Had an outpatient procedure performed here a few days ago. Outside of the nightmarish possibility of being charged X-thousand dollars for having an assistant not be "in-network" (yes, that DOES HAPPEN!), and therefore if you're intelligent, you are verifying that EVERYONE involved is in-network -- and the fact I had a multiple phone-call circus to determine that fact *15 minutes before my procedure*...everything and everyone here was top notch. The weakest point was the admissions desk, where I was not able to find the answers I wanted and was politely, but nevertheless it happened, kind of given the runaround and told to call my insurance provider. Why isn't ALL of that information about my operation *pre-existing in your computer system*? *shakes head* Anxiety heightening.
Other than THAT, the nurses, my anesthesiologist, the other assistants and my doctor were all top-notch...my routine procedure was just that; routine. I'm also a BIIIIIIIG fan of propofol; look this up if you're getting sent under the waves. It's a lot quicker in-and-out of your system, AND fewer side effects, than Versed/fentanyl. I woke up feeling like I had caught up on some sleep...10 mins after coming out of it, was dressed and standing on my feet, even though a wheelchair was offered. Quick, efficient, in and out, *smooth*. I haven't had a surgical procedure that requires anesthesia for 20 years before this visit; I will not worry about my next visit if I come here and if I get that med. ;) read more
