There was some delay over the weekend -- he didn't call personally but sent a letter referring me to a specialist. I was initially frustrated and even drafted a negative review. However, he ultimately sent in the prescription for tamoxifen I had requested. I'm now starting treatment and hopeful it will help prevent further progression while I address the root cause. He listened to my concerns, reviewed my labs, and provided the medication once the additional testing was complete. With Dr. Konakis, I had just that. She didn't tell me what to do, she worked with me to find a solution we were both comfortable with. I recently moved to Vegas and, as such, had to change doctors. The doctor I have here is okay, but he's nothing like she is. I miss her terribly. Two things I didn't like: the wait to see her could be weeks, unless something was really wrong (I.e. not just a check up). Not her fault, she's popular. Second, some of her office staff were frustrating. One of the receptionists is kind of mean, and it was difficult to get message to the doctor if you spoke with certain people. But those are really minor things, and completely worth dealing with.

Many of the reviews fail to take that into consideration when they complain about the wait time. If you feel that you have a issue that requires more time they do schedule morning appointments. Yes I have had to wait but I also receive the continuity of care that I was not being afforded by my previous provider. My insurance requires I use Renown which guarantees that you will be seen the same day, what I experienced was that my primary would not be available and I would be set up with a new DR. each time I felt I needed same day care. . He LISTENS TO HIS PATIENTS and I feel he is worth the wait. The staff is friendly and there is very little turnover. Jeff still greets me with a smile at the front desk and his Medical Assistants are the best. Ricky has always returned my calls and keeps me informed of what the approximate wait will be. I wish him well in his endeavor to become a RN. He and his staff go above the call of duty. During a recent visit I was extremely ill and in severe pain. His med nurse, Kerri, noticed and got me in a room where I could lay down , with my teeth chattering from a fever the Medical Assistant brought a small heater into the room to make me more comfortable. Compassionate, client centered care is mission statement for this practice. I have called a few times over the past year to complain and they state yes we have been told it doesn't work. They neither fix the issue or change recommended way of paying your bill. And of course they are not happy if you don't pay it. In addition the MyChart has NO area to leave a concern or way of contacting someone to mention an issue.
