It was my first visit to Rosedale Radiology and my first x-ray and ultrasound ever! Located by Sherbourne Station, the clinic is convenient for those heading here by subway. They open at 8:00 am so I was able to get everything done before work. You walk downstairs and there is a bright-lit waiting area. Upon arrival you are immediately greeted and asked for your referral document. It was only a short wait and I was asked to move to a second waiting area. It reminded me of a change room in a department store. Small rooms but everything was medical white. The woman directing me around was very friendly, polite, professional, and presented herself well. She told me which rooms to go to and everything was completely easy. Both technicians were friendly and thorough. This clinic is efficient and everything was done in no time! I needed an urgent ultrasound and called the clinic the same day. They offered me an appointment within two hours, which worked perfectly for me. I arrived early, was registered immediately, and didn't have to wait long. The specialist was very kind, professional, and took the time to answer all of my questions. Next day appointment for an ultrasound-Great!Not long waiting-Great.Pervy ultrasound dude-Bad.Supervisor was running around like a chicken with his head cut off with his phone in hand attempting to keep the whole place together.I was getting a veinular swelling looked at to see if was serious.Technician told me to take my pants off.I was not told to wear a gown.He started putting pressure on my stomach never offering any explanantion since my problem with in my left calf. It was only when I asked then he kind of explained that he had to see if there was ny blood-clotting.When he paused for 10-15 seconds on my left groin under my underwear I started to feel VERY uncomfortable and said ''You are spending too long there!'' , ''Trust me'' he said.''I don't trust anyone.'' I replied'' He kind of laughed and said Ok. When he kind of brushed aginst my penis in my underwear, I said ''Don't!'' Then he started grabbing my leg below where he was scoping aggressively.''Why are you doing that?'' I asked as it hurt whenever he did it.He explained that it was to see blood flow but he should've explained before he did it.I should've asked for a different technician before all this. Then he put too much pressure on the sore swelling below my knee on the red part that was hurting already. Then he said ''All finished,you can wipe the gel off.'' and he threw a bunch of paper towells on my stomach.Then he left the room. Suddendly a few minutes later when I was putting my pants on,he popped his head in...''Do you need any help?'' Then I knew my suspicions about him being sexually abusive were not unfounded...Like why would I need help getting the gel off? Then he came in again and said ''My supervisor wants you to wait and he needs to talk to you'',...so I waited and waited and waited while the supervisor ran round and around.Finally I asked about being seen ...twice and realized I'd have to make an excuse to leave which I did saying I had another appointment.When I called my doctor they said they hadnt got the report yet.So I called Rosedale again and they said it was faxed in but they waould do it again.It turned out it was not serious and was a close the surface swelling and not a deep vein thrombosis. My ultrasound experience was unprofessional and humiliating. I almost left a few times, even after they got started. The technician asked me right off the bat how many children I had, and when I clarified that I don't have children, she asked me if I had been trying. At times she touched my leg as if to ease my pain and discomfort during the procedure. This only made me increasingly uncomfortable. The technician and the doctor were debating and discussing which photos needed to be taken, which gave me little confidence. By the sounds of it, they may have missed something that was time sensitive. read more

Okay, really, can you write a review for the Radiology dept? Here it is, hah! I'm giving this 5 stars, because I've been to a few, and this was my best experience. I was to get one of those tests that involves me drinking 1L of water an hour before and holding my bladder for dear life, as I drove, paid for parking and waddled into the place. They were friendly and made me feel at ease while laughing at me cuz I had to pee. The tech. was a friendly, fabulous man that joked around and totally understood my predicament. With an appointment made for this kind of thing, they were prompt. I've been to places that actually made me wait, while trying to keep my legs crossed. A-holes. I also got an X-ray here. The lady was prompt and curt. It's weird because she was nice, but very abrupt with me. Efficiency - whatever. I'm sure she sees tons of people during the day. There was ample changerooms and washrooms, and clean by any standards. Parking behind the building is a bit expensive - $3.50 for every half hour and a $14 deposit. I didn't want to risk it, if the guy leaves or whatever. right behind is a paid meter parking (with no real obligation to pay or to pay exact), and although the same price, more flexibility. My wife and I were angry after a trip here. I was not allowed to be present during the ultrasound of our baby because the person doing the ultrasound felt uncomfortable due to her religious beliefs. When my wife asked of I could be come in to see the child the woman told her that it was "disturbing" to her to have a man in the room. I went to day for my third U/S for anatomy measurement for my baby. The minute we entered the place the manager/owner of the radiology asked us for the U/S request. My husband was explaining to her that we need the report to be sent to two doctors, she rudely interrupted him saying "let me write it the information". Once we were done with checking in she called my name and toke me to the ultrasound room, we though like a previous time, my husband will accompany me, however, the manager again in a rude way she told my husband " I will take you later" and she rolled her eyes. No explanation was provided to us, that this scan will be different or that after the anatomy measurement my husband can join me to see the baby and hear the heart beat. I went inside and was given a small towel to cover myself. Then the technician came inside, and I asked politely if my husband can join me? she said I do not know. I was upset thinking that I have the right to have my husband with me during this scan, we are looking forward to seeing our baby and hearing her/his heart beats. I told the technician that the manager told me that my husband will be joining me later, all what she said " I don't know, I am not sure". I told her clearly that I want my husband to be with me. While she was doing the scan the manager brought my husband to the room. My husband was being nice and friendly asked the technician how is she. Later my husband commented that the room is bigger than the previous room were we did our second scan, the technician said "shhhhh" I looked at her feeling miserable and frustrated. In the next room we can hear another technician having a friendly chat with a client, trying to comfort her and telling her not to worry. Listening to that converstion I was think why I did not get a nice technician who knows the excitement of being a first time parents. Once the technician completed her measurement, pointed to my husband to come around to see the baby. She started showing us briefly different parts of our baby. My husband asked for gender she said I cannot tell you, the doctor will inform you about that. Then, she said to my husband "don't lean on the desk behind you". That was the tipping point for me, I got up from the scanning table, and told her that I never had a horrible service like this, and that she is rude and disrespectful. My husband explained to her that we came to this place, because of a great service we received before, but it seems to be not the case this time. We went out side, I was in tears that my scan experience and seeing my baby was not great and that these people treated us badly. I wanted to leave, but my husband kept telling me no we will speak to the manager... I new it is waste of time. The manager spoke to us and started explaining that the technician needs quite to do her measures, when I told her she can ask us to be quite like an adults, she did not care about that or even apologize about the unprofessional behaviors of the technician. She started telling us that she will talk to us as long as our conversation is civilized, and she cut the talk short saying that I will arrange another scan for you. I refused to do it... All what I wanted for her to acknowledge our feelings and understand our frustration and apologize for the unprofessional service we received from them. I left the place crying and telling my husband that I was counting the days to see my baby, but this place ruined it. I do not recommend this place, for the bad service we received, for being treated like less than human. The manager and the technician needs to take course on customer service. read more

Had a last minute appointment here for an anatomy scan. Had It not been time sensitive I would not had been at this clinic. First impression of the clinic was the receptionists are very cold, not welcoming. The ultrasound technician was not the friendliest person either. During my ultrasound there was a few things I found very unprofessional compared to other ultrasounds at other clinics. One, the room itself is not private, you can hear what everyone is saying in the room next to you, which is private information. 2) the technician had me scared a couple times saying that my baby isn't moving and I should go walk around the clinic for a few minutes. I understand that this can be common but there are nicer ways to put it and better ways to make your patient be at ease. 3) she brought in another technician who was a tad more pleasant but they were whispering to each other making me feel very uncomfortable and worried, I kept asking if everything was ok and they said yes but not in a assuring matter. I left there feeling very worried and uncomfortable, I will be worried until I get the results and hear from my nurse. I will never return to this office. There are plenty better ones in the city, as long as your not in a time sensitive situation book elsewhere. read more

Incompetence! Not only was the technician cold, terse and fast, she failed to diagnose a nodule that has been growing on my thyroid for 5 years. My endocrinologist was shocked that she was unable to find it and recommended I visit another Diagnostic Imaging clinic. I was not surprised to learn that my nodule is still there and larger than before. How do you miss something like that? Unskillfulness? Incompetence? Neglect? read more

I've had x-rays and ultrasounds done at various places in Toronto, and Rosedale Radiology and Ultrasound is by far the least taxing. The first time I went was on a Monday at around 10, and although I expected a long wait I was in and out within half an hour. About a week later I had to return and again had a very short wait. The technician was slightly abrupt, and I thought a little rough when she was positioning my foot considering I was there because it was broken, but not rude or unpleasant. It's also right across from Sherbourne station, which, while not itself accessible, makes for a mercifully short walk when using crutches or a cane. I don't live anywhere near this place but will definitely return in the unhappy event that I require more x-rays. read more

This facility is as good as it gets! I have been several times and have always been in and out quickly and dealt with professionalism and courtesy. Any service, particularly in the health care industry, but any service, could take lessons from the way this operation performs and delivers. In addition the entire facility is clean, neat and spotless, always. The staff are friendly, personable and respectful. This is a first class service provider. read more

Terrible place. We went here before when it was owned by someone else. The new owners go strictly by the book and are completely unhelpful. This is our 3rd baby and we've been to this location before when it was nice and friendly. It's now become cold and sterile. You walk in there and you feel like you're in a scifi movie. The waiting area is white and black without a dash of color except for a tv that's never on. There is a lady who leads you around the "process" of checking in and you feel more like you're cattle being lead to slaughter. She was very unhelpful and is sure to tell you that there is no way in hell you're going to know the sex of your new baby until talking to the doctor. They even go as far as hiding the monitor from you while doing your ultrasound to prevent you from seeing anything. On top of that, our doctor prescribed us to get some tests done, while the sex of the baby was secondary. The ONLY thing they did was check for the sex baby and did none of the medical tests. We had to go somewhere else to get it done AGAIN. Being our 3rd baby, we've been to a few ultrasound places and this is by far the worst one we've been to. read more
