From start to finish, he was completely attentive to all our needs and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was everything we dreamed of. Mike facilitated every major moment seamlessly, from our grand entrance to the last dance. He kept the entire event on track and flowing effortlessly and took so much stress off our shoulders, allowing us to simply enjoy the moment. What stood out most was how kind, caring, and genuinely invested Mike was in making our wedding perfect. He truly listened to our vision and brought it to life. The music was absolutely spot-on--exactly what we wanted--and kept the party going strong all night! Mike also offered fantastic input and creative ideas that really elevated the experience. The photo booth was a huge hit with our guests, and the lighting was nothing short of incredible. It felt like we were at a high-end dance club--the lights even matched the vibe of each song, adding so much energy to the dance floor. Guests were literally asking us for his contact info by the end of the night, which speaks volumes. If you want someone who will go above and beyond, treat your celebration like it's his own, and create a truly unforgettable experience, look no further. If you need a DJ for any event, do not hesitate--hire Mike. You will not be disappointed!

Fancy flash has a roaming photo booth where someone essentially walks around with a giant selfie camera. It's even less expensive than a traditional photo booth. It was amazing! All of the guests loved it - old and young. Guests have all of the pictures texted to them and we received a copy as well. They even created a beautiful border for the pictures that matched our colors and theme. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a photo booth at a fraction of the cost of a traditional one and with fewer logistics.

I am not typically one to write a nasty review because I used to work in food service and I learned…read morethat some customers simply cannot be pleased. However, I had a TERRIBLE experience with this business today after doing nothing wrong and I feel that I could probably help some fellow brides avoid a similar situation by explaining what happened to me here. I contacted EEG two days ago about renting a drapery backdrop for my wedding in two months. I fully intended on renting from them because they have done events at my venue before, and I am in a hurry. Someone replied to me very quickly and we set up an appointment for today. My last e-mail sent two days ago read: "Perfect! See you then!" This morning, I had a dress-fitting appointment. EEG sent me an e-mail to confirm my afternoon appointment while I was at my dress fitting, so I did not see it. When I got out of my dress fitting appointment, I called EEG to see if it was possible for them to see me early because I was ahead of schedule and close by. The woman on the phone informed me that no, they could not see me early (that's not a problem), and also that my appointment had been cancelled because I had not responded to the confirmation e-mail sent three hours prior. They booked another appointment in place of mine. My mom drove in from out of town to come with me to the appointment. I was very disappointed and when I expressed my disappointment (in other words, I WAS PISSED!), they offered me an evening appointment and proceeded to say "We aren't going to argue with you. Do you want to come in or not?" I said no thank you. This business had no reason to believe that I wouldn't show up to my appointment. My guess is that they got an opportunity to make more money off another client and so they disregarded my business. I am so disgusted and I have never experienced such terrible customer service. I'm sure their linens are beautiful but this business needs to learn that personality is everything when it comes to running a successful business. Very, very disappointed.

Two Thumbs Up for Encore!…read more Encore Event Group knocked it out of the park for our party in celebration of the consecration of Bishop Perry on Friday night! This bunch of Episcopalians from near and far had a blast, and danced the night away with Encore! We so much appreciate Rob, Nicole, and the team's professionalism and service. Everything went smoothly on the front end, all the way through the event. Our playlist was fulfilled perfectly, and the evening ended right on time with "Don't Stop Believing", which was sheer perfection! Also, you read the crowd perfectly, and added just the right additional songs, including that Polka music. How did you know? Many Thanks! We are going to work with to get on your calendar for an event this October. We highly recommend Encore Event Group!

We opted to have the DJ serve as an MC as well, and he did an amazing job as a showman! He got the crowd excited to dance and kept them interested with throwback jams, unique mixes, etc. Every now and then he would call my husband or I out to do some special thing on the floor. He even brought me up in the booth to DJ a bit with the headphones and turntables (even though I had no idea what I was doing - it was fun!). His set up was incredible. He had his own portable light-up DJ booth, a stand with color changing lights for the dance area, huge speakers, and a wireless microphone. His mix of music styles was exactly what I wanted. I think the number one compliment we have received about the wedding was how awesome the DJ was. We actually asked him to stay over our contracted time because everyone was having so much fun. I cannot recommend this company enough - it makes me want to throw another party just to hire them! As an additional note, the price and service in the months leading up to the wedding were also top-notch. They have a customer portal where you can build your music preferences, request songs to play (or not play), and even set up songs dedicated to other people. Depending on how much you want your DJ to participate (as I said - we went for full showman), you can also fill out all the extra details of your wedding on there, such as names of wedding party, parents, order of toasts, etc. Even though you can do everything online, we talked a few times to go over specific details carefully. I could tell he really wanted to understand the vibe of our wedding and our style before arriving. He was professional, entertaining, hilarious, and one h*ll of a DJ. With an incredible affordable price to boot, I could not have picked a better service.

Detroit Photo Bar is AWESOME!…read more My fiancé and I wanted to have a photo booth at our wedding, but we were looking for something beyond the standard photo booth experience. When we discovered Detroit Photo Bar, we were intrigued with the open-air set-up. It did not disappoint! The open-air booth allowed for bigger group photos, higher quality images and it was more engaging for guests that were waiting in line. It was a total hit with everyone! Prior to the event, I had the pleasure of working with Sarah and she was incredibly helpful and accommodating. She was quick to respond to my emails and very flexible with my requests. She even allowed me to design a custom backdrop and template for our photo prints. At the event, both Sarah and her husband Kyle, went above and beyond to make sure everyone was enjoying the photo booth. They were friendly, attentive and patient (which probably wasn't the easiest after 4+ hours of an open bar ;-)). I highly recommend Detroit Photo Bar for your wedding or next big event!
