I had a great experience here once before, i only needed an eyebrow wax and the lady did it perfectly!! The second time i came i needed a pedicure, along with an ombre style acrylic set. It was my first time getting the ombre style and when i showed phillip the picture, he was clearly already in a bad mood or had an attitude. I was confused by his question when he asked which colors i wanted after showing him the color in the picture. I guess with the ombre style, u need more than one color. I at first didnt understand and i said i want the orange color thats in the picture. With an attitude he said, no, you need to choose other colors too. After the confusion i was asked to sit in the pedicure chair. Phillip painted my toes and did my ombre style nails, he seemed more chipper because he probably realized how rude he was before. Just moved to St Augustine haven't had my feet done in a while so today I decided to get them done. I came in and asked the price she told me and then I was seated. The lady ran the water and I put my feet in the plastic back was being sucked in the jets so she took the liner out and told me to put my feet in there. I was hesitant due to the fact I open the liner cause places aren't very clean. Then she start working in my feet barely touching barely clipping. She gave me a good leg massage. My feel looked just like they did when I came in except they are pink now. So while I was drying I asked that someone come so I could speak to them about my feet. So the girl yells across the room what is the problem. I told her I would rather no yell across the room have someone come over. So she rolls her eyes and comes over. I said can these not be cleaned up a little more they look like they did when I came. She asked who did them I showed her the she said ohhhhh. Tells one of the guys the tall one who yells while in the phone. He comes over looks at them and she cut the cuticles. I said they need to be cleaned up around he nail bed and all the cuticles were not cut. Then he said well what do you want she cut the cuticles. What I want is to have my feet looking like someone else did them other than myself. I do a better job than this. Never going back they may do others well but they didn't for me. Very disappointed. I decided to go here after a friend recommended it to me. She said they were fairly cheap for acrylic nails so I called and booked an appointment for 2 o'clock. They didn't know who my appointment was with and they didn't tell me I name when I called. They seem to always be in a rush. I arrived 5 minutes early and didn't end up being sat down until 2:25. I feel like they rushed threw my nails and it ended up being $40 because they charge $17 for gel. That's the most expensive I've ever seen just for gel. In the end, their price is good without gel but with gel is over priced for how quick they rushed through my nails and the fact that I waited 30 minutes when I had an appointment. I also just noticed that there are little white spots under the gel top coat on one of my nails. I won't be coming back. read more

I'm honestly not sure the man who did my nails was ever trained to do nails. He was so rough with my manicure that my fingers hurt a lot after. He got polish all over my fingers and used the clipper to get it off, even after I asked him not to. The painting doesn't look terrible but my fingers look jagged after the manicure and the clipping. We should have gone with our first impression. As we walked up we had to pass through an employee's smoke screen. Nasty. After her cigarette break she came in to check us in...as she sat in a pedicure chair on her phone, she mumbled where we could sit. The salon is creepily outdated. Not just in appearances but also thread bare towels and worn out chairs. The worst part though were the employees! I work in an industry that requires my nails and toes to be photographed regularly and have come in before shoots with some pretty extreme requests. How is this place still in business? Absolutely the worst nail salon and service I have witnessed. First, the line was out the door (as they are the only one open on Sunday) and no one knew what was going on. Luckily, I was getting a pedicure so he told me to go sit down on the chair. I sat there awkwardly with no water, not knowing what to do, for about 20 Minutes while in the meantime no one else had been helped. They were barking at customers, telling them what to do with rude attitudes. Also, the nail tech in the front was yelling back in forth to her child in the very back. It was very uncomfortable the whole time. I would not recommend and definitely will never be back. Walked in today, very trepidatious as I have not found a single nail salon in the St. Augustine/Palm Coast area that I like. This small salon, ideally situated on Highway 1 was awesome! The owner cheerfully greeted each new patron, and many by first name. After choosing my nail polish color, I was immediately seated and got probably the best pedicure ever with what seemed like an unending foot massage. The nail tech then gave me one of the best manicures ever. I was very impressed. The owner spoke to many patrons asking about thier children, etc. It is obvious that the owner is invested and part of the community, and he has a new client, due to the excellent service and wonderful customer service I witnessed! read more

I usually go to a salon that is 30 minutes from my house. I chose to try here because they are 5 minutes away and I had a full day of errands. I WILL BE DRIVING THE 30 MINUTES FROM NOW ON! Man was rough while doing my nails. First thing I told him when I sat down was to be careful on my thumb because the nail broke in the middle and I even showed him, he then took out the mechanic buffer and used it on that nail while I wasn't looking and pulled up the nail. Hurt so bad, I should've just walked out right then. Then the other man was working on another woman's nails behind us, there were probably 6 customers in there at that time and his cell phone rang and he answered it and put it on speaker and had a full conversation, loudly and was using profanity. I know it's very stereotypical to assume that people who work in salons are talking about you when the speak their language, but when the man walked passed my station he looked at me and said something and then my guy looked up at me and said something back. My wife just called me in tears regarding this place. She told me that she went into this place to get a fill in, and was greeted by the so called manager. He told her that they were "lifting" and that they needed to be pulled off and re-done. She told him that she didn't want to spend the money right now and that she would come back later. He asked her who done them, and She told him a different a nail salon, and he started cutting the nail off immediately afterwards. She told him to stop, but it was too late and she told him to just take them off afterwards. He removed them without her permission, once he found out that they were put on by another salon. The nails had only been one for one week. I called to talk to the manager, and a very rude man with an accent answered, and kept saying "What you want"? Every time I asked for a a manager, I got the same response. This went on three or four times. He finally said, after myself catching an attitude, I am the manager, you should have not been stupid when I asked you what you wanted. I explained the situation and he immediately told me my wife was a liar. I told him that I was obviously going to believe my wife over some random person, and he called me stupid again. I told him that I wanted the nails redone at no cost. That was the least he could do for removing them without permission. He told me that he was tired of "you people" always wanting something for free and that he was not doing them again without charge. He said he had cameras to prove his story, but no audio. He told me to bring my wife and myself and we could review the cameras with him, but that is all he was willing to do. I did a conference call with my wife and the "manager" and she told him that is not what he said. He told us that he was the boss, and that there was nothing I could do. I advised that I would be contacting the BBB and social media reviews, and he told me that he didn't care, that he didn't need them. To top it all off, he charged her $10 to remove the nails she didn't want removed in the first place. I had a horrible experience at Rose Nails. To start, I never write negative reviews, but I could not let this slide. If I could give no stars, I would. Even if the quality of my manicure and pedicure was great, the experience was horrible at best which made the above obsolete. The girl doing my pedicure talked to another co-worker (who was sitting in an empty chair next to me getting a massage) about everything that could ever be possibly considered inappropriate under the sun. As someone who is generally shy, I was extremely uncomfortable and mortified. They talked critically about sexual orientation, pregnancy, weed, how much money they need to make that day so they could go drinking that night, looked at pictures on each other's phones, harshly gossiped, texted in front on me, swore profusely, and overly discussed their personal lives. Even though the prices were good and the pedicure was decent, the lack of professionalism is absolutely uncalled for. Horrible service. This place was the worst nail experience I have ever had. I visited this salon on my birthday. My friend got her toes done and she had nail polish all over her feet. The lady had to redo her big toes. The paint job was the worst I have ever seen. I had a full set put on, the lady told me the reason she didn't push back my cuticles because I paid for a full set not a manicure, even though I was paying more then the manicure. Today,I said good bye to my favorite nail tech of 3 years due to the total disrespect that I received from the owners in law. He has always been loud ,rude ,ignorant, obnoxious, and disrespectful in the past to other customers and myself ,but since he doesn't do my nails I usually just ignore him. Today however ,he came at me in full attack mode because I came back for a repolish because the color wasn't what I expected once it dried and I didn't like how the white looked so dingy. I had my nails done yesterday and I had to let another tech so them which is no problem because they all do a great job as I was explaining this to my normal tech he burst in to a rage and went in to a made up frenzy about me "always complaining" which is so unsure. And I tip every time. I have never been so insulted by a nail tech,hair dresser ,makeup artist etc for saying " I don't like it lets try something else " It was literally a reality show scene that I did not sign up for . The catch is the tech who did my nails yesterday was his wife and I'm assuming he felt offended (and it showed ) which was so unnecessary if he would have just listened. But like i said he's overly loud and he thinks he's super funny and so he's always attempting to crack jokes which no one understands and makes fun of customers . I had an extremely difficult time making appointments unless I make it so that I can be worked on by any nail technician but I am very particular about my nails. My Mom and I had gel mani/pedi's last weekend. The staff was all over the place. After my Mom's pedicure they sat her back in the waiting area for about 10 minutes until she reminded them she had asked for a manicure also; they moved her to a seat right away but had to wait again for them to circle back around to her in the rotation. (what in the world?) We wrote it off as them just being busy, but weren't extremely satisfied with the quality when we left either. My color looked a bit off and the gel edges were messy on my Mom's hands. Again, we wrote it off - at least we could check getting our nails done off of our list of todo's for the week. That is until after I took a shower that night. My gel polish smudged off like wet paint! It didn't peel completely off, it looked more like multi layers of actual wet paint with deep smudge marks down to the nail. Crazy! I had to soak off three of the ten fingers completely. I went to another salon the next day to get them fixed and the staff said the only thing that could've caused this was old polish combined with bad service. read more
