I visit Daffodil Parker yearly to pick up Valentine's Day flowers for my better half and my daughter and always leave impressed. They do an outstanding job and I enjoy they use different and unique flowers in their arrangements. Ordering is easy through their online form but take note-it is not automated and they will call once they receive. I like that is it allows me to describe exactly what I am looking for and provide more context that a simple click of a button for a generic arrangement. My office participated in a wreath making workshop yesterday, and it was so much fun! When we first walked in, there was a holiday cookie spread, along with cider, coffee and water. The cookies were delicious! It was so thoughtful to have a tray available for us to snack on. Shannon and Jason were so helpful and informative, never leaving us in the dark or confused about the process. I was nervous going in, as it seemed overwhelming, but they made the day so seamless and fun! I couldn't believe how well my wreath turned out, and how beautiful everyone else's was as well! I absolutely plan to come back next year and bring my mom and sister-in law with me - what a super cool activity for the holiday season! Daffodil Parker really helped out my family to help us surprise my younger sister. We found out my younger sister had received a prestigious award in her field, but did not tell us. We found out on a Friday afternoon and wanted to do something special for her; however, we live across the country. I found Daffodil Parker online and filled out a request for flowers later Friday evening for Monday. They responded to me by Saturday and by Monday, a gorgeous display of flowers was delivered to my sister's workplace. They were even able to add some Dahlia's in the arrangement since they were her favorite flowers. My sister absolutely loved it. My wife and I worked with Casey Bilyeu at daffodil parker for our August 2020 wedding, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Casey was an absolute delight to work with. Since our initial quote to daffodil parker in February, we knew we had a great florist with the prompt, flexible and thorough communication through phone and email. Our first in-person meeting with Casey was great, she connected with us on a personal level, but also really impressed us with her professionalism and knowledge of her craft. She was very patient and understanding in walking through the many options, while still making sure we were listened to. We never felt pressured to add more than what was in our budget. We had a bridal bouquet, boutonnières, corsages, a flower girl wand, arch flowers, cake flowers and a couple of centerpieces for the reception. With the rise of the pandemic, Casey was unbelievably understanding and flexible with the changes that we had to make over the course of the couple of months. When the wedding came, Casey and her team were really amazing in getting everything to us on time (at the Madison Concourse Hotel, Cento, and MMoCA) and all set up, being safe and wearing masks and keeping as much distance as possible. Erin was actually the only wedding florist we met with in Madison because when we met with her, we knew instantly that she was the perfect choice. And we were right. Let's just say, her work exceeded any and every expectation we had for our wedding flowers! Like most other brides, I was Pinterest obsessed. I learned the hard way that, unless you're a millionaire, 90% of the flower ideas on Pinterest are completely unrealistic. Luckily, Erin was able to make our dreams a reality at a price we could afford. She priced out each individual item for us, so we could choose what we wanted to do while staying within our budget. I used Daffodil Parker for my bridal bouquet for a late August wedding. I was planning a wedding from out of town and was looking for a florist. I contacted them later than the usual recommended timeline - about 3-4 months away from my date. Thankfully, I was able to get a response and a "yes, I can do your bouquet" from here. We did a consultation over the phone. I spoke with Monica. Of course, since it was over the phone, we could only go over the color scheme, types of flowers and type of bouquet. The reason I took one star off was that they got pretty busy with the wedding season come May and I was lost in the shuffle for a few weeks as I was waiting on a follow up from the phone consultation . In the end, without meeting in person or knowing really what I was going to get, the bouquet I received was out of this world ahhhmazing. Loved it. Everyone couldn't even stop complimenting the beauty and artistry of the bouquet. Flowers were so fresh and were of high quality. It survived the night out in the rain (yes, I had a rainy wedding) and the next day. The bouquet was fresh, beautiful, and artistic. Daffodil Parker even adds a complimentary bouquet toss. That is some top service here. To top things off, the location was convenient for me as well as I also had planned a first look at the Centennial gardens on UW Madison's campus. Their shop is conveniently located down the street. They did my wedding flowers last summer and from the upbeat personnel, the amazing attention to detail, complete flexibility and willing to work with you on any adjustments (up to the day before the wedding when I switched out some flowers!!) even the sweet way they write out your estimate (think "darling head wreaths" and "a classic, elegant gathered bouquet in shades of hot pink") - they truly take your wedding as seriously as you do and go to great lengths to make sure you have every special detail exactly as you want it. They were prompt upon delivery the day of, and even made sure to ask my approval on my final bouquet at delivery - I told them to make it HUGE and they were worried it would be too heavy... but it was exactly what I was looking for. We had heard great things about them! Before the wedding reception, they were great to work with. The contract stated they would be there to set up at 3. I finally called at 4!! The guests were coming at 5! Since we were providing the lanterns for the center pieces, I got them all on the tables. Finally a guy showed up around 4:15, since I didn't know if I should turn them on right away and the guy didn't know either since the stylist hadn't shown up yet!!! She finally came around 4:30 so here I am (mother of the bride) running around turning on lanterns 15 minutes before guest arrived! I have to say the flowers and center pieces were beautiful and they did knock some money off the bill since I complained. So I thought it was over. The check was mailed and cashed. HOWEVER we just got an email asking where our payment was. And did we need to make arrangements! Good Lord. A terrible way to run a business! The people at Daffodil Parker were an absolute delight to work with. I loved their vision and their willingness to work with what I wanted for my wedding, including the fact that I really wanted local flowers. The bouquet they made for me (the bride) was exactly what I wanted and was just stunning (picture uploaded). The bridesmaids' bouquets were what we discussed but admittedly were a tad underwhelming. I was also very appreciative of the fact that the day before the wedding I spontaneously decided that I wanted flowers for my bridesmaids' hair. Daffodil Parker was immediately responsive to my e-mails and the flowers they provided matched beautifully. My one disappointment was with the flower comb they provided for me. I had seen pictures of big beautiful flower combs that they've done for other weddings but what arrived was an all white and not in full bloom comb with one large bud and 2-3 smaller buds. It was lovely but not what I had in mind. Fortunately, they provided plenty of the single buds for the bridesmaids so my hairdresser improvised and used as many of the single buds as she wanted to in my hair before adding the flowers to the bridesmaids' hair. This was an effective strategy except that I danced out all the single buds by the end of the night -- no regrets on that though! Overall, I was very happy with the florist and would recommend them for your wedding. read more
