On hold so long, finally called back. I had picked out a couple of examples from the website, the person answering was not familiar with their examples on the web. While she was searching, she suggested an arrangement she'd made "the week before" ... I declined the offer, as I preferred "fresh" flowers. She eventually came up with something "similar" to the examples on Felly's web site. Said she could not get them delivered timely the next morning, so we agreed on "this afternoon before five". The location would hold them for me until morning. She never gave me the final amount, I'm estimating $175. The ordering process took over a half hour!! When we arrived at the event the next morning, there were no flowers. I called Felly's and the person said they'd be delivered "this afternoon" .... Which would be after the event! She acknowledged an error had been made and "apologized". I asked if she could get them delivered yet in the morning, but despite their error that was a definite "no". Afternoon, after the event, take it or leave it. I canceled the order. I got a call back and the person acknowledged there had been an error and "apologized". Asked if I still wanted the order...I stuck to the cancellation as the event would be past. The employees didn't seem to understand how the timing could be important. I had originally called a Felly's location near the delivery point. I now believe deliveries are prepared at a central location, so it may be prudent to call their main number. They may have more knowledgeable people, less prone to error and a better chance of getting delivery when agreed upon. Or, you may try a more "hands on" florist for your orders with better product knowledge and care.

We had our wedding this past weekend and Sunborn was by far our least favorite vendor. Emails with them were short, blunt, with no explanations or suggestions. We had no idea what our bouquets or boutonnières were going to look like until the day-of. They sent a "sneak peek" the night before of my bouquet, but with no message to go along with it - just a single close-up photo of a bouquet which was a bit odd. They just seemed really uninvested and uninterested in our wedding to be honest. (Sometimes I wondered if they were this way because we weren't spending thousands of dollars on flowers, so they didn't feel it was important to treat us as valued customers - who knows.) Then the day of the wedding, someone from Sunborn arrived and plopped the box of flowers on the ground, somewhere on-site. Our day-of coordinator had no idea where they were or who left them. We received no calls or emails letting us know the flowers had arrived. As a result, the groomsmen took all of their photos wearing no boutonnières because we didn't think the flowers had arrived yet. We paid extra for delivery because we sort of thought the florist would help us pin boutonnières or at least greet us with the box. It was so unprofessional. We had to search for the box and then do everything ourselves which was stressful and super irritating as the bride. The bridesmaid's bouquets were certainly pretty, but not much smaller than my bouquet and we paid 3x the price for mine which was also odd and not something I was super happy about. Overall, the quality of the flowers were great and everything they provided did look nice, but I wouldn't do business with them again simply because of how unprofessional and uninterested they were throughout the entire wedding planning process. I also didn't like being in the dark about what we were paying for. Not knowing what the flowers would look like until the day-of and then not loving the quality of my bouquet for the money we paid for it was frustrating, but there was nothing we could do. I hate leaving bad reviews but everyone in my wedding party agreed they were unprofessional and felt I should say something.

I love love love the gal that runs the place...she practically lives there to make things happen for her clients no matter what they need I recently read the rather harsh review by Carlos and kind of thought he was way off base. They offer some plastic wrapped roses and all the other loose flowers to make a bouquet YOURSELF . Price savings...a DIY option. Similar to a grocery store...no one cuts or puts those in a vase there either. While Carlos might think any "monkey" could do what he expected, at certain hours of their business day the staff are high school girls with a couple hours a night to help out and aren't meant to be "designing". Certainly by his tone and word choice he was most likely very intimidating to them. If i had been there when this was happening I would have called him out for bullying these girls. When I want to grab that discount priced item I am getting that great price to do the work at home. When I want the long stem flowers created into a fantastic gift I realize I can have this done when the design staff is there...I got the impression that Carlos expected this shop and perhaps any other to have people there 24/7...that's ridiculous!!! He couldn't walk into a medical facility and have the receptionist give him a check up ... Felly's has a great reputation, and I always find that I receive that high level standard at this shop ...I want my flowers made into a design by someone who excels at design...and I certainly know these young ladies all have different roles in their shop. He wanted something done, but in every successful business, there are rules and protocol for employees so the best product is available for the general public.

Coordinating this from five thousand miles away while deployed is a bit of a pain in the ass, as I usually like to see everything first-hand. Buffo was extremely helpful, gave me exactly what I wanted, and, after seeing my girl's pictures after she received them, I was extremely pleased. It'll be nice to go here in person once I'm back, as I'll continue to use their flowers religiously.
