When the doctor (Efrain) noticed this, he explained the only other option would be dilation. I continued to ask questions out of curiosity (as I did not want my child's eyes dilated) and Efrain condescendingly asked, "Are we really talking about $39?" (trying to shame me for questioning his optional fee) I respond... Efrain gets louder and makes comments about my kid not being able to hold still. At this point, I decide to not continue the appointment in which Efrain storms out and slams my kids file on the receptionist's desk and stares us down as we leave the office. 100% do not recommend. It was a degrading experience to say the least.

His staff was also kind throughout my ordeal of getting contacts. However, I'm not sure I'll be coming back to EyeCare of Bonita. I was consistently expected to come by the office in the middle of my work day- to pick up trials and prescriptions and my order. This was inconsiderate of my work schedule (I'm a professional and that was written in my paperwork) and honestly super unrealistic. Thankfully my husband has an unusual work schedule and could pick things up for me. After I left a negative review, accommodations were made so I could be emailed a prescription. That should not have had to happen. I'm not sure if it was because I'm a woman or because I'm young? But it overall felt disrespectful. I understand the contacts that irritated my eyes were not "cheap" but I was frustrated. I do not believe my contacts were ordered the day I requested them, and when they were ordered, they were on back order. I was worried I wouldn't get my order for months because there was no shipping estimate. It took two full weeks from my appointment to get the contacts. In my past experience, it took just a few days. So, overall this experience was tough. I was struggling wearing old prescription glasses, and really felt like the office was lacking in compassion and understanding. No accountability has been taken. But I got my contacts. So updating to 3 stars.

I recently received a pair of prescription glasses, but unfortunately, the prescription was incorrect. I had to return them to be fixed, which was already inconvenient. What was more disappointing was that I was asked to pay additional fees for their mistake, and no apology was ever offered. Today, I received a text that my glasses were ready for pickup. I called to schedule a pickup, but the receptionist placed me on hold for 15 minutes, only to tell me that there were no available appointments and that I would need to wait another two days just to pick up my glasses. To make matters worse, the receptionist was very rude and ended the call abruptly without any courtesy. After being a long-time customer, this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope the management addresses both the service quality and customer care moving forward.
