My son was starting first year university, we made a deal to rent out one of their rental properties, passed the financial criteria and put down the damage deposit and the first 1/2 months rent ahead of time. As we had secured a place for my son to live, he cancelled his application to live in residence. Two days before he is supposed to move in, we get an email on a Sunday night saying that we no longer have the place with no reasons as to why. They did not even have the decency to call and explain. This is approximately 2 weeks before university starts. We were left with a mad scramble just before school started to find a suitable place which cost us a whole lot of time and money. On a positive note, at least the person we dealt with tried to help us find another place. There were safety code violations (a large hole cut into the furnace cold air return) in the suite they were renting, that I pointed out and requested they fix which probably was the basis of their decision to reject us. I would strongly caution all tenants that deal with this company to get everything in writing as in our case they did not honour our agreement and found a backdoor method to reject us at the last minute. (Said the owners daughter was moving into that basement suite, which I believe was not true). Sly by definition = Having or showing a cunning and deceitful nature. At least they are living up to their name.

I would not recommend Maureen or MOJO DESIGN. My renovations were not satisfying. Walls remained…read moredamaged. She tried to wipe them instead of repainting. Furniture arrived late and damaged. Some items were not as described and did not match pictures that were sent. Project was was over 6 weeks late and still not completed. Some renovation items were not completed and they still requested full payment. I requested reciepts for costs but she refused to provide and demanded payment. I am not accusing them for fault for this, but a theft occured at the job site which had no forced entry. I would NOT recommend this company.
