. They said they would bill my insurance for the office visit and I would pay 185. Out of pocket. Post service and the removal of the skin tags I did not receive a followup call to see how I was doing. No instructions, I just looked everything up on the web. Today 3 weeks post- I received a bill from their back office in the amount of 748. With a remaining balance of 31.46 for me to pay. This is a complete misrepresentation of cost I was never told the service we be in the area of. 700.. when I called the office they just referred me back to the billing service. This is what makes the cost of insurance so expensive. Over billing!!! No i wouldn't recommend this business.

I'm giving Dr. Park five stars mostly based off of him. His office can sometimes be busy and you…read moremay have to wait a little while to be seen but he is a good doctor. He will be honest and upfront with how he feels about whatever you have going on with your skin. He caught some skin cancer that a previous dermatologist had pretty much laughed me out of his office when I went to see him about it. Dr. Park knew immediately that it was cancer. He will tell you that you can't say anything for certain with skin conditions, but he was pretty spot on with what he thought about the two areas I had biopsied. He referred me to an amazing Mohs procedure doctor. I am a week or so post procedure and doing well. I probably wouldn't be saying that if I had not seen Dr. Park and gotten a great referral. I will also say that the basal carcinoma I had on almost the tip of my nose was fairly large. Although Dr. Park is not a surgeon, he is pretty damn good with a scalpel. When I had my Mohs procedure, the nurse had to have me point out the area since Dr. Park did such a great job of cleanly removing the surface layer of the cancer. It was almost unnoticeable after that. The only negatives to his office are the front office staff seems like they may get a little mixed up from time to time but they are very sweet and try their very best. Things happen in a busy office and Dr. Park's office can be very busy. He is good at what he does so he should have a busy office. The couple things I had an issue with in the front office were that I was scheduled an appointment on one of those smaller holidays that most people don't have off that also turned out to be a holiday for them so I showed up for an appointment on a day they were closed. That should not have happened. Also, I had them mail me something, but it never arrived. I can't say for certain that it was them and not the postal service in my area since I have had issues with them in the past.

Edward was at the door and said oh no the price is $100 over riding Sue's price. This was so unprofessional to shout out a higher price. Once a year they have an "open house." At the last open house they had a raffle drawing. A few days passed and on Instagram Edward draws the names of the winners and just announces the first name. This method of announcing first names only is very deceptive and shady. I will miss going to Sue (PA) because she knows her stuff.
