Chicago fans

Ambience is a step above a diner, but they try with some nice homemade decorations. Had a very good white pizza with excellent crust, topped with great tomato slices. Could use more aioli sauce for topping like Mellow Mushroom's. Side house salad came with a nice balsamic dressing. Server was helpful and attentive.

Italian Beef
Brian M.

Ordered the Italian Beef wet with sweet peppers. This is what I got with a tiny side of au jus. I don't know if this is due to cost cutting/inflation or what, but this is a travesty for a place the prides itself on being from Chicago. This isn't what the beef of an Italian beef is supposed to look like & it is about half of the meat I used to get, and was dry even with the TINY cup of au jus on the side. Absolutely no pride in a sandwich that defines a city.

Great pizza great food bartender was super nice. We sat at the bar, watch sports and had delicious pizza.

Meat Mania did not taste like meat.
Elsa A.

Wanted to try something new other than Lil Caesar Pizza. Went in & greeted by friendly staff. We ordered a couple of pizzas...large Meat Mania & large Pepperoni. After eating few slices, we found the pizza was burnt underneath. It was difficult to eat the crust. It was hard to chew. The pizzas were bland, no flavor at all. The Meat Mania did not taste like meat at all! I would like to give this place a better review but 2 stars for this visit. Update: we have had upset stomach & diarrhea since buying pizza from here. Perfectly fine before Rosati's. Maybe manager can give us refund or credit to try something different.

Food is hot, service is friendly, ambiance is family friendly atmosphere. The meatball sandwich, salad, fries, is awsome!, price is good.

Packed Bags for Curbside Pickup
Dennis T.

My recent first curbside pickup experience here was mixed. All items were ready about five minutes after the estimated time, and popped into the trunk by a masked staffer. But problems began to be noted after a left turn two blocks later, when the car's trunk suddenly flew up. Even though I answered affirmatively when asked if I wanted the trunk closed after the food was placed in it, it was obviously not latched securely. Then when I arrived home after getting out of the car to properly shut the trunk, other miscues began to mount up. Diane's Baked Penne Alfredo asked to be topped with Mozzarella Cheese was instead covered with Ricotta Cheese, which she simply hates. And the Alfredo Sauce was very skimpy. A second item for Diane--Chicken Parmigiano Alfredo with Fettuccine--was made with spaghetti instead of fettuccine, and included but one hamburger-patty-sized chicken breast and little Alfredo Sauce. Two ordered extra sides of Alfredo Sauce that were in tiny containers did not even make up for the lack of enough basic sauce. Mozzarella Sticks did not ooze cheese, and tasted like the frozen variety, while Breaded Mushrooms dipped in a mild Ranch Dressing were small but good. Cheesy Garlic Bread was well melted. Regular Garlic Bread was okay if unremarkable. And an Antipasto Salad with pepperoni and Canadian Ham, Green and Black Olives, Green Peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, Red Onion, cheese, and an excellent Sweet Italian Dressing was large and satisfying. So was my entree of Spaghetti & Meatballs with Italian Sausage & Meat Sauce. But instead of Meat Sauce, the dish was made with Marinara Sauce. Fortunately, with two big meatballs and slightly spicy cut-up sausage, this item still tasted very good. But the wrong sauce was applied. Because all items ordered were correctly listed on the receipt I received, the several errors made clearly rest with the cook--not the order taker. Portions for all entrees were very large, which was appreciated. But there were plainly too many errors of execution in the kitchen. 2-1/2 stars overall this time around!

My first time having Chicago style pizza and it was pretty good, won't be my go to since I'm a true NYer but I have to say it wasn't bad. The sauce was pretty good, nice and cheesy with the right type of sausages lol. I'm not a big fan of the crust but like I said it was good. I will try other Chicago style pizza

I've seen so many people visit just for their famous "Fat Babies," which are bread cones stuffed with pasta, but we decided to try something a little different. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but the staff was super friendly and welcoming. You can also make reservations online, which I would definitely recommend, especially if you're going with a larger group. For dinner, we ordered the Pizza Pie, which was half pepperoni pizza and half calzone stuffed with fettuccine Alfredo. The best part is that you can customize the filling with whatever you like! The portion was HUGE and could easily feed 3-4 people, depending on your appetite. The food was great all around! The pizza was delicious, and the garlic knots -- they're practically a meal on their own! they were hot and delicious!

We ordered a Big Baby, a hoagie bigger than my man's arm, packed with saucy pasta and it was messy, hilarious, and absolutely worth the chaos. I tasted a lot of garlic and herbs in the rosemary garlic knots that hit the table hot and with a pillowy interior, and you can top them with whatever you're craving. Don't skip the lemonade - tart, sweet, refreshing, and a little earthy. Service was fun, the food was memorable, and there's a tiny dining room, so reservations help.

It feels like it transcends you into a different city. The actual locale of the restaurant feels super random because unless you know it's on Rancho, you would totally miss it due to it being in a lot with stores that don't match it's same ambience. However, the servers have all been friendly each time I've gone. The food has good flavor. Now that it's getting chilly outside, the wedge salad and pasta e fagioli are perfect, but I have tried the salmon and eggplant parmesan as well, and both are good. They have a huge wine list, I've tried a different one each time I go, and all of them were refreshing. Their crème brûlée is perfect way to end the meal. It's the perfect texture and perfect amount of burnt on top. Now some Thursday evenings they have live jazz, other evenings they do paint nights. The other night I went and they were doing a murder mystery dinner, so everyone not doing that had to sit on their other side of the restaurant. It would've been fine, but the servers kept leaving the door open and the show and tables were extremely loud. Needless to say, their activities are very random, doesn't seem to have a consistency so I would suggest you go on their IG page to see what's happening each week. The jazz nights are my fav. The band is fantastic! The End.

Like Zepploe's coated in SALT not sugar and when called to let them know-not even a simple "sorry about that ". There was an offer to remake but after a mouth of salt crusted dough you're pretty grossed out. Pizza and customer service in general was on the decline. My husband wanted pizza for his Father's Day Feast so he decided to give Lino's another shot. So glad we did! There was a very friendly man working behind the counter when we picked up the TGO. He was personable, professional and asked if my husband was a father. My hubby replied-yes and the man kindly offered a piece of tiramisu on the house. So nice! Everything about the pizza was BETTER! Even the box has been updated. The dough, sauce, cheese and toppings were all seemingly better quality with more flavor. I wonder if Lino's is under new management, ownership or if there was an overhaul of what had been declining but we love the changes. I was on the fence at first because of its location but decided to give them a try anyway. Upon entry I noticed a distinct smell and couldn't figure out what it was. It wasn't overbearing but it wasn't pleasant. The place was small and decor is cute and simple with a home-like feel. We arrived at 6pm no reservations and were the only there so we were immediately seated. Our server was Kara (or close I'm sorry if I got it wrong) who was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, attentive, was patient explaining the menu, and continued to check on us. We ordered, the garlic bread with cheese, Caesar salad, meatball, chicken parmesan with penne vodka, and the chicken chature I believe that's what it's called. Side note; they offer happy hour prices from 4-6. The complimentary garlic bread was delicious with fresh chopped garlic. The Caesar salad was simple and was also very good. They used the nice green chopped Romaine leaves with real Parmesan. We did find a piece of plastic on the salad unfortunately and didn't mention it, as this didn't stop me from eating it and we all make mistakes lol The meat ball was tender and the tomato sauce tasted fresh and not overly sweet like most places. The coating on the chicken was perfect and was cooked to perfection. Overall, both chicken dishes were made fresh with quality ingredients, plated very nicely and were really good. The portions are also huge so the price point is reasonable. We both took half our meals home. However, both dishes could have used a bit more seasoning. My chicken parmesan could have used a little salt, garlic, and Italian spices and my boyfriend said the same. Still good but just providing my feedback and based on reviews a lot of feel the same. For all of it, we paid about $45 and I added a $15 tip because she deserves more than the average 20%. My overall experience was great, I will be coming back, and I will be recommending this place. I would just suggest adding a bit more seasoning, looking into the weird smell going entry, and advice that the cook wear gloves at all times. He was wearing gloves when we came in but I then witnessed him using his bare hand to separate the linguini noodles

Granted, it's pretty hard not to like a pizza with that much meat on it, but they definitely did a great job. The pizza was a little on the well-done side, which I personally don't mind at all. I also tried the garlic knots. They were good, but I felt they lacked a little flavor. The marinara was good, but the ranch was absolutely amazing! The restaurant itself is small and quaint, with a really nice atmosphere. It's a little darker inside, they play good music, and I love the handwritten menu. One thing I especially like is that you can sit there and watch them make the pizzas, which adds to the experience. They also serve wine, which gives the place a little more of that authentic Italian feel. I really like their monster slice deal, which includes a side. It's a nice way to get a little variety without ordering a ton of food. The 8-10 minute wait wasn't bad either. My only real complaint was the soda machine. About half the options were unavailable, including Coke Zero and any other diet soda, which was a little disappointing. Overall, great pizza, a cozy atmosphere, and a nice little spot to grab a bite. When we try a new pizza spot for the first time, we always just do a cheese pizza. Feel like that's where the quality comes in play. So we ordered a 18" cheese pie. No add-ons, just how it comes. Needless to say, extremely disappointed!! It was dry, the sauce it had was tasteless with pieces of brown cooked basil. No taste of basil either. Looks like it got hit with cheese on half or just on a budget with cheese. The slices were weird. Not even. Some thin, some a little bigger. Most places cut the pieces large on bigger pies. Maybe it's different here. But not by the pics on the site. One piece is missing in my picture because I had to at least taste it. Ended up ordering a pie from somewhere else and just not eating it. Won't be doing this spot again. Sadly because the pictures of some of the pies look great!
