It's dirty looking with outdated buildings, without a parking lot for parents or visitors. My wife and I had issues with the second grade teacher Ms. J. She would scream at the children and make fun of my daughter's face because of the way she rose her hand (she said she thought my daughter had a medical condition) how condescending. When brought to the principal who looks just like Pitbull he didn't think it was enough to switch to a different teacher because my daughter would not speak up. My daughter was terribly afraid of that teacher and did not want to suffer any consequences from her. We decided it was not a place to get a proper education at it's minimum and enrolled at a private school. They did not respect our daughter's feelings. Also it feels like you're in downtown L.A. with allowing cars with loud music and loud bass to drive through there. I mean how horrible is that?!! It's an elementary school! They need a police officer to be parked there when school starts and when school is dismissed. That's it. Bad school.

I've worked at lots of schools, and I've seen how, over the years, this school has had a difficult time working with kids who are non-verbal. I haven't seen much progress in particular kids and it has been 3 years of them being there. I think there are other schools that have more staff who can maybe help more in severe cases. If your kid is okay in group classes, though, in general ed or special Ed, then this school is fine.

Do not ever hesitate to send your child here, all the teacher are kind, smart, and resourceful. They are always here to help. And the school campus is awesome with a great grassy field, big basketball courts and swing sets for little kids! The school is very clean and the library has a beautiful wide selection of all books! Students are well behaved and there aren't any fights at this school!

North Broadway is a California public elementary school, which means very large class sizes and a curriculum that's focused only on getting a high school diploma. If you're looking for future college admissions, you're probably going to have to enroll your kids into a private school or charter school.. Teachers are fine but are completely overwhelmed. Often, problem children are kept in a classroom, and teachers have to deal with them along with 30 other students. Tip - Don't procrastinate on getting your kids on a waiting list for a Charter School. You don't want to send your kids to Rincon Middle School (that's where they'll be assigned after North Broadway).
