There were a lot of people milling around in the TV lounge area when we were there. It was around 1:30 p.m. The rooms for the independent and assistant living are not shared. They are spacious and come with a bar area, meaning there is a sink in most of them and a mini fridge. One of them didn't have a sink, but had a mini fridge and freezer. It was pretty tall. All have step up showers meaning there is a lip you have to step into. I was surprised they didn't have roll in showers. The bathrooms are spacious. It looked like there was enough room to wheel in with a wheelchair or walker. The rooms have large closets with built in shelves. The rooms we looked at were not on the first floor and we took an elevator to them. I was told there is a lounge on every floor, at least that's what I think I was told, we did not tour the lounge. The independent and assisted living share a outdoor space. It was nice. It had a community garden, lots of sitting areas, a place to golf and a dog waste disposal system. The outdoors was verynice. The memory care unit also has an outdoor space. It's less then half the size of the other outdoor space, but it's still nice and spacious. It also has a garden in it and they had a bunch of green tomatoes growing that I could see. There was a sign on the door warning of the excess heat outside. It also had plenty of seating areas. The independent and assisted living share a dining area. It looks like a restaurant and they have a menu of what is being served. The same food is served to the Memory Care Unit. All units have activities directors and a whole calendar of activities. The Memory Care Unit has Zumba in the mornings. I think that is nice. It will get them moving. The independent and assisted living have 3 exits to the building and they are free to come and go at any time. They also have an acute care area for those that need additional care, but don't need to be in the memory care unit. We visited the locked down memory care unit. It was very pleasant. It was right after lunch when we arrived and everyone was waiting for ice cream to be served out. They looked like a lively group. One of the women even said hi to us and talked to us. It's the best Memory Care Center that we've visited.

Pleasant dining room and television room 6. Morning activities offered in television room. 7. Easy to communicate with staff. 8. Facility is not too large. The missing star is related only to the size of some of the shared rooms. Not unusual. My elderly family member with quite advanced dementia has been here for over two years. I have visited at least once weekly, and at different times. I've had the opportunity to observe the staff both with him and with other residents. They are unfailingly kind and patient-- and cheerful, too. It's rare in a residential facility (this is his third), and worth everything. Too often a facility looks beautiful, but has awful care. I knew I wanted a small facility so that my mom would get individualized care. The owner, Jackie, was immensely helpful with the process. When I needed proof that my mother did not have TB, Jackie suggested going to urgent care to have a chest x-ray, even sending someone to go with me to help handle my mother so that I could have her admitted that day. In fact, Jackie sends someone to go with me to every doctors appointment since I cannot carry my mom in and out of the car to get her in the wheelchair. The first day they asked for a list of her food likes and dislikes, and tailor her meals to what she feels like eating. They take care of laundry, food, etc. without the nickel & dime extra costs that most other facilities charge. They have large TVs for every room with many streaming options (Disney, Netflix, sports channels, etc.) and were MUCH cheaper than the other facilities I looked into. On holidays and special occasions, Jackie orders a boatload of food for visitors to enjoy while they spend time with loved ones, and has even out of her own pocket bought things for the residents. My mother has received outfits, socks, blankets, Christmas gifts, etc. just because Jackie loves spoiling the residents! She has a very good heart and honestly cares for everyone treating them like family. The staff are attentive and very caring, also treating everyone like family. My mother loves the hugs she gets and feels very loved. That is the best thing about this home - my mother does NOT want to leave this place!

From day one, the caregivers and the owner, Jackie, went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, cared for, and treated with genuine kindness. The home itself is always spotless -- I've never once seen a bit of clutter or trash on the floor. Every visit, the beds were neatly made, and the atmosphere felt calm, organized, and welcoming. One thing I truly appreciated was that visits never required a heads-up -- a reflection of their confidence in maintaining consistently excellent care. The caregivers, especially Rhyle, are compassionate and attentive. They follow each resident's individual routines with care, and a calm and friendly manner. Jackie, the owner, is deeply invested in the well-being of every resident. She's transparent, honest, and clearly motivated by compassion rather than profit -- a refreshing change after our experience with another facility that raised prices without reason. I wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone looking for a safe, nurturing, and genuinely caring environment for their loved one.

Compared to many other places we visited, their service charges are more reasonable--and the best part is that they include more services without adding extra fees. The rent is also more affordable, making it a smart choice for families who want excellent care without the high price tag. We had the pleasure of touring the facility with RJ, the marketing director, who has been working at Landmark Villa for 15 years. Despite her long tenure, she remains genuinely passionate about her work. She took the time to walk us through the entire community, explain every detail clearly, and answer all of our questions with patience and care. Although we ultimately chose another community due to the longer distance from my home, I still feel Landmark Villa would have been a great fit for my mom. If you're looking for a warm, well-managed, and affordable place for your loved one, I highly recommend visiting Landmark Villa as part of your decision-making process.

After the passing of her husband of 27 years, my stepdad, in 2020, things were hard. Mom couldn't live alone anymore. I tried two assisted living homes, but they didn't compare to Landmark. The staff here, from the receptionist to the caretakers to the med techs to the executives overseeing the place, are all wonderful. Every day there is a schedule of activities, from balloon badminton to trivia to bingo. They have tea parties, live music, happy hours. Today when I visited mom activity coordinator Mariah was doing her nails. That is above and beyond in my book. They decorate for every holiday. The lobby, dining room and individual rooms are inviting and bright. The energy is great. Bottom line: I haven't seen my mom this happy in years. And that gives me peace of mind you can't put a price on.

I liked Baywood Court the best because there is no expensive buy-in and the monthly rent is reasonable. From number 16 on the waiting list I was able to move in at mid-February. I have a one-bedroom apartment of 600 square feet facing the pool. It's between two exits so it's very convenient for my dog to go out for his business. Plus there is a half-mile trail inside the facility for his daily walk. I enjoy going through the Rose Garden and the Gazebo along many beautiful flowers and plants. Living at Baywood is like living in a hotel or a cruise ship. There is 24/7 lighting and air conditioning/heat throughout the building. I get weekly house-cleaning, change of bed linens and towels. I just leave my garbage at the door and all the packages I ordered are delivered to me . The two meals a day can be stretched to three because of the many options I can choose. In the one year I have been here, I have not cooked one meal for myself. No more driving to the gym. I just walk down the hall to my Tai Chi, Chair Yoga, and Zumba classes. We also have lots of performance by outside artists and regular health and informational meetings. Just this week we had Martini Monday, Coffee Social, and Tequila Thursday. You can play pool, jigsaw puzzles, Mahjong and many table games at the Game Room. There are also daily drive to shopping and regular visit to museums and scenic areas. Baywwod also has many group activities such as Sunday mass, Thursday Bible study, grief sharing, Spanish class, arts and crafts, movie and sports night, etc. I joined the Knit Wits to make projects for charity. I am the inventory manager and also volunteer as a cashier for our general store called The Cubby. The staff at every Department here are friendly and efficient. I love the community of other residents. The management does such a good job that I was pleasantly surprised when our rent did not go up for this year. Originally, he was at a different facility which was nice but above our budget. After touring Bellara with a friend who was also looking for care for her mother, we decided on Bellara. (A special shout-out to Facility Manager Art Blancas.) A major flaw is the food. You pay for it whether you eat it or not. The few times we tried it meats were vastly overcooked and tasteless.
