I received a stunning arrangement as a celebratory gift from Rose Cottage for my warning my doctorate. I'm absolutely stunned and impressed with this arrangement -- wow! The roses are big and beautiful, the lily will pop open and be gorgeous. My mom said she had great customer service, talked to a very nice lady on the phone who was excellent. There was a horrible snowstorm, so the delivery was delayed, but they did attempt to make it on the snowy day! I'm glad they were safe and didn't make their delivery driver work go out again. They arrived the next day, the driver called and left them at my door because I didn't answer, sorry! But they were wrapped in plastic to protect them, the card sitting nestled by the roses. I used to order from a well known floral shop in Madison but I have switched to Rose Cottage because the quality and priceing is so much better.The staff is always very nice and helpful. I just ordered an arrangement called pumpkin power for a very dear friend that turned 99 and she loved it. It was very full with flowers and fall leaves. I would love to support local small businesses and I appreciate the free delivery service. But it means nothing if they don't make the delivery happen. I ordered the Valentine's Day bouquet 8 days prior to the Valentine's Day and ask them to call the recipient. I received email around 10 pm on Valentine's Day saying the flower was delivered. But no flower was received and no phone call. I called them 6 times the next day and finally someone answered. The phone call cut off after I tell her my name. I called 2 more times and finally be able to explain the situation. She said "I am so sorry. We can give you a refund. The delivery confirmation email was sent automatically". The apology and the refund aren't so helpful for my Valentine's Day. I wish no one has to experience this in the future. I hope they can focus on improving their service and make the deliveries happen on the day they promised. I am sure they made a lot of successful deliveries. Fantastic service, knowledgeable staff, beautiful flowers. I ordered three separate bouquets of loose flowers last month (September 2020) for my wedding. I called earlier in the week to place the order and check flower selection. The person was extremely helpful and patient with me; that phone call lasted close to 15 minutes as I asked questions about which flowers were in stock/in season and when I should pick up the flowers (late the day before or early the day of my wedding). I called the day before to confirm that the flowers would be ready to go first thing the next morning, which was the promised time. I got there within 15 minutes of the store opening and I was greeted with a smile and my gorgeous flowers--no waiting, no nothing. In, out, and on with life. I ordered Valentines flowers for my wife from this company. We had to run some errands today (Valentines Day) and I got a call from them saying they were at my house and nobody was home. I advised I'd be home in 15 minutes or so and they could just leave them outside. The lady told me that it was so cold the flowers would be ruined even in that short period of time. I offered to run by the flower shop later to pick them up instead and she said that was fine, and that she'd tell me when she had completed her other deliveries. Instead, about 2 hours later, she called me and said she'd finished her other deliveries, and was able to swing back around and deliver the flowers for me again. "It's Valentines Day," she said. "You should be spending the day with your family, not driving to a flower shop." 30 minutes later, she was back with my flowers, and they were absolutely gorgeous. My mom ordered flowers for Mother's Day they were delivered this morning at 8 am from the deforest wi location. I have never received flowers where the petals are falling off at the time of delivery. These flowers are the ugliest bunch of dead wilted flowers I've ever received. I feel bad for my mom because I'm sure she spent more than the three dollars these ugly flowers cost when they were fresh cut. I needed to send a floral gift on fairly short notice. I was able to quickly navigate through the order process in my smartphone and the prices were very fair. But SERVICE is what really makes Rose Cottage stand out. They called me within minutes I my order to let me know that I had just missed the 2pm cut-off for same day local delivery. All the regular drivers were already out on deliveries. I assured the person that the recipient was at home and that the next day wouldn't work, so she volunteered to drive the order herself. I picked the bouquet that was listed for $39. it was pretty looking, purple flowers with bright orange roses. I ordered and they were delivered same day which was awesome. a couple issues, I had received an email that the flowers were delivered when they actually weren't - they were delivered a few hours later. Since I had received the delivery message, I called a couple hours later to inquire about it. The woman said that she couldn't get a hold of the driver and she would call me back. She never called back. Flowers were thankfully delivered and the recipient loved them :) the bouquet was a little smaller than I imagined it would be, customer service needs some improvement but I'd order again. read more

I had the delivery person call me suddenly on the day of delivery saying he couldn't leave the flowers even though I expressly told him he could. I knew my mother would be returning shortly. He gave me the number of his boss so I could call her and let her know that I was okay with leaving the flowers in the cold for a little bit. She was rude. She was shocked when I said that I put my own number down under recipient, as I wanted to surprise my parents, and was upset that I was making my own decisions about the flowers - "that is so unhelpful" were her exact words. It ended up being fine and the flowers were delivered, but the people who work for Rose Cottage made me feel like I'd done something wrong when they can't communicate amongst each other. I'm happy that my mother loved the flowers and that's what counts the most, but be prepared to argue on the phone. read more

After I talked to Romni, she seemed experienced and the price was very reasonable, so I decided to hire her. She did an amazing job with all our flower arrangements! She prepared: the bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 8 boutonnieres, church altar arrangements, and reception centerpieces. Everything was perfect! I was very surprised with her work. The day of the wedding, Romni arrived on time and the delivery arrived as planned. She even went the extra mile and helped decorate the church and our wedding cake, and gave us a free toss bouquet! I believe in supporting our local florist especially when the owner is so dedicated to making the customer 100% satisfied. I received a bouquet on Mother's Day. It did not reflect what I'd remembered in the quality of bouquets I'd sent or received before from The Rose Cottage. The bouquet must have had "problems in the car." I called the Cottage the next day --- Sherry & the owner made it clear that they would replace my bouquet immediately with a fresh bouquet. The Rose Cottage was very eager to please the customer. I do think that it is important on busy holidays or important events that delivery drivers are made more aware of how to care for flowers in the car as well as staff being careful that only beautiful, fresh bouquets go out for delivery. read more

I called to order flowers from the Rose Cottage for my niece specifically because they advertise free SAME DAY delivery. I called first thing in the morning to ask for delivery that day because of a special occasion for my niece who goes to U of W. Talking on the phone to order the arrangement was nightmare. The woman who I spoke with was distracted and there were several loud noises that kept interrupting us. I was concerned when I hung up that she had missed some information because she seemed rushed and like she was not paying close attention to our conversation or was not hearing me correctly. I was VERY upset when I discovered that my flowers were not in fact delivered that day. I called the next day to follow up, and the woman who I ordered with the day before was very, very rude about it. She told me she had them down to be delivered today, instead of yesterday. When I told her that wasn't correct she answered with, "Well what do you want me to do about it? They are out on the truck now for delivery." There was no apology, no acknowledging there had been an error. I am appalled at the poor customer service. I am now crossing my fingers that she got the message correct on the card, since when I called today they had my nieces name wrong on the order. Very disappointing. read more
