I had read Elaine Meszaros' great book, The Devil's Advocate's Guide to Planning Your Business…read moreWebsite (https://www.amazon.com/Devils-Advocates-Planni.../.../B0147B8WS4). It was helpful and informative and, like other examples of Elaine's writing, funny and entertaining. I had made and managed a website for my work as a musician and yoga teacher for many years, but it had a limited format and was time-consuming to update. So I asked Elaine to help me pull together an affordable new website that I could maintain, for the most part, on my own. She recommended WordPress, and she built the website with all of the features I asked for: the kind of menu that I liked, a homepage that moved the way that I wanted it to; soothing colors and a font that I liked; a place to schedule yoga sessions; a place for listening to cuts of songs and for buying downloads or CDs; and a blog. Elaine also helped me learn how to go in to work on the site, adding text, updates, and photos that I take. Learning to work with WordPress brought out all of my technophobic tics, and I needed a fair amount of help along the way. But Elaine stayed patient and clear with me, and we got it done... And I now have a website that I really like, and the basic skills to work with it, update it, and keep it going on my own. Elaine Meszaros is great. She is smart, funny, and knows how to work well with crotchety clients who have a hard time learning a new technology. I'm sure she would do well with mellower clients, too! I recommend her highly--as a very creative visual artist and graphic designer, as a web designer, and as an educator who can demystify tech processes and make them accessible for people like me who struggle with them. WAIT. Hold up. How had I NEVER reviewed this amazing place?! *headdesk*…read more Let's back up to 2015....when I used their services for our wedding set at a barn in Poynette. I rented two windows for our buffet menu and seating chart. I could've rented more things, but I really had to do my best to hold back because they have a TON in their inventory that I could've used. Alas, the budget did not allow such a splurge. Don't get me wrong - they're not absurdly expensive. Personally, I would've spent too much because I don't know when to stop sometimes.... I opted out of the custom writing as I wanted to do it myself with my BFF/MOH as a fun project. Even though we didn't request their custom writing services, they did provide suggestions on what to use, which was super helpful! Staff was just overall very friendly and pleasant to work with. Pick up was super easy - it took maybe 5-10 minutes from driving up to getting it loaded. Drop off was even easier. I'm not sure when we'd use them again, but I do recommend them to friends who are seeking a vintage look for their special events.

My wife and I held our outdoor / tent reception wedding in northern Wisconsin and were having a…read morevery hard time finding a tablescape we were satisfied with. Then we found A La Crate and their amazing wood tables and everything fell into place. Tablecloth linen rentals are astronomical in price. For almost the same cost we could rent amazing wood tables from A La Crate (we took 18 of them) and didn't have to worry about packing up a bunch of tablecloths after the reception to ship back to the rental company. A La Crate made the drop-off and pick-up insanely easy. I highly recommend you visit their shop because, while their web site features useful photography, there's nothing like seeing everything with your own eyes. They have so much great stuff. We found additional things we didn't know we needed (great assortment of dessert serving trays and tiers) and fancy bride and groom chairs that set our spot out a bit from our guests. And it was all reasonably priced of course. I can't recommend them highly enough. I'm so grateful we found them, I honestly don't know what we would have done had we not.

Doug makes our sessions so much fun and we always end up with photos that look amazing! As our kids have gotten older, they look forward to seeing Doug each year. Getting a 12 year old boy to actually not mind getting his picture taken is no easy task, but Doug seems to do it every year. Our family has truly appreciated the photos that Twig & Olive Photography has captured for us over the years. These photos are such wonderful memories that we will have forever. We used Kyla as our wedding photographer and I really can't recommend her highly enough. The price…read moreshe offered us was about half what we would have paid the premium creme-de-la-creme of Wisconsin wedding photographers, and I really believe we got top-notch service from start to finish, including the most important part -- breathtakingly gorgeous pictures. We had Kyla for 10 hours, which is a very long day (the max that I have seen for wedding photographers) and she gave it her all from beginning to end. We got the getting-ready shots, first meeting between bride and groom, pictures on location before the wedding, pictures at the ceremony, another location after the ceremony, and the reception. I had a fairly specific idea in my head of how I wanted the day to unfold and where we wanted pictures taken, but Kyla actually suggested some locations we hadn't thought of that turned out to be fantastic. I was impressed by how she kept things moving so we didn't end up missing our entire reception while we were taking pictures. Kyla really captured so many special moments throughout the day. We have the requisite photos with family and bridal party, but so many more lovely candid moments as well. We received all of the high-resolution original images promptly (about 4 weeks later) on a CD, with many different "takes" (color, B&W, sepia, horizontal, vertical, etc.) on each scene. Kyla was very responsive helping me get a higher-resolution version of an image we wanted to print at a large size. She was very pleasant to work with -- not a prima donna as some photographers can be. I really can't imagine getting better service at any price. We were absolutely thrilled with Kyla's work and would recommend her to anyone.
