In 2015, I unfortunately wound up here for (what should have been) a simple, SMALL (this is important), filling replacement. Dr. Rose and his staff were pushing teeth implants pretty hard and highly suggested I would want to consider this. Implants, which are usually a last resort for a tooth in poor condition which is not able to be saved, are an arduous process to implant and in the area of $4,000 IF things go well. I said "no way" and he just replaced my filling, emphasizing I should still consider an implant.
I had intense pain with the tooth in which he replaced the filling -- pain to the point of writhing on the floor and vomiting. I have never experienced pain on that level. I returned to question him about it. He said the tooth was FINE and I must have another problem.
I have lived with this for the last 3 years, scared to go back and have another dentist mangle my tooth or potentially more.
Fast forward to today, when I have been fortunate to be introduced to one of the top dentists in this country. He went in to replace the filling. Problem 1) the filling was loose (and had been probably since the beginning based on my symptoms). 2) the tooth has been infected for most of the time Dr. Rose's filling has been in my head. 3) Dr. Rose used a PREP for a filling to fill the tooth and did not use the actual filler material to finish the job. 4) My new dentist said he has never, in all his years of practice, seen a tooth that was as massacred as mine. Dr. Rose hacked the tooth away roughly and very deeply, barely leaving any tooth, and mostly filling it with prep material.
My belief is that Dr. Rose was prepping me in his own way to be forced into getting an implant. In his ignorance and greed, he disregarded my health and actual needs.
This has been expensive, painful, and has created a number of health problems due to having a tooth which was constantly holding an infection my body was trying to fight. None of this should have happened and would not have happened if Dr. Rose was an honest dentist who truly cares about the people he sees, instead of seeing another mouth full of dollar signs.
The story hopefully ends here. I had a root canal today and am getting a crown in several weeks to finish fixing what Dr. Rose completely screwed up. My new dentist almost can't believe someone would be so unethical. Almost. My new dentist has been in practice a long time.
I tell my story because I am afraid I am not the only one. Don't be Dr. Rose's next victim! Go somewhere else!!! read more
