Disappointing experience... The gel removal process was very painful here. Rather than soak the gel polish off he decided to drill it all off and take the top layer of my nails with it. I then requested my toe nails to be cut very short. I have had spinal surgery and can no longer cut them as often as I would like so I want them very short when I come in for a pedi. He proceeded to argue with me and say he can't cut them shorter. This is the first time I've been to a nail salon that my request was completely ignored and declined. If you are looking for a relaxing experience this is not it. read more

The place is clean but their service is TERRIBLE. They can't do eye brows, pedicures, or manicures good. The one lady was rude and when I asked her to fix the service she provided because I wasn't satisfied she went on and started the next client. Let me begin by saying it's a clean and friendly spot. It's the only place I've liked after trying many in the pittston area. Today I was MAD. I did not like the pedicure I got because it was not thorough, it was a slop, but also my fault for not knowing the worker. I stand by going to the man who is the manager here. He saw the mistakes and made it right. Now I'm leaving happy. Please don't expect these places to give you a European style pedicure where they truly take their time and make your toes and feet look and feel heavenly. That really only happens in big cities and for cheaper. However, if only you saw the before pic . I recommend this place so far out of all the others. Please make sure as they are doing the work- that they are taking their time. When I told the woman it was not ok she started to become aggressive and it got weird. I took my mother to Rose nails yesterday. They treated her so kind and were very gentle and accommodating. I had a fill and she had a pedicure and nail dip. My mother has very tough your nails and they made sure to keep asking her if she was feeling any pain. They also gave her special additives for only a few dollars. She said it was such a relaxing experience she could have fallen asleep. We've been to another nail salon but nothing like Rose! This will be our nail salon from now on. I've been there twice now. First time I had a woman who did an amazing job. The second time, the man who I believe was the owner did my nails and it's the worst fill I've ever had. There's nail polish smeared all over my cuticles and he cut three of my fingers. Less than a week later, there is chips in everyone of my nails and a huge chuck missing out of one which has NEVER happened to me with gel over acrylic. I will never return to this salon. read more

They take their time with you, give you your own box of things (file, etc) to use each time you come, and have seriously endless colors. I could not give this place a better review. Worst nail place I've ever been to in my life. The guy working on my nails was so rough on them, he made them bleed. He didn't even do the right procedure for my nails. Didn't even file my nails down nor did he clean them right. He just clipped them, put glue down, and applied the acrylic. I'm PISSED!!! They also overcharge for a sh*tty ass excuse of a pedicure. Really not much to say about this place. I think this was one of the most painful nail experiences I have had. I left out of there with a very deep painful gash on my right hand. At first the male nail technician tried to act as though he didn't see it until I kept looking at it and only then did he acknowledge it and say oh sorry. The lest that he could have done was take something off the cost of the services. Overall it was an ok experience I have had better. I've been to 3 nail salons in the area and have to say I'm disappointed in myself for the first review I posted. At first I was a bit upset that I made an appointment and was overlooked by the walk ins. I made an appointment for my sister and I since we were having a girls day getting her ready for her semi formal the next day. But in comparison to nail salons in the area who charge the exact same, I would go back again to Rose Nails and plan on doing so from now on. They are friendly, and SANITARY, which is super important to stop the spread of infection. They did a great job and they even threw in a free lotion for you to bring home with you. They also are pretty quick, even though the appointment got messed up and we had to wait. Please give them a try if your in the area and looking to freshen up your nails! read more

DO NOT COME HERE. If I could leave a 0 star rating I would. Worst eyebrow waxing I have ever had done. The lady that did my brows left chunks of wax on my skin, did not smooth out the paper before pulling, and pulled EXTREMELY SLOW. YOU DO NOT PULL THE STRIP SLOW WHEN IT COMES TO WAX. There is also still bits of hair left all around from where she missed due to pulling the wrong way on the strip. She was mocking me for the tears that surfaced from the pain. I also asked not to have my brows shaped, since they had a natural arch and I liked their thickness already. She shaped my brows into these VERY THIN messes, and my arch is non existent now. They are also very uneven. She also put citrus oil on my face to soothe the redness, which I am highly allergic to, instead of aloe. My face is on fire and the skin around my brows is puffy and very red. I am VERY pissed, and will never come back ever again. I am going to tell everyone I know to boycott this place. read more

Tried this nail salon on a recommendation from my mother because my normal salon closed and I am disappointed. The salon is new, clean and professional looking but the staff made me uncomfortable. I went in for a manicure and pedicure (regular polish, no gel) and the pedicure started fine. The gentleman working with me did a decent job at first but when he asked about my manicure and I explained I don't like gel bc it stays on too long for my liking, another technician came over and began to try to up-sell me to a powder manicure bc it's healthier for my nails. I explained over and over again that I don't want something that will be on my nails for weeks and weeks. I only wanted something temporary and for them to clean up my cuticles. Finally, they got the hint (after about 10 minutes) and the guy I was working with finished up my pedicure (which felt short compared to the time I saw another female technician spending on the customer next to me) and sent me to his table. After that, my service felt rushed and of lesser quality. He trimmed my nails and then before applying polish told me I needed to pay before he continued (which I found very odd) but I paid and tipped him and then he continued with the polish and top coat and said I could leave in a few minutes. I understand you want your customers to spend more money, but you should not ignore their intentions in your sales pitch. He didn't even put lotion on my hands afterward. I don't want this review to deter people from trying the salon bc the other technicians seemed to be very pleasant, but just be aware of what you might experience. read more

The pedicure was amazing. Waited an hour but they were busy. Waited after for a manicure. Cut my cuticles and skin, bled all over. Had to have my nails redone 4x because my nail tech kept messing up a French gel manicure. Took 4 hours and I'm still not happy with the manicure I got. Could've done it better myself. read more

First time I visited Rose Nails I was talked into getting the powder/dip, more money of course. The shade I picked was supposed to be tan, after Trin put the powder on, remind you I never used the dip before. I noticed the color looked like a gross pea soup green. I assumed that's what the dip looks like before it's finished. Well... as she continued to "dip" my nails over and over again. They began to thicken to these huge monster nails! I again thought this was the process from the dip? Once she finally finished my faced alone told her "what the hell?" Outside of the almost 2 inch thickness, the color was hideous! I didn't like anything about the dip stuff but willing to deal with it, and never get it again! As for the color "hell no!" Trin continued to tell me that's the color I picked, finally after several disagreements with her and the other staff including the owner they went and got the color to show me and they discovered the top was on the wrong bottle!!! They told I would have to wait about a hour before someone would be able to change my polish. Absolutely not! Your mistake I wasn't and couldn't wait that amount time. Finally they took me right away and I told them to take the powder/dip stuff off, and give me the gel as I originally asked for. With everything that happened they apologized, so this made me decide to give them a second chance. I went today... Trin would not look at me and refused to do my nails. That is absolutely no problem for me. The owner did my nails. He was so rough and half assed! When he got my box I told him it looks like they wrote "ASS" on it! He laughed? Joke? He rushed me and continued to snatch my hands. The file in my box look like it was used, often. He didn't give time for my gell to cure under the light and when I gave him my card to pay he slammed it on the counter, while I held my hand out for it. Therefore I slammed his tip on the counter just the same. He walked away, I said I guess you don't want your tip took it back and left. I went to the store in the same area when I left the nail polar. As I was shopping my nails were snagging everything I touched. I looked at them closely and noticed how crappy a job he did! I went right to the nail polar. I ask to speak to him quietly, and I tried to tell him how unsatisfied I am with his work, he said "I don't know what you're talking about", he continued to over talk me and embarrassed me. He grab a file to file my nails down and I snatched my hands back because I didn't want him to mess up the polish. He spoke in his language to one of the staff and she came over and grab my hands, both telling me they don't know what I was talking about. I let him file them, he did not polish them over. He said he is the owner but did not give me his name. I was so embarrassed especially when kept making me repeat the color of the nail polish as if the first visit was my fault! Didn't seem interested when I said I wanted the basic pedi. The girl barely filed my nails or cut my cuticles. Rushed thru my pedi. Keep looking around at the other people coming in. Polish was okay. And there are not a lot of colors to choose from. I don't want to be there hours but at least give me some service.....so rushed. Would not come back. I thought I'd treat myself to a mani/pedi on a Sunday, and my usual place was closed. I thought this place looked nice and clean, so I thought I'd give it a try. I just wanted a $35 mani/pedi. The person doing my pedi pushed and pushed a gel polish until I finally gave in. $85 later, I could have done a better french mani myself - the white tips are way too big and crooked. Is there any possible way to give this minus stars ? This was probably one of the best nail salons in our area when it first opened . Unbelievably gracious service , truly wonderful manicures . The pedicures were absolutely amazing with a lot of detail on your feet and nails . Additionally it was extremely clean . I love the idea of the plastic covers in the soaker tubs . We had been patronizing this place at least every 6 weeks . The past 6 to 8 months we started to notice a decline in everything . The staff was less friendly and accommodating , they started rushing thru the manicures and pedicures & the manis & pedis we're getting very sloppy . Fast forward to 3 weeks ago . Got a call from a friend who got a manicure from Rose Nails . She went into detail about how rude the staff was & then texted pictures of her nails . They looked like a child painted them . Then she started to get a fungus growth on top of the polish !!!!!! Ok , so we decide to give it one last try after that just the same. Never ever , ever again . We went in for pedicures . The two women working on our pedis neither spoke nor looked at us even once . We both asked to please have our nails cut down & they acted like they didn't hear us . We asked again and were again ignored . They rushed us thru like an assembly line and the two pedis only took about 20 minutes from start to finish . The instruments were not cleaned after use just wiped off and thrown in a drawer . No callous treatments , a warm damp washcloth literally thrown on our legs and instantly removed . Crooked & cracked nails from then trying to file them instead of cutting them down , polish missed in spots on several nails , no cuticles removed . Now want to hear the good part ??? The one technician cut , yes I said cut the skin with an Emory board ( which was previously used an another person ) The cut was along the side of the nail , became infected & needed antibiotics and a trip to the doctor . So I did some research and I learned that every single person that is actively working in that salon must have completed so many hours of training ( 6 to 8 months ) and must be licensed . It is my opinion that most of the people working here are not trained or licensed . I have not seen licenses displayed for everyone working . That scares me . So here's my question : what happened to the Rose nails that treated their customers like gold , gave the best manis and pedis in the area & made you feel like you got your money's worth? So many complaints even on Facebook about this place . Rose Nails , you won't get my business ever again . I work hard for my money & neither I nor anyone else should be subjected to your arrogant rude and nasty technicians , should not be subjected to having tools used on them that weren't properly sterilized or weren't cleaned at all from previous patrons , and no one should EVER get an infection that requires Doctors visits & antibiotics . Goodbye to Rose nails , you'll never see my money again & from what I've been reading on social media you won't be seeing a lot of other people's money either . read more
