We popped in here for a hot mocha cappuccino during one of our strolls around Greenwich Village. This shop was nearby after we had exited Central Park. Oasis vibes on a rainy April afternoon and pleasantly surprised to discover this concept of a combination florist with a coffee shop. Genius idea! Interior was cozy with hanging plants, potted plants, and refrigerator cases holding fresh floral arrangements. We also were mesmerized by the florist arranging bouquets at a separate counter while we sat at the coffee bar and observed. Lovely place to relax and take in a peaceful atmosphere. read more

Okay this type of coffee shop is my dream. The idea of being in a place that combines plants, drinking coffee, and a side flower shop is just the best business plan to me! The only thing that could make this better is if they sold books too!! The coffee was good! Not having books is not why I knocked them off stars. It was their customer service. They were not very engaging or helpful. I took the video of the store and I could see two of the staff members whispering about me. At first I wanted to just imagine they were talking about me but they way they were doing it, was obvious they were saying something. To be fair they never approached me but then after I sat down another girl from another table went to take a video of the shop and again they went to whisper but this time they went up to her in front of everyone and told her she could not do that. Mind you this is a very small coffee shop, needless to say she felt embarrassed. I felt mixed about seeing this. I'm like the shop is so nice why wouldn't you want pictures taken of it? Also, if this is your policy why not have signs posted instead of embarrassing the patron in front of everyone in such a small establishment? I can understand this is your policy and it's your business all should respect it but it can just be done in a friendlier way. All in all I would still come back!!! read more

As a florist store, Rosecrans is pretty filled with beautiful booms and hanging foliage. The cafe area is cramped with tiny tables very close to each other. One has to talk softly as otherwise conversation becomes public. Yolande and I came here for an afternoon coffee. We both had cappuccinos. A blueberry muffin accompanied my coffee. All their pastries come from assorted bakeries. This muffin was from Colson. It was well made. This florist cafe serves breakfast and lunch in the form of sandwiches and salads. We stayed for some time and then went to sit in the enclosed park. read more

I had maybe the best matcha in the city here this weekend. Lavender, hot, with macadamia nut milk. Thank me later.

Pretty good. The vibe of this pace is the real draw. Limited seating and NO laptops. read more

Rosecrans is such a cute coffee shop that doubles as a flower shop! It's in the heart of Greenwich village and when I went, it was super busy. Which is to be expected - it's such a cute spot with the most gorgeous flowers. I ordered a dirty chai, grilled cheese, and tomato soup. They had a nice little menu for small eats and plenty of seating inside and outside. I loved, loved, loved being surrounded by flowers - which you can buy! They had quite a selection of bouquets, plants, and succulents. The atmosphere is beautiful, and it is a wonderful place to just grab a small bite with a friend and catch up. And if you just can not get enough of the beautiful flora, there is also a luscious community garden across the street, complete with a koi pond and a few seating areas. read more

Adorable little flower shop and cafe we stumbled on while walking Christopher Street and seeing the Stonewall Inn a couple blocks away. Tea and coffees, small pastries. Adorable little cast iron cafe tables and chairs - signs say no laptops though. read more

I don't frequent this place enough to give a full 5 stars but on that note I have no complaints. Darling space, cozy homey and the Raspberry Hibiscus Tea was to die for! Friendly staff, easy ordering and overall a breathable space read more

Sweet quiet cafe and flower store. No laptops allowed. I highly recommend as a respite from the city outside.

Rosecrans has been on multiple lists as one of NYCs best coffee places, not just for their coffee but for their charm. The interior is beautiful, calming and charming as you are surrounded by plants. You can purchase flowers at the counter at the entrance as well. Iced cappuccino was done excellently- they keep the foam cap despite making it cold! Other places tend not to. You can add any of their syrups to any of their drinks. These include lavender, honey, cinnamon, rose. They also have a selection of teas as well as chai and matcha. read more

Sexiest coffeeshop Ive ever been to. Its a flowershop but I came for the coffee (matcha) and the place is super lush and green. Plants and flowers everywhere some chill music playing and a pretty standard cafe menu. Matcha was fine and standard manhattan price $7 (with oatmilk) read more

I loved this hidden coffee shop. Although the outside is on a busy corner, with the plants inside, you definitely could misinterpret the shop for being only a florist. You walk in, and on your left is active florist with a beautiful case of flowers to make you a custom bouquet. They made me an espresso at the counter and it was absolutely delicious. I sat outside (they have outside seating) and enjoyed my cup of coffee and did some work on my laptop. To my understanding they have food too? Didn't see a food menu (but I came in at 4:30pm). 5/5 experience! read more

Still nice but not amazing anymore. Recently they've removed a lot of the plants that made it a charming and unique spot, added more seats, segregated seating between wine bar/dining and cafe, removed the cafe menu on the wall and the pastries display, increased prices a lot, and showcased the wine on sale. It looks like they are trying to monetize by converting mostly to a wine bar. It's nice for that but not nearly the magical flower-shop/cafe hybrid that it used to be. read more

Very cute plant shop and cafe in one! I didn't try and food or drinks so this is only based on their plants. They have a wide variety available for sale and great pots too. Lots of cute designs and sizes. It's also reasonably priced too which I liked. read more

FOOD/DRINK I only got a drip coffee but I love that they offer an array of all the typical coffee and tea offerings. And they have food too! And they have a drink fridge of Kombucha selection! Hooray gut health. SERVICE: Workers are nice. Order and pickup at counter. Accepts card/Apple Pay. I see one outlet by the front tables. No wifi though and no laptops allowed. ATMOSPHERE: Love the atmosphere primarily, w the space sharing an actual florist, such a great idea. Whole place is cozy and filled w plants and flowers. Also they actually have a restroom! Small circle tables, and with some outdoor seating too. Great corner windows for best people watching of the bustling Greenwich/West Village. Type of people come in for conversations, watercolor paint and doodle, good spot for reading a book. Music is good, it's a relaxed mix of classic rock? But thankfully nothing crazy. Hate it when cafes play obnoxiously loud music. It should be mandatory to play Jazz or equivalent at cafes lol. read more

One of my favorite coffee shops in the West Village. I would recommend to everyone except those who are allergic to flowers given the fact that it doubles as a flower shop & there are flowers (and some succulents) everywhere. There's a few tables available throughout the shop--I was able to find a table right across from the refrigerated section where the flowers are kept. The menu contains not only drinks but also food in case you want a small bite to eat. They take card/Apple Pay, and they'll deliver your food/drinks to your table. You can, of course, get drinks to go though. Overall, a cute/vintage coffee shop that has great floral arrangements and is a lovely place to visit especially on a rainy day. read more

A very cool concept, flower shop and coffee stop combined! Gorgeous interior, I was obsessed and definitely could see myself reading a book and relaxing in the beautiful atmosphere. Unfortunately very small as many places in NYC are so you may not find seating right away or find yourself very cramped. The barista was also not very friendly and I really really did not like my $8 chaga latte, I would highly recommend to NOT get that drink. I'm sure the other drinks are great, just not that one lol. read more

My friend and I passed this place on our way to lunch and we decided to come here afterwards because the sight of the plants caught our eye and how pretty it looked from the outside. We came back around 6pm for some drinks and when we went inside, the set up was honestly so beautiful and all the flowers and plants they had was so complimenting. I definitely would recommend this place if you wanted to take some nice pictures with a background of flowers. The staff members there were so helpful and nice as well! We ordered a hot cider and an earl grey lavender tea. The earl grey lavender tea was surprisingly refreshing and you could taste both the earl grey and lavender distinctly. I definitely loved this drink and it was perfect for how cold it was outside. The hot cider was super good and flavorful with just the right amount of sweetness. The drinks came super quick and it was really hot when it was given to us. The only thing stopping this review from being 5 stars was that there really wasn't any seating inside for us to seat in and keep warm on this cold day and to sit down and chat. However, we were able to sit outside for a little bit before leaving and the drinks kept us pretty warm. But overall, this place had a variety of drinks to offer and the place was so pretty that I would come by again for its atmosphere and drinks! read more

Randomly walked into Rosecrans this afternoon. GENIUS concept to hybrid a coffee house and a florist - synergistic perfection in my opinion. I ordered a matcha late with oat milk and it was fine. 2 things to note (not necessarily cons): first, be aware that seating room is limited. Second, this is a laptop free space. Service is on the more relaxed end of the spectrum, so this is not the place to stop by for your morning cup of coffee when you're late to work. Hidden gem for sure! read more

Adorable cafe and floral / plant shop. But unlike other similar vibes in the city, this place actually has fantastic coffee. I've also grabbed iced teas, lemonades and random treats on occasion and have never been disappointed. They usually have a gluten free option or two in their baked goods case too, which is nice. I've also had pretty good success keeping their plants alive with their team's solid instructions and help. A truly lovely spot to take a breather or meet a friend to catch up. read more

The right village-style ambience. It's perfectly situated with Jefferson Market Library and the public garden. Great coffee and florist. Their music selection does not match with their beautiful space. Yet, it's understandable, if they want to discourage freelancers from turning the space into freelancers' personal work space. read more

This is a review for the florist part only. I am all for supporting local businesses over big stores, but it's hard to justify when the product simply doesn't last. On Sunday I bought a $65 bouquet from Rosecrans (came out to over $80 with tip). It's Wednesday morning and the entire bouquet is wilting. My home is a decent temperature and I've changed the water. Also on Sunday, a friend of mine bought me flowers from Trader Joes and they are lovely. They look much better and -- I know from experience frequently buying TJ's flowers -- are less than a quarter of the price. I guess I was naive to think that paying more for nice flowers would have them last longer. Honestly, go to the TJ's down the street, take the plastic off, wrap them in paper and you are good to go. read more

Cute place, coffee was good, but the service is very slow. The tables are also very close to each other so if you come in when it's busy like on a rainy day in the afternoon, it feels a little claustrophobic with people on both sides of your elbows, but I assume more enjoyable when it's not as busy. They also have a no laptop rule so keep that in mind. A fine place to stop by if in the area. read more

One of my favorite coffee spots on the west side... Rosecrans is the perfect place for a catch up with a friend, taking in the scenery, and.... picking up your next plant child. Here's what you need to know: 1. The coffee is on the pricier side... but will absolutely give you the caffeine kick that you need. It's one of the best coffees you can get in the area. 2. If you're an Ad Hoc food lover, you can also get the creations here. 3. The plants inside!!! There's an array of greenery that you can get here to suit any of your needs (and an amazing selection of beautiful flowers). 4. You can also look into purchasing some of the cute antique items. Overall, Rosecrans is one of the best coffee shops you can go to in the city. read more

I've been here a couple times for the coffee. I only ordered a cold brew and it was pretty good, but had a lot of ice for the price. They don't have soy or almond milk here, but they offer oat, macadamia, and many other non-diary alternatives. It's a tight squeeze in there with the floral sales going on. There are a couple seats inside and a couple small tables outside. They have some pastries available for purchase, I'm sure the earlier in the day the better. It was slim pickings after 4:30pm. The staff was fine and friendly enough. read more

Every time I walked past this store, I thought it was just a plant shop. And then I saw a very clear sign that said coffee beer wine, so I came inside and viola. A coffee shop that sells plants I've seen a few of these kind of coffee shops in Brooklyn, but not on this side of town until this place. It's gorgeous. To me, plants = aesthetics so it was just a nice space to be in. The scenery is what bumped this place from a 3 to a 4. The coffee was OKAY. Not the best latte but not the worst either. They have a bathroom which is a plus, especially for a small space like this. The people behind the bar were funny and kind. I'd come back on a different day and give em another shot. Maybe order a matcha instead. Laptop free space inside. No wifi. Plenty of seating outside. Food was hella small in portion relative to price tag so got coffee here & then for a dollar slice across the street Balance. 6.5/10 because of aesthetics vibe and convenience. read more

Don't come here if you're looking to bring your laptop and want to pay for overpriced, average coffee. Paid for something overpriced for the taste and was asked to leave for bringing my laptop out. Rosencrans is a beautiful place but unfortunately the staff can be very rude. Tried Joe and Jack's nearby too and have a preference for Joe.

This is a really beautiful and aesthetic cafe that also is a florist! They have really beautiful plants that can be purchased. Right now they only have takeaway and outdoor dining. Location: Greenwich area where alot of good restaurants are located. Hipstery, hot place near Washington Square, NYU campus. Ambiance: Feels like you are in the movie, in the middle of the city flower shop. Surrounded by flowers and plants is definitely romantic and artsy vibe Food: I ordered matcha oat latte and it tasted good. Nothing super special but wasn't bad and the price was average Service: so I would have given this place 5/5 but everything was perfect but the service was not so great. I get it it's popular and they don't want you to stay long and it gets busy but still the service could definately be better and I would give 3/5 for service Tip: if you come here, good luck with finding your seat !
