There is a cost associated to this level of service, but given the current healthcare climate, I think it is money well spent. This allows Dr. Smith to actually know what ailments you might have or how to maintain or improve your health. With the MDVIP program, Dr. Smith has an opportunity to know your name and your comprehensive health history, not just reading your chart. This is a very custom approach to medicine that you don't see in most doctors offices. The wait to see Dr. Smith is usually very short. If you call to set up an appointment, often times you can be seen the same day or the next day depending on his schedule. In most cases once you walk in, you will be directed to the separate waiting area for Dr. Smith's patients that includes bottled water, TV, and light healthy snacks. The longest I have had to wait is around five or 10 minutes. The nurse will come and get you, take you to an exam room, and talk about what the reason for your visit is and to take your vitals. I find it hard to believe in this day and age of HIPAA, that taking client information for marketing/sales purposes is considered valid or professional. read more
